We have it all here at Seminole Springs. We are open for tent camping.First come, First serve. We also have 3 units inside the lodge for the people who need just a step up from glamping, but not quite the whole hotel experience. These are beautiful comfortable rooms with half baths in the rooms. The showers are located in the lodge bathhouse. WE have the Jungle themed room, the Equestrian themed room and the Honeymoon Suite. Each unit comes equipped with its own hot tub. (To book any of these units, just send us a message and we will reserve it for you. The prices for these units are different than that campsite and glamping site prices.) The Grist Mill is also available for rent too! This is a very romantic, yet rustic getaway equipped with a half bath as well. Very secluded and private overlooking the spring on one side and the water fall on the other. Sit outside on the deck and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and at night the sound of the waterfall will lull you to sleep. The shower is located in the Lodge bathhouse. Just go a little bit further until you see the sign for Camp Seminole Spring. Bring bug spray and sun screen. If you need something, don't worry! There is a Dollar General, a gas station and a small cafe within walking distance. We have 38 acres of camping sites nature trails for hiking and mountain biking. Guests can park right on their site, or they have the option of parking and hiking into the woods to set up their site a bit more remote and off the beaten path. This is rustic camping. We have a bathhouse located at the campsites with showers. The bathhouse at the Great Lodge hereas we do have garbage cans, we prefer that anything you bring into the property, you bring out with you. We allow campfires. Don't be surprised if you see a monkey or two in the trees... The fishing is amazing in these parts, so if you are an angler, come and visit. We have .75 miles of frontage on the Orange Creek. The creek flows into Lake Ocklawaha which just so happens to be one of the best bass fishing lakes in the USA. In fact, ten-pound bass are not uncommon from the Lake Ocklawaha River in the winter. Recently (2020), a 17.2-pound bass was caught there. The combined Ocklawaha and St. Johns drainage basin is possibly the most significant river-estuary waterway of Florida. This water system is of legendary reputation among anglers of largemouth bass who seek 10 pound plus trophy fish. Conveniently located between Ocala and Gainesville in the heart of Orange Springs, Florida, Camp Seminole Spring is perfectly located for the traveler who wants to really connect with nature. It appears to be ‘off the beaten path’, yet it is close enough to civilization so that even the most seasoned camper can make a quick run to store should he or she need something not found in nature. Camp Seminole Spring is mid-way (approx.. 22 miles) between Ocala and Gainesville, Florida, which are two thriving cities in this area of Florida. Ocala, the ‘horse capital of the world’ showcases a brand new multi-billion-dollar equestrian center which draws people from all over the world. This scenic property has an artesian spring which pushes out 1.6 million gallons of water per day rated among the top three percent of water in the world with an 8.4 natural pH. This water fills the pond and then continues on to flow into Orange Creek. Camp Seminole Springs was established in the 1940’s as a honeymoon resort and campground. The founders built a heart-shaped ‘pond-spring’ which is filled with the crystal-clear water pushed out from the spring where guests can lounge by the beach or gaze down into the bottom through the glass-like water or take a refreshing swim. At the top of the hill overlooking the heart-shaped spring, one will find the rustic Great Lodge where guests can come and mingle with each other, enjoy a relaxing conversation and a drink on the veranda or just sit and watch the activity in and around the spring.

Campsites are on a small horse farm located just 4 miles from downtown St Augustine and 5 miles from Vilano Beach. Many hiking and water activities within 30 minutes. You select the space you where you wish to set up camp. The entrance off the dirt road is tricky for large rigs or trailers more than 35' may not have easy access. Our sites offer potable water, a shower, picnic tables, a toilet, wifi, trash disposal, space for campfires, and we are pet friendly! We can accommodate tents, RVs, and trailers. Our guests love staying here: "Camping at Gayle’s property was an amazing experience. We shared the field with 3 other campers but there was still plenty of room between sites. Land is flat and has fire pit spaces and BBQ grills. Outdoor shower was appreciated even though we didn’t use it & it was great to have the port-o-potty on site. The best part was getting to see the animals!"

Grocery store and restaurants nearby. 1 mi from the highway. 15min to Flagler Beach (top surf place in Florida!). A lot of stuff to do around - fishing, canoeing and swimming( ocean is10-15 minutes drive), natural preserves, parks and historic places. Tennis court, pickle ball courts and a play ground (5min walk). Daytona Beach and historic St.Augustine( 20-30 min drive). A little over an hour to Orlando, Jacksonville or Cape Canaveral. We have a water and electricity hook ups. Spaces for the boats are available also. No sewage disposal. There is a dog on the property. Dogs are ok but have to be cleaned after and be on the leash.Please no loud noise after the dark, no drugs or heavy drinking, no loud parties. No slipping in tents allowed.

