Camp Declan is a rare find: a private, breezy, six-acre lakefront retreat that feels like stepping into classic “Old Florida,” where the air is clean, the nights are quiet, and nature is always part of the experience. Set under a canopy of Live Oak trees draped with Spanish moss and stretching along nearly 600 feet of freshwater shoreline, this is a place where mornings start with birdsong, afternoons drift by on the dock, and evenings end around the fire pit under open skies. Fish, paddle, swim, grill, relax — or do nothing at all while napping in one of several hammocks. The lake and floating dock are always the centerpiece of life here. The property includes three thoughtfully designed buildings: Cabin – comfortable air-conditioned sleeping quarters with private bathroom Bunkhouse – group-friendly lodging (six adult-sized bunkbed sets) with bathroom Cabana – the social hub with outdoor bar, kitchen, commercial ice machine and hangout space Together, Camp Declan comfortably hosts up to 18 overnight guests and is ideal for families, youth retreats, reunions, fishing buddies, retreat weekends, and anyone seeking a down-to-earth, unplugged getaway with real space to spread out. Great time with excellent host

With kids

We throughly enjoyed our time. The canoes, kayaks and bunk house for the kids were great. Had a slight issue with the water, but the host got it fixed immediately. If you are looking for a spotless 5 stay luxury camping destination, this is not for you but has all the amenities you need. We hope to stay again.

Great Weekend Camp Getaway

Great spot for a group camp. We had an awesome fire, lakeside chats, BBQ dinners & camp night games. Anything we needed for a great weekend was already there. Just added friends!

I’ve been here numerous times. Extremely relaxing. Kids loves it like they do every time we come. Plenty of room to run and play. Stayed outside almost the entire time. Dogs loved it too. I’m sure I’ll be back.

Perfect for a group of Young Men

Group trip

This was a phenomenal property. Absolutely perfect for our plans. We brought a ground of Young Men ages 14-17 here for a few days and they had such an incredible experience. There was something for everyone and I would highly recommend the property to anyone. I may be trying to organize another stay here specifically because of how great it was for our needs. Additionally, Declan was very responsive to our questions and requests. Top notch!

serenity on the water

We were a group of 18, 8 adults and 10 kids and had THE BEST TIME. The kids could roam, fish, play in the dirt, just be kids. No Tv’s no screens, just nature! Highly recommend for anyone who wants a “camping” experience without actually camping! The owner was very attentive and answered any questions promptly. We believe he was on the property (in an RV far from the house) but never saw nor heard from him…but found safety in him knowing the neighbors/neighborhood, etc. We are already planning our next trip!

Such a beautiful and peaceful place. The main cabin and bunkhouse were so cozy. We hung out at the outdoor kitchen area a lot, so many thoughtful things included. All of the dogs loved it too. Would definitely come back.

Awesome Stay.

Group trip

This is an amazing place. It had everything we were expecting and so much more. Had fun canoeing, fishing, and just spending time with each other. We are already starting to plan for the next time we can go there. Arrival was easy. All my questions were answered in a timely manner. You won’t find a better place for a small group of men.

Great place to disconnect!

Loved our stay, it was a great disconnect from the city and amazing to watch the kids get back to nature. House needs a little TLC but that’s to be expected in the country but we had so much fun fishing, kayaking, playing volleyball and hanging out by the fire at night. Best part was that the kids were outside all day away from their phones enjoying the activities. Would definitely recommend for a family or group outing.

Loved Camp Declan! Lots of activities to do. Great kitchen and outdoor smoker. We caught and released about a dozen bass in the two days we were there. First time bass fishing. We will be back!

Did I mention it was Great?

Great spot for a group. Celebrated with 14 people. Outdoor kitchen was great. Main house and bunk house were great. Owner was super helpful and responsive. The lake is right there. Caught catfish and bass right off the dock with minnows from a bait shop 5 minutes away. It was great!

Camp Declan was a fabulous place for our family get together. There was so much to do. My family loved sitting by the fire and playing in the lake. The house and bunkhouse were comfortable, but there was also plenty of room to pitch a tent for people that wanted more privacy. The ice maker was especially helpful for keeping our ice chests full. Declan has really thought of everything!

Beautiful lakeside property with large oaks, hammocks, and large dock! We had wonderful stay at this well maintained camp, our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. Our favorite area was the outdoor kitchen/bar and patio area that is fully equipped with an ice machine, plenty of seating, and even a giant fan to keep the bugs away!
