The Barn (Big Red)
We loved camping at the Big red! Really relaxing and a great experience if you want to get away and have some privacy. All the amenities, comfy bed, fridge, couch, Bluetooth speaker, nice seating area by fire and plenty of room.

Don’t stay here. It’s a dump!
The sites are not marked well at all. The host did not reach out to me when I messaged that we had arrived. We picked the site we thought we were supposed to be in and she screamed at me in all caps that we were basically idiots. She said we set up in the staff parking lot but from the looks of the place there was no parking lot. If there was it should have been clearly marked. She was very discriminating against the LGBTQ and disabled community. Once I told her I had a wife and that we were both disabled her attitude towards us immediately changed from polite to irate. She told us we needed to be gone by 6 am. I paid for 3 nights and we were there less than 12 hours. I asked for a refund and she refused and said she was reporting me to Hipcamp. I’ve used Hipcamp since it was a thing and have stayed in some amazing places. This place truly made us feel unwelcome and unsafe. Don’t go here. It’s definitely not worth the money. There was also trash and other yard garbage all over the place.

The Woods
Will be returning!!
If you are a light sleeper, this place might not be for you. It is close to a highway so it can be a bit noisy. However that didn’t bother us. We definitely will stay at this site again! Amy was helpful and responsive. We were able to purchase firewood from them, would definitely recommend that instead of buying from a store. Loved the outdoor shower and they even had shampoo, conditioner and body wash available. We had our own fire pit and space to ourselves. Oh we didn’t realize that the standing tent that was 6 steps away had a toilet in it!

The Barn (Big Red)
Big Red is a great place to stay. It’s quiet, secluded, the AC works great, the loft bed is very comfortable, and there are some very cute and thoughtful details all over the property. The hosts were available for suggestions and questions. I loved making dinner over an open flame (I brought my own cast iron and they have a grill). There are many options of things to do nearby, but just hanging out at the barn was really nice. Thank you both so much for a great 30th birthday weekend!

Big barn review
The stay was great! There were extra blankets, board games, coffee mugs, and other great amenities. All this to say the inside felt very d.i.y. as in the walls and pieces of wood still had the stickers from when they were bought and the wobbly ladder to get into the smaller loft bed was terrifying not to mention it is very small and can only be suitable for a child. The toilet situation was questionable, the bag was not changed prior to our arrival and it had someone else’s feces. If you are coming here in colder months be prepared it is not insulated and the small space heater is not effective unless you are right in front of it.

The Beach House
Amy was a wonderful host and available for questions and Dan was so helpful and making sure the toilet was changed and fresh . Looking forward to seeing how their main house comes along , which will have two more accommodations for guests and a real bathroom . Thanks again