I stayed 2 nights at La Quinta Bonita and I’ll tell you what. - what a peaceful little retreat with such down-to-earth and easy-going helpful hosts! If only time and life had allowed for a longer stay, I would not have hesitated to extend mine. With the exception of nature’s nightly medley of hoots and howls (which is what this city boy NEEDS on retreats! lol ), the quiet was very refreshing. The little camper is bigger than meets the eye when you enter it. Shower, toilet, all I needed worked well. Running water throughout. Fresh eggs and hand-picked veggies for breakfast was a plus. Best omelet I’ve made in a long time. When I arrived, I was shown around and if I needed help, it was easy to get. I’m very much looking forward to many visits to come.

It was easy to get to the spot. It had electric and water hook ups. Was an easy drive to St. Augustine, Anastasia State Park for the beach, and an easy drive to a bike trail. Very quiet at night. And Steve was a very kind and helpful host.

You will drive in through the open gate at the bottom left and pull through to the top left quadrant where the designated camping is. water hook ups back there and a fire pit. However, the only 30 amp. hook up available is in the middle left just behind the barn.

This RV campsite was just as listed and met all our expectations. The space was private, very clean, and clearly well maintained. There were additional amenities, including a pool, that we didn’t use due to the time of year. The site was spacious enough for our Class A, trailer, and SxS with plenty of room to maneuver. The trailhead at the park was perfect and made getting out and exploring easy. It was peaceful and easy to settle in, and we would absolutely stay here again.

We stayed for one night over New Year’s and had a nice, quiet experience. The views were beautiful, and the tent and surrounding area were really well done. The host was very kind and stopped by with plenty of firewood to help keep us warm, which we really appreciated. The only downside was that the bathroom on our side of the tents wasn’t working, but luckily we were with friends and were able to share theirs. Also, the heaters in both tents didn’t work well enough to warm the space, and it got quite cold inside. I’d recommend bringing your own heater if you’re visiting during colder weather. Overall, the tent and porch are well constructed, and it’s a great spot for a peaceful getaway. I would still recommend it for a short escape.

My family loved our RV camping experience here! Very friendly hosts, great piece of property with trails everywhere! We spent all of our days trail riding and snorkeling in the many options of springs in the area! Come prepared, not much is out there but there’s a cute pizza spot and laundromat down the road and the dollar general had basic kitchen needs. All hook ups worked great with no problems and there was a huge fire pit that we used every night! Even though we were so disconnected and out there, we still had good cell service and our portable internet (att&t) worked great for mapping needs.

Loved camping here! The family is very welcoming, the bathroom is clean, and the outdoor shower stays hot. The view is gorgeous and there's plenty of space between campsites. It is an open pasture so you can be seen by other campers, but hidden from the road. Some of the older reviews stated that they could hear trains all night, but I didn't hear any (I'm a light sleeper). My spouse said he heard it once. There were some gunshots, but that's to be expected with the location. It's also only 20 minutes from downtown St. Augustine which was awesome! We will definitely be booking here again. 😊

My wife and I had a terrific few days at Roxie's camp. The hosts were welcoming and available, if needed... the sites were neat and well maintained... and the area was secluded, yet minutes away from stores, find, gas, and I-95... not that you would know it from the quiet and peaceful campsites.

I loved the horse, pigs, chickens and dogs. Love that it is pet friendly. Nice sunrises and sunsets very private and nice. The only problem is the length of our camper and getting into your spaces. Only improved needed is the driveway needs to be cleaned up so you able to see better getting in and out.

We love Gayle’s place. We stayed here a few years ago as well. It’s very private and mostly quiet. The outdoor shower is a treat. Gayle even offered us firewood. Beautiful place and so convenient to downtown St Augustine.

Where to go

Atlantic Coast

White-sand beaches and some of Florida’s best surf breaks tempt swimmers and surfers to the Atlantic Coast, and St Augustine makes a strategic base camp. Daytona Beach, Flagler Beach, and New Smyrna Beach are all surf hotspots, while campers can head to Tomoka State Park or escape the crowds at a kayak-in campsite at the Canaveral National Seashore.

North Orlando Lakes

Lakes, rivers, and forests sprawl north of Orlando, providing a natural playground within easy reach of the city’s theme parks. Escape to the shady campgrounds of Ocala National Forest, where you can cool off in the natural springs, rent a cabin in the woods, and take your pick of fishing and boating lakes. Nearby, George Lake, and Crescent Lake are equally popular with campers.

Jacksonville and around

A 45-minute drive north of St Augustine, Florida’s most populous city, Jacksonville, is a surprise hit with campers. Sitting pretty at the mouth of the St John’s River, it’s the gateway to three national parks, seven state parks, and 400 parks and gardens. You’ll never be far from a campground, whether you want to go birding at Huguenot Memorial Park, pitch your tent on the beach at Little Talbot Island State Park, or gallop a horse along the beach at Amelia Island State Park.

When to go

St Augustine’s subtropical climate and year-round sunshine allow for beach days right through winter, but the varied seasons mean campers need to come prepared. Visiting in summer? Expect afternoon thunderstorms (this is hurricane season, after all). Winter camping? Pack warm clothes as temperatures drop sharply after sundown. If you have to avoid one season, make it fall. September through November sees the highest rainfall, but the silver lining is low-season prices and fewer crowds.
