Hello Campers, We are a 125 acre property that has 36 holes of championship disc golf. The North Oconee River runs through our property as well as three ponds throughout. We have plenty of room to pitch your tents. It really depends on how far you would like to be from the bathhouse. We are 6 miles from Lake Lanier and the Chattahooce River, and a short drive to hiking/mountain biking trail heads. We have a wonderful bathhouse with restrooms, showers and laundry just a very short walk from our sites (maintained by the staff at the park). We're also pet-friendly and love our furry campers! Just add the pet fee for each pet in the extras section at check out or send us an email letting us know ahead of time and we will get that added. We just ask that you do not leave your pet alone in the tents at any time unless properly crated. You are financially responsible for any damage that is done to our accommodations by your pets.

One room, tiny cabin, 10‘ x 16‘ ( it's small) with bathroom , kitchenette , shower, space heater and air conditioning twin bed all in one room it's perfect for one person but it sleeps two with two twin beds one rolls out. Complementary coffee , hot tea, and water. There is a microwave and a mini fridge. It is in the woods by a stream and it is right beside my house where I live. Parking is about 150 feet walk down a small hill and a few stone steps. It is not handicap accessible. 3 miles to grocery and or Target/Walmart. The Chattahoochee river old Settles Bridge is 1/2 of a mile past my driveway trout fishing and kayak if you have one. I have a medium bike you can use.

We had such a great stay! Gary truly went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. You can tell how much thought he has put into the property — we loved all the little details throughout, from the cute mushrooms to the fun signs along the way. They made the whole place feel extra special and charming. Our kids, ages 4 and 7, absolutely loved the tire swing and had the best time exploring the hiking trail. We also really loved how private the property is. Having the entire camping area to ourselves, without other campers around, made it feel like our own little getaway in the woods. Such a fun and unique experience for our family. Thank you, Gary, for being such a thoughtful and welcoming host!

Weekend Trip to Lula Disc House

Lula Disc House was great. This was our first experience with Timberline Glamping, and we will be doing this a lot more. The host, Corbin, was really good. We made arrangements well ahead of time, and he responded to online inquiries in a reasonable amount of time. The camping is co-located with an active disc golf course and nearby to the Carter State Park, perhaps the only state park on Lake Lanier. Check in was great. We got in when the club house was closed, but instructions for checking in were posted and easy to follow. We got text response and some good tips within a few minutes and we were already at our site which was clean and obviously well prepped for our stay. We cooked meals on site, and we had our two pugs with us. We enjoyed nice walks in the wooded camping area. Everyone had some great family time as our two adult children joined us. In addition to visiting the state park, we visited a winery a short drive away near Mount Yonah. The sites we saw were amazing. I think it was unusually hot for Labor Day, so having the A/C in the tent was sweet. Got some great sleep! So we saw some folks including several kind disc golfers, but by and large we just enjoyed some peaceful family time.

Weekend Trip to Kennedy Creek Resort and Campground

The view was spectacular. The pictures don’t give it justice. The cabin I was in had a map of the area, Ga and Tn. It was just the right size for my dogs and I and the bed was very comfortable. I believe it was a tin roof and it rained that night. The sound was beautiful to me, not so good to my dog. The people were extra friendly. I felt very secure. I received a flash flood warning and was very concerned but heard the cart driving by ever so often. I had my dogs with me and I believe the camp dog came and took my dog on a walk😂😂. It was the cutest thing. I purchased so many mosquito items and never had to use them. I had to leave earlier than I wanted because my dog was so stressed and he is an elder dog. One last thing I don’t know what the heck I was thinking but driving up the mountain was extra scary for me. I was panicked about having to drive down. Guess what? There is a service for that. I wish I had known before coming. It’s called Stat Ride. I absolutely loved everything about this resort.

Weekend Trip to Herzen Platz (a place in the Heart)

I can’t recommend Mr. Gary’s site enough! My boyfriend and I had such a lovely time, and he was a gracious host. This was our first time glamping (we normally camp primitive), and it felt like absolute luxury. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of seating, and the access to electricity was a huge plus. The sound of the bubbling brook beside the camp was so nice to fall asleep to. The location is great because it is peaceful and secluded, but it’s also 10 minutes away from the Main Street of Helen. It’s an ideal location if you want to enjoy the quiet and relax in nature while still having the option to easily participate in civilization. It rained intermittently during our stay, but it did not affect the fun we had one bit. We stayed cozy and clean, especially with access to a hot shower! We did have to fight the mosquitos a bit due to the humid, rainy weather, which would have been no issue if we hadn’t forgotten to pack bug spray. So just remember to pack your bug spray and you will be all right! And don’t sleep on the breakfast menu and other fun packages the host offers. Breakfast was incredible and definitely made with love. It really added to the experience and made our anniversary trip even more special. We can’t wait to come back again! Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

You can really tell when hosts have put lots of love and attention to detail in a property. The airstream was comfortable and fully stocked with essentials as well as fun touches like books and games. We could hang out on the deck, with its fans and string lights, for hours... it was a quick visit, but it was the perfect place to celebrate our son's 5th birthday morning. I loved the airstream's design elements, the outdoor shower, fire pit, the butterfly bushes, the nearby trail. Thank you so much, David + Nicole.

Our stay with Gary was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcome and at home. Gary is truly one of the kindest, most genuine hosts we’ve ever met. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed while still giving us plenty of privacy to enjoy our getaway. The campsite felt like our own private oasis. The peaceful setting was exactly what we needed to escape and relax. One of our favorite parts was listening to the creek nearby. The sound of the flowing water was so calming and made the whole experience feel even more special. Breakfast was amazing! I had the BLT quiche, and my husband had the camper-style skillet. Both were absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. It was the perfect way to start the day and easily one of the highlights of our stay. Even the outdoor shower exceeded our expectations. The water pressure was fantastic, especially for an outdoor shower, and the temperature was always perfect. It was such a refreshing experience and showed how much thought has gone into making guests comfortable. Every detail reflected the care Gary puts into hosting. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already planning our next visit. We can’t wait to come back in the winter and experience the property in a different season. This is a piece of paradise, with a stream running right by the campsite, all you can hear is the water running by you and setting you up for the ultimate relaxing experience. Gary (the host) has thought of everything you need and has an immediate response if you have any questions or need any help with anything. His two little dogs are great and super welcoming and friendly. The location is super convenient to Helen and surrounding areas and all they have to offer. I highly recommend a visit and stay here if you havent!

Weekend Trip to Iremide Family Farm

This campsite was exactly what we were looking for. Tent camping with upgraded amenities that made it easier with two kids under three. Tent was clean, there were games and outdoor toys available for the kids, the grass was well maintained and we spent our entire weekend barefoot. Air conditioning was available if needed, but we didn’t use it. We were 7 minutes drive from the Georgia renaissance festival. Our entire weekend was magical and our boys’s first time camping and first renn fest was absolutely spectacular.
