Skeenah Campground & Mill is a peaceful, family-owned getaway nestled in the heart of the North Georgia mountains. Our on-site owners, once guests themselves, take pride in creating a clean, welcoming space where visitors feel right at home. Whether you’re camping solo, with family, or as part of a group, you’ll enjoy the charm of our historic mill, shaded tent sites, RV hookups, and the soothing sounds of Skeenah Creek. Beyond the campground, adventure awaits in every direction. Hike to nearby waterfalls like Sea Creek Falls, explore the famous Toccoa River Swinging Bridge, or spend the day fishing and tubing along the Toccoa. Scenic drives such as the Suches Loop—known as “Georgia’s Dragon”—are a favorite for motorcyclists and leaf-peepers alike. In under an hour, you can be exploring Brasstown Bald (Georgia’s highest peak), strolling through Blue Ridge, or sampling local flavors at seasonal festivals like Sorghum in the Mountains and the Georgia Apple Festival. When we arrived it was a very well designed property with each spot a bit of history. But what I thoroughly enjoyed the most was the fish in the stream, and lucky me never being there before, picked 1 of 2 perfect spots just bc I wanted to be by the water. I arrived early enough to watch other campers arrive late and enjoyed a wonderful time by the fire, burning 11 logs over a decent amount of time which cost me $11, I was also given a reason to return at a different time of yr to enjoy a whole different type of Christmas.

We had a wonderful night in the campground. The camp host was a delight. She was very informative, helpful, and accommodating. The facilities were all nice & clean. We loved watching the fish in the river by our campsite.
