The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

This area was inhabited by indians many years ago and the remnants of their civilization are scattered about in the rivers and land. Many Springs are located close by where you can swim and scuba dive. There is a Canoe Outpost close by that offers drop off and pick up with canoes. Property has many trees, cement benches around a firepit, picnic table, a large extra work table for cooking. Bring your RV, Tent, Van, Hammock or whatever you are comfortable in. Unwind, relax and enjoy the sounds and beauty of nature. I supply a map of the River and the surrounding area to help you make the most of your experience. If you need help with things I am close by. There is soo much history about the Suwannee River in North Florida! :D It is known that Indians once traveled along these banks and proof has been found from many Arrow Heads and other artifacts being found along the Suwannee River. There are many Springs along the over 240 miles of River as it empties into the Gulf of Mexico. The Suwannee River begins it's journey in the Okefenokee Swamp in South Georgia. This is also where the Suwannee River gets it's tannic color from the decaying vegetation in the swamp. More about the Suwannee River can be found at: MySuwanneeRiver.com

A pet friendly, off leash, dark skies 6 acre slice of paradise in North Florida on the banks of the Suwannee River. In 1990 the State of Florida banned logging within 1,000 feet of the Suwannee River so Southeast Timberlands sold off it's holdings and we were lucky enough to purchase 6 acres and 444 feet of riverfront. A designated "Pristine Scenic Waterway" with very steep banks, the Suwannee is one of the few"wild" rivers left in the United States and can rise over 30 feet to flood stage almost overnight; yet due to its unique topography we can access it no matter how high or low the water. The Forest Service has bought up the surrounding lots, creating a 10 mile Conservation corridor supporting the National Scenic Florida Trail, it's clearly marked footpaths and natural attractions. To that end, we have left the old growth upland forest the way we found it. The campsite is a natural feature as is the Zen deck and canoe launch, a swale draining the ridge. The campsite is level, the lane to the river slopes gently dropping in elevation 20 feet over 1,000 in making it easy for able bodied guests to navigate their way to the white sugar sand beach. We want to share our retreat with those who are looking for a real wilderness experience in an exclusive private setting. A Waiver of Liability is required by all guests as the Wilderness is an inherently dangerous place. We only offer one accommodation per weekend with a maximum of 8 people, because we only have 1 toilet, so our guests can have the seclusion they desire and be free to enjoy the natural wonder of the woodland experience in any manner they choose.

This is the beautiful wild coast of Florida's "Big Bend." Located halfway between Perry to the north and Steinhatchee to the south, Keaton Beach is an outpost town with a laidback, relaxing atmosphere. No motels, no fast food. The wild, natural public beach has a shaded picnic area, restrooms, a boat ramp and a 700-foot fishing pier. These are prime scalloping waters from mid to late summer, and the area is famous for year-round fishing. We recently bought this property with an old hunting cabin owned by a well known baseball coach. The cabin is currently transformed into a residence. We have 4 RV spots available in the front of the property.. Only an 8 minute drive to the sandy swimming beach of Keaton Beach (see pic above) or 20 min walking distance to Adams Sunset Beach. Stop by on your way to South Florida or up north. We do not have a maximum stay.. We have 50/30 and 15 amp sites available. 2 back it, 1 drive in, 1 pull through site. 2 sites are full hook up, 1 site 50 amp electric and water. 1 site 20 amp electric only. If you see "occupied" in the calendar we probably still have sites available. (we have a total of 4) Just contact us using a "free" day. What can you do in our area? Keaton Beach swimming area, fishing, legally ATV riding on miles of dirt roads, golf carts allowed on public streets, nature trails for hiking and bird watching, Hagen Cove Park is one of the darkest spots in Florida for stars watching, dinner at the Nowhere Grill with the famous Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich, a day trip to Tallahassee with the Railroad Square ( 55 min ) Lafayette Blue Springs State Park (40 min ), St. Marks Lighthouse (55 min )

Enjoy Peacefulness on the beautiful historic Suwannee River, fish, canoe, kayak, hike, bike, view wildlife.  The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is within 8 miles of this property and about 7 miles from the Stephen Foster Memorial State Park.

Relax with your feet up by the historic Suwannee River under majestic hickory trees, catch some bass from the dock or along the river bank. Walking distance to Royal Springs and boat ramp. Bring your gear to the Spring Diving capital or go spring hopping in a kayak to the many local springs in the area. Have the site to yourself, or bring your friends as there are 3 full hookups (30 amp) and one electric/water only as well as beautiful spots for tent camping. Just message me and I'll make the additional site(s) available. *Please note: due to 3 hurricanes going over us in just over 1 year, the dock and steps were under water for quite some time. We are working on refreshing them, but in the meantime the upper steps are closed. There is an easy path down so it should not affect your enjoyment of the property.

Looking for your own private campsite convenient to the area's rivers, springs and trails? Escape to Moonlit Avenue - A private treelined driveway leads to the primitive campsite with bathhouse nearby where the deer (and sometimes turkeys) have a regular route along with other forest animals and insects; birds abound in the trees. Goats, chickens (including a rooster), dogs and cats are domesticated nearby. Enjoy this private and serene primitive camping area in a forested riverfront neighborhood with a great public boat ramp a short walk away. The campsite is located on the back acre with cleared areas for tents and vehicles. Picnic tables and fire rings are provided. Spring well water access via hose at the campsite or at bathhouse with shower, sink and toilet. Whether you're in need of forest bathing, a dip in real fresh spring water (always around 70F or 21C degrees year round!) or looking to explore by water or land, this is a great location. Just a short walk from the Hollingsworth Boat Ramp which can act as a base from which to enjoy many areas nearby for fresh water swimming, paddling, boating or fishing via public parks and private outfitters. Close to Gilchrist Blue Springs and Ichetucknee State Parks, Rum Island Park, and Ginnie Springs Recreation Park. Birds especially love this area and the serenade from the treetops gets better each year with a wide variety of bird songs. Owls reside nearby and bats have also been known to fly in the sundowning sky! Make sure to bring a blanket for sitting around the campfire and stargazing if temps get into the 60s or below overnight.
