Beautiful spot overlooking Lake Weir in The Ocala National Forest.
Watch the otters play and count the many different birds that make this lake their home. Treat yourself sunsets every night as the sun disappears into the water and enjoy the awesome reflection of the moon as it sets on the lake.
(Check the moonrise/moonset tables to see if there is a visible moon during your intended stay - it really is an incredible sight).
We have an amazing outdoor shower, with hot and cold running water, overlooking the lake.
The extra large soaking bathtub is available for your use for $20 per stay if there are not other campers at the time due to us only having one bathroom available. Great for relaxing, bathing kids, or a very romantic evening.
Canoe, stand up paddle board and kayak available for your use at no charge.
You can paddle to nearby Gator Joe's which is an awesome spot on the lake for great food, drinks, and live music.

Many trees on the property makes it tricky for large vehicles to maneuver, therefor we have a limit of 25 feet including tow vehicle.
Dockside site has 15 amp hookup. We do have an adapter to connect to 30 amp hookup. It is closer to the house and bathroom than site 2 and has more shade and easy access to the dock.
Pontoon boat rentals are available down the road.
Being on the lake we do have mosquitos but they are mostly an issue at dusk and dawn for about an hour but we are out in nature so insect encounters of all kinds are to be expected.
If there is a nice breeze, which is often the case, you can enjoy the sunset from the rocker loveseat at the edge of our dock.
We also have citronella torches available for rent.
We also offer a large bundle of firewood for $10.
Campers MUST check in by 10 pm. We recommend arriving during daylight whenever possible.
It is important you understand that our property is not in the wilderness. We are NOT a commercial campground.
We have a couple of acres in a residential area and there are homes near the campsite. That being said, you will have complete privacy at your campsites as the two sites are on opposite ends of the property and you will not see me at all other than when you check in, unless you desire to do so.
Both campsites face the lake however, and you may see some fisherman out there from time to time, but I guarantee you will see much more wildlife than people.
Each site has its own fire pit.
Our guests love this place because of the lake, the incredible sunsets and moonsets over the lake, and all the incredible wildlife we have here, as you can see from the reviews.
Well behaved pets are welcome off leash as long as they are supervised and don't bother other campers. They are not allowed on the porches. Please pick up any mess that is in the path of foot traffic. There is a $20 pet fee per pet per stay. Add it under extras. Pet sitting is available for an additional charge.

We are 20 minutes from world famous Silver Springs, 20 minutes from Ocala Drive-In Movie Theater that usually shows great films for both kids and adults, and 20 minutes from the Santos Trailhead that offers world class biking and hiking paths.
Unfortunately, I cannot do anything about the people that come here that have not read the description, expecting a wilderness campground and choose to leave a negative review based on that but everyone that has read the description has loved it here and many return.

We do have wifi on the property, and we also offer golf cart rentals.

There is world class fishing nearby at the St. John's River and we are right near many beautiful springs - which, if you have never spent time in a natural spring you will absolutely want to check that out! We are a 20 minute drive from the Villages which offers shopping, dining, and activities, as well as 20 minutes to historic Mount Dora which is a beautiful artsy downtown village. Our property is surrounded by the Ocala National Forest which is great for riding trails in a jeep, 4x4, dirt bike or hiking the Florida Trail. We loved our stay in the RV at Joshuas Camp. It was very clean and updated. Good toilet and shower. Don’t expect anything crazy from an RV bathroom, but this one was good and had a configurable water heater for your shower. Many places to sleep, comfortable enough after a long day of paddle boarding. The outdoor area was nice and the grill was remarkably clean. Great spot if you plan to go to Rainbow Springs, we got there at 0745 and were some of the first on the water.

The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Linus, our fur baby, loved the space to run leash free. Our mini-vacation was planned around touring the Marjorie Rawlings homestead and the cottage was a lovely refuge from the thunderstorms to relax and re-read Cross Creek and The Yearling. We were shown around the 7+ acre property, exploring the out buildings, the retro campers, the blueberry patch. We even got 3 freshly laid eggs. The entire adventure was delightful. Jodi

Weekend Trip to Rainbowscape
My friend and I have been doing this yearly camping trip for 20+ years now. Since we're older now, we like sleeping in RVs and this one was great. Nice spot. Very close to fun/local breakfast places (The Breakfast Station and The Front Porch) and the typical grocery stores for supplies. We love to sit around and talk and catch up so this site was perfect for us. We did make a fire one night and the fire ring is well built.

We loved the cottage. Our son made friends with all the cats. It was the most relaxing Saturday night after a day of tubing the Ichetucknee river. We brought some bacon and had it with fresh eggs. The hosts were great to give us space as military combat family this makes the trip way less stressful. We will be back.

Had the most amazing stay at Little Lulu! The property was easy to find and quick to get to Lulu. It was so cutely set up and had everything we needed. No need to buy/bring cooking supplies, she was stocked with everything! Only thing we bought was food and charcoal from the nearby market. Lulu was even stocked with s’mores supplies and lighter fluid! The bed and table were so cozy and provided the perfect ambiance. We used the stove for breakfast, cooking eggs straight from the farm! My favorite part were the two little kitties that kept us company. Spent the next day hiking in Salt Springs. 10/10 would return!

Lovely little quiet farm with sweet animals and receptive host! The camper was cozy with two people and my large dog, but we didn’t spend too much time in it so it suited our needs perfectly fine. Warm shower, cold fridge and a beautiful sunrise. Close to springs and Dunnellon. Will miss Loki, the sweetest little baby goat! Would definitely recommend! :)

I've stayed at Golden Oaks Farm on Hipcamp several times, and it never disappoints. The owners are incredibly welcoming and make you feel right at home. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and exceptionally well maintained. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind. I always enjoy my stays here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic getaway.
One thing to keep in mind: if you have T-Mobile, you likely won't have cell service here. I'm not sure about other carriers, so it's something to check if staying connected is important to you. For me, it was actually a nice opportunity to unplug and enjoy the peaceful surroundings!

Reserved site 4 but Host said site 8 was more suitable for our 33’ travel trailer and it was! Very level and well kept. Pool was great! Perfect temperature and clean. Very clear pool rules posted on multiple signs. Very clean pool area. Small open air amenity center with pool table, foosball table, board games, seating and TV. Two public fire pits as well and individual rings at campsites. Host wa son site and accessible. WiFi strong. Will definitely visit again soon!

My son and I had a great time staying in Little Lulu! Such a luxury to have AC and running water. Perfect place to stay for a summertime visit to the springs. We'll definitely be back!

I had the most amazing glamping experience! It was the perfect peaceful getaway to slow down, unplug, and enjoy nature. My favorite evenings were spent sitting by the fire making s’mores and looking up at the incredible star-filled sky.
I loved being able to pick fresh blueberries, gather eggs from the chickens, and harvest green beans, squash, and radishes straight from the garden. Cooking a meal with fresh ingredients from the property made the experience feel even more special and unique.
The location was also great; there are beautiful springs just 20 minutes away, making it easy to spend part of the day exploring. One of the biggest highlights for me was being able to bring my dog along. We both had the best time enjoying the peaceful surroundings and open space.
If you're looking for a relaxing nature escape with thoughtful touches, fresh farm experiences, and a chance to truly unwind, I highly recommend staying here. I left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to my next visit! 🌿✨🐕🔥🍓🌌
