Hones Pointe was established in 1988. It was built by four insurance agents to elude our sales managers in a unique natural setting. Over the years, we have planted many different varieties of trees and perennials to observe. Also evidence exists of this area being an Indian camp long ago as suggested by arrowheads and an old handmade rock wall. Primitive camping where you can pick your own scenic spot. We will furnish picnic table, fire ring, garbage can, and charcoal grill during your campout. Welcome!

Primitive Tent & Boondocking Sites

We had a great time, but there were a lot of ticks that got on all of us and our 3 dogs. There were no showers available. Swimming bugs in the hillbilly Hot tub. The owner was really personable and the petting zoo was a great addition. My 2 kids enjoyed swimming and fishing in the river and even tried to inner tube down the rapids. My daughter got all banged up. There were also honey locust trees at our campsite and my son had it go through his flip flip into his foot. My husband had it go into his hand, shoulder, and foot. The campsites themselves were beautiful, clean and well-kept. Each one was unique we noticed when we explored. There's only port a potties, no restroom. No sanitizer in them either.

Awesome campground

Great place to camp, awesome owner, awesome creek to play in, highly recommend this place. Very peaceful, great place to bring your kids. They have a petting zoo and a huge playground.

Great campground!

Steve was very personable and friendly. The RV camp site and whole campground is well maintained. We had an electric and water site , but were on end so we had a lot of space. It was quiet and very relaxing. The kids loved the petting zoo and the playground. The non-electric sites are large and very secluded which is nice. There is a common area for campers to hang out and walk to the river. There is a place to play volleyball or badminton too.. Very nice campground! We really enjoyed it!!

This was absolutely perfect for tent camping. A lot of places are centered on RVs. And you can bring an RV here, don't get me wrong. But this is a campground that makes tent campers feel at home. Steve is a great host and is incredibly friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again.

Great time

It was a great time. The creek was nice and the site we chose was pretty secluded. We never actually met the owner, even though we waited at the shelter for quite some time. But regardless, it was an incredible time and I’d recommend it 100%
