RV's can use the 50 amp plug (30 amp will need an adapter. I have one you can use if you don't own one of your own) and hose for water. I have an outdoor shower and a camping toilet. I am ... - one hour from Lexington, Louisville, Elizabethtown, and Frankfort.- 1 mile from a mini mart with Gas, Ice, Pizza, Chicken Wings, Sandwiches, ect.- 6 miles from Dollar General and A pizza Restaurant - 15 ish miles from Wal-mart and other chain stores and restaurants I'm a great travel guide so feel free to tell me what your in town for or things you like to do. I will happily make you up a list of things to do and see and places to eat. Keenland, Churchill Downs, The Bourbon Tour (Jim Beam, Makers Mark, Heaven Hill, and many others) are within an hour of here. Also within an hour are 2 great bike paths, wonderful hiking and kayaking. As well as Great Shopping and Restaurants. Anything your heart desires. Using GPS Directions i would suggest avoiding Tunnel Mill Rd and Murphy Lane if towing a camper or driving an RV.

We're also just 8 miles from the hiking trails at the Berea College Pinnacles, 8 miles to Owsley Fork Reservoir, 20 minutes to Anglin Falls, 12 miles to Berea, 35 minutes to Richmond, Ky, and a scenic hour to Red River Gorge. This is a tent site, easy to drive into and out of, fires permitted in season. THISTLEDOWN GATHERING PLACE: This is a very large meadow, surrounded by trees with the capacity for large groups, many tents and gatherings of lots of people. Very level, easy in and out with vehicles. Fires permitted in season. WHITETAIL SANCTUARY: Every night for decades a herd of whitetail deer graze in this pastoral setting. Drive in and out, fires in season. Suitable for a family sized tent. THE PENNINSULA: This camping spot is WALK IN ONLY. You can drive to the trailhead on grass and walk the path to the campsite (about 200 yards). One of two remote sites. It sits in the woods, on the bank of a wet weather creek which flows around two sides of the campsite. Fires permitted in season. TOTEM TREES: This site is WALK IN ONLY. A short hike down the hill from the grass parking area and you have a small spot for a tent, in the woods, surrounded by trees and a lot of standing dead ash which appear as if you are in the presence of totem poles. NO OPEN FIRES. MUST USE BACKPACKER STOVE AND FLAMELESS LIGHTING. SPOTTED FAWN HIDEAWAY: This totally secluded walk in campsite is suitable for a small tent only AND PERFECT FOR HAMMOCK CAMPING. Wow where to start. The farm is beautiful. So much land to hike and enjoy nature. The hosts were so kind and helpful with everything. The bunkhouse was great - with good sleeping bags and some blankets it works great in winter. The farmhouse/kitchen was incredible. So cozy and everything you could need to cook great meals and feel at home. Honestly could not recommend this place more. Affordable, beautifully designed, warm, and so many thoughtful details like yummy coffee and tea. They have so many options to stay- great place for everybody!

Summers in the south get stupid hot. So I jumped in the lake. And I don't regret it.

One of my favorite camping trips I've ever taken with Hipcamp! The host was the most accommodating and gracious host I've ever had, full stop. The property is gorgeous and the sites are spread out enough that it feels secluded and private. The facilities that were available were clean and stocked. Everything was 5 star worthy!

Weekend Trip to Punkin Hollow Resort

Beautiful property tucked away from it all but still close to hiking and dining. The A-frame was super comfortable and clean, as was the communal kitchen, hang out, bathroom building. Excited to see how everything comes together as they are adding a store and other features. We will be back! :)

First off - The family is so wonderful and helpful. Second - The views are so worth the drive. Third - My dog loved being off the leash. Plenty of new smells. Fourth - I wish it had not been so cold and I had more time to take advantage of the pond. Great place that I would recommend to all.

1 night at Overlook Farm Camping

What a great place! Doesn’t show its glory until you go around the barn to park/hook up, then wow! Rolling hills. Horses. Pounds with ducks. Beautiful. Best sunrise in a long time. AND: Driving up -go slow and take the third gate just like she says. Do NOT go too far -it is a long, winding, hilly, narrow road to get back (took an hour in the dark, dark, dark night). So glad we found this place!

This was the coolest place we’ve ever camped at! The hosts were super nice and easy to communicate with, they also recommended a lot of different things to see/do. The animals were very friendly and sociable, especially Little Rat and Frank. Overall very nice property!

I had a great experience. I stayed at Holmes Hideaway site and it was beautiful - on the river with seclusion, fire pits, and plenty of tree cover. I went in mid-november and it was not crowded. Everything done through the app and I was left alone. It was a fun weekend.

We enjoyed hiking along the creek bed, visiting with the horses, and fishing in the river! A nice spot for camping; we pitched our tent in the field overlooking the river. Very friendly hosts and animals. Hope to get back sometime.

Clean quiet and family friendly. Open areas and the river await adventure by all ages. Roving herd of sheep goats, donkey and mini horse add to the whimsy. Steve and his son Bradley are excellent hosts and I will return.

Staying at Sticky Wicket Farms was a great experience in no small part due to the wonderful host Leslie. We opted for the quiche and cinammon rolls and both were homemade, hot and delicious. Having full hook-ups was very convenient. We really enjoyed walking the drive and seeing the animals. Thank you, Leslie!!

7 nights at A Notch Above-RV Riverside Campsite

This was such a peaceful spot — I had the whole place to myself! Communication with the host was quick and easy, and they were very helpful. I’d definitely recommend arriving during the day, as the driveway can be a little tricky to spot at night and it’s fairly steep. Once settled in, we had a wonderful time by the river and enjoyed the gorgeous fall colors. Highly recommend!
