Our dream has always been to create a place where people can unplug, unwind, and reconnect—with nature, with themselves, and with the simple joys of farm life. Spread across 10 acres and surrounded by over 100 acres of serene cattle pastures, Matos Farm is a sanctuary for anyone looking to breathe fresh air, gaze at uninterrupted sunsets, and find peace in the natural rhythm of rural living. Here, you’ll wake up to the soft clucking of chickens and fall asleep to the gentle hoots of owls. It's the kind of place where you can slow down, start a morning with a warm cup of coffee by the firepit, and end your day watching the sun dip below a horizon lined with grazing cows. Whether you're lighting a bonfire under the stars, wandering through our 4-acre woods with your kids, or bottle-feeding our sweet Jersey calves, every moment invites you to experience life more simply—and more fully. Even though we’re tucked away in the countryside, convenience is just around the corner. We’re only 6 minutes from a 7eleven, Publix, CVS pharmacy, Macdonald's, coffewhops and restaurants. Plus, we have quick and easy golf cart access to The Villages, making it the perfect base for families who want to stay close to visiting grandparents while still enjoying an adventurous and rustic stay. At Matos Farm, it’s not just about the animals or the land—it’s about the feeling. It’s the calm you find when your feet touch the dirt, the laughter shared around a fire, and the joy of watching your children run wild through the woods, their imaginations leading the way. 🌿 Site Description Welcome to our spacious agricultural parcel—an ideal retreat for those looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. Guests have access to a generous open space within the designated camping area and are free to set up their tent wherever feels most comfortable. You’ll find a fire pit and grill available for your use from sunrise to sunset, perfect for outdoor meals or cozy evenings by the fire. As part of your stay, you may enjoy watching our livestock grazing nearby, especially when they head out to pasture close to the campsite. While guests—especially families—are welcome to inquire about visiting the animals, please note that interactions depend on their health and schedule. This is a working homestead, and our animals may need rest or medical care at times. For guests looking to enhance their farm experience, we offer the following optional add-ons: We love sharing the beauty and rhythm of homestead life, and we’re happy to make your stay a peaceful and memorable one—whether you come to relax, explore, or learn something new.

Welcome to our Canvas Camp experience—a cozy, semi-glamping stay nestled within our peaceful agricultural homestead. This site features a spacious 19.7 ft x 19.7 ft canvas tent (up to 8–12 guests) already set up for your convenience, offering a simple and comfortable way to enjoy the outdoors without bringing your own gear. This is a designated private campsite area, thoughtfully arranged with a fire pit, grill, and picnic table, perfect for relaxed outdoor meals and quiet evenings under the stars. A nearby bathroom is also available for your use. As part of your stay, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds of our working homestead. You may see our livestock grazing nearby as they move through pasture areas close to the campsite. While guests—especially families—are welcome to inquire about visiting the animals, please note that interactions depend on their health and daily schedule. As a working farm, our animals may occasionally require rest or special care.

Wow. I really loved it here - to the point I can’t wait to come back! You’re in someone’s back yard, but it doesn’t feel like it - nestled between a border of tall trees, pastures, and cows. It’s very private, has outdoor plumbing with a working toilet and shower, and dog friendly. Samuel and his wife are generous and accommodating and made my stay super easy, comfortable, and safe (which was of high importance as a woman camping alone). There’s ample firewood and area to roam, and you’re not too far from places to eat, shop, or get gas - even though it feels like you could be in the middle of nowhere. Everything is less than 7 minutes away! A few tips for first timers: • Make a left onto samuel’s property when you see the brick wall on the right. • Bring your own toilet paper, soap, wet wipes. • Take a walk at sunrise!!

I had a wonderful one-night stay—exactly what I needed to get away and recharge. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. I couldn’t find matches in my supplies, and they graciously provided some, which I really appreciated. Even though it wasn’t far from home, it truly felt like a peaceful escape. The property was quiet, relaxing, and having the space to myself made it even more special. The cows in the adjacent fields were very cute! The toilet/sink/shower setup is perfect for tent camping or a small camper like mine—very convenient and thoughtfully done. I purchased some of their awesome homemade tallow for skincare, and it is very smooth and nourishing! Highly recommend! I will definitely be returning!

Samuel was a very nice young host who responded very quickly to our constant changes of dates. The site was set on the backside of their property away from the road. You’ll enjoy hearing and watching the cows and calves. We did the additional items and they were delicious. Will definitely stay again.

My boyfriend and I had a nice relaxing time on Samuel’s land. It was private. And we loved seeing all the farm animals. Their property is surrounded by other properties with cow pastures. So we had nature on all sides. Were able to see the stars and moon through the trees at night. There is only a fire pit. So you will need to bring everything in and pack everything out. Which is what we prefer! We hammock camped. But there is plenty of room for tents also! Would definitely book again!
