This was a great experience for my boyfriend and I. As a nurse i prioritize peace and self care off the clock.....this property was definitely peaceful in a surrounding of nature that influences self care. Dawns land was full of greenery, she organized rental spaces to prioritize privacy. Our rental space was clean and organized. Easily to become a romantic setting for any couple. Bathroom was very clean and cute! Dawn herself was a welcoming and down to earth personality, which is refreshing. So detailed with around the area activities and food. We did not get to use the hot tub (we forgot about it) but I can garentee that would've been just as impressive. I plan to rent again! Thanks Dawn!!!!♡

Absolutely LOVED my six day stay at Touch of Heaven! Crystal and her family have done an amazing job with their beautiful, little homestead. My Dog, Sweetie, and I loved visiting the goats, Pigs (who had 4 piglets), chickens and Guinea fowl. What beauty and peace! I plan to come back in the Fall or Winter. FYI. The little RV was so clean and comfy, too.

This is a very peaceful place to visit! Crystal is very welcoming, I was allowed to pet the baby goat that she brought with her to say hi :)) The camper is very cozy, surrounded by chickens, guinea fowl, by goats and pigs. You can have a campfire in the vicinity or to use the little grill that's available to use. There is a large tree by the camper and a picnic table underneath it where you can hide from the Florida sun. If you need to get away from civilization for a bit, this is the place to be! :-)

Dawn and her family have created an oasis that will rejuvenate and renew your spirit. The gardens are radiant, the tent and restroom was tastefully decorated and all the amenities of a hotel are available - the towels were so soft and the bed was so comfortable! Best part is the hospitality offered by the host who made you feel very welcomed. I will be coming back as my get away retreat.

Cute, clean, comfy little camper overlooking a small pasture of goats. Host is very friendly and offers a few meals, treats and farm products for purchase and a pamphlet of activities in the area. I thought that was a nice extra touch to the stay. Overall it was nice relaxing lodging for my wife's birthday weekend kayaking Rainbow River together.

I chose this place because of all the amazing reviews, and I’m happy to say they were spot on! Crystal was incredibly welcoming and sweet upon our arrival, she provided a helpful guide with local places to visit as well as a list of farm fresh products available to purchase. The trailer was super clean, and thoughtfully prepared ensuring a comfortable overnight stay. While we didn’t have much time to fully experience all the farm had to offer we truly appreciated the peaceful setting and outstanding hospitality. You’ll love this farm, if you’re thinking about staying here do it! You won’t be disappointed.

Weekend Trip to Touch of Heaven Camper

The camper is extremely conveniently located in Dunnellon. It’s not far from Blue Run, KP Hole and Rainbow Springs State Park. It is also less than 10 minutes from Ross Prairie State Forest if you’re looking for some good hiking on the Florida Trail. I arrived too late to visit the farm (I really wanted to see the animals), but Crystal and I spoke over the phone and she texted me instructions and photos of how to find and enter the property. She was a very helpful and accommodating host. I only stayed one night since I was in town to hike, but the property was spacious and quiet. It offered a beautiful view of the night sky and stars. The camper was plenty comfortable for a single adult and would still be great for two. I think a family would want something bigger since the two bunk beds have a maximum of 100lbs each.

Had a lovely experience at the touch of heaven tv! I went for a solo trip to see the manatees and it was a very peaceful home base. Fantastic host with a lot of support for someone who hadn’t stayed in an RV before. Towels provided with lots of available add ons and very cute goats outside! I would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed staying at Crystal’s place. The camper was a nice size, felt very private, in a quiet area and clean. Cooking utensils and pots and pans are provided. She also provided great info on the World Equestrian Center and the springs in the area. We would definitely stay again.

I love to camp but when you drive a long way I enjoy glamping a bit more. This was the perfect place to stay for a few nights. We got to hold their baby goat which was absolutely precious and super sweet. She had many tasty add ones like fresh eggs, goats milk and prepared food options if you didn't feel like cooking. The camper came equipped with cooking utensils, tv,linens and even some instant coffee and creamer. In the evening it was nice watching the goats roam around with a beautiful sunset in the background. Crystal was also very friendly and welcoming while offering plenty of privacy. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Crystal and her sweet family were absolutely wonderful hosts! They were attentive to our needs and even spent time making smores with us while we snuggled the baby goat that was born just one day prior! I highly recommend this space for couples and singles who want a really relaxed, peaceful getaway for a long weekend. PS. If you have the chance to snag one of Crystal's homemade Cuban sandwiches, consider yourself lucky and be sure to get you one! They are DELICIOUS!!

Where to go

Orlando and the Lake Country

Orlando’s theme parks might pull in the crowds, but the city is also surrounded by lakes and forests, affording plenty of options for fishing, paddling, and lakeside camping. Explore the hiking and horseback riding trails around Lake Apopka, cool off swimming and kayaking at Wekiwa Springs State Park, or seek out a tranquil campsite in Seminole State Forest. Further north, Ocala National Forest has 12 developed campgrounds and miles of backcountry camping.

Florida Heartlands

Florida’s rural heartlands stretch north and west of Lake Okeechobee, the state’s largest freshwater lake. This is the spot to escape the crowds, whether parking your RV on a farmland Hipcamp, hiking and paddling the wetlands of Lake Kissimmee State Park, or fishing for bass on Lake Placid.

Atlantic Coast

Just a 40-minute drive from Orlando, the Canaveral National Seashore has some of the best backcountry camping along the Atlantic Coast, where you can boat or kayak to remote islands and pitch your tent right on the beach. Further north, there are plenty of RV parks and campgrounds between New Smyrna Beach, Daytona Beach, and Palm Coast, with easy access to the beaches, dunes, and lagoons.

Gulf Coast

Urban campers have plenty of options around Tampa, the gateway to Central Florida’s Gulf Coast. Pitch your tent by white-sand beaches at Fort de Soto Park or Cayo Costa State Park, go fishing and hiking at Little Manatee River State Park, or enjoy some of Florida’s only whitewater rafting at Hillsborough River State Park.
