Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the lagoon, building a home and forging a life in a new location.
But Shiloh is now lost, removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future.
However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families.
As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch.
You are welcome to stay on the property while you explore the local communities of New Smyrna and Titusville, relax at beautiful Canaveral National Seashore, attend races in Daytona, visit amusement parks in Orlando... or whatever! It’s up to you. We are a peaceful, safe location from which you can stage your Florida adventure. Come on by!

Park your van/small RV, pitch your tent, or stay in the Glamping Greenhouse on our rural homestead conveniently located 1000 ft off of US Hwy 1. The nearest I-95 exit is just 3 miles away. Watch rocket launches, visit nearby beaches, attend NASCAR races, see local communities, relax at Canaveral National Seashore, birdwatch at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, fish Mosquito Lagoon, or visit the amusement parks, we are a safe and quiet location from which to stage your adventures. We have two campsites. Site 1 is a nice level, grassy campsite for tent or RV, complete with a fire ring, picnic table, and (usually) firewood. Site 2 is the Glamping Greenhouse! We aren't fancy, but are clean, secure, and private. You can come and go as you please, and day-trip all over beautiful central Florida!

Fish off the deck or from the yard, zip over to the springs in 10 minutes or head over to the St Johns river for a meal. Lawn games anre under the 5th wheel to use. There is a camp store on site for snacks, bait, drinks, ice, fire wood etc. and there are board games up there that you’re welcome to check out. We are surrounded by conservation land and we have one of the highest populations of bald eagles. We also have friendly squirrels that love to tap on the door for nuts 🥜 in the morning. Turtles, small alligators and a very diverse bird population to name a few are always around. Our internet is Starlink and isn’t the best by any stretch of the imagination, cell service is pretty good though.

My family and I had such a great stay at Teresa’s! She was amazingly kind and welcoming to my eight year old and the whole area was such fun. My daughter loved the rope swing and barn for relaxing and playing games.
We will def come again and bring friends and family. This would be a fantastic place to rent for a small group. We stayed in the trailer but it’s so beautiful and safe that a tent camp would also be great!

3 nights at The Bougainvillea Glamping Tent
We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful property while celebrating our 4-year anniversary. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind, and the hosts were exceptional.
The only thing worth noting is that the property is near a busy road, so the traffic noise can be heard at times. That said, it was not a major issue and was easy to ignore.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it for a romantic getaway.

Weekend Trip to Cabin Glamping
We really enjoyed our stay at Eddie and Colleen’s place! Super nice and accommodating hosts. They were very knowledgeable about the area and all it had to offer. Everything is very convenient. Close to everything, yet very private. The cabin is super cute with all the essentials provide. My husband really LOVED the outside hot shower! If you’re looking for a great glamping experience in the area, this is the place! We’ll definitely be back!

The A-frame was awesome and the perfect glamping spot! It’s tucked away in a private location that gives you the feeling of camping while still having all the comforts you need, including AC, a comfy bed, hot showers, a flushing toilet, a kitchen, and potable water. The location was also perfect for exploring the rivers, springs, and other beautiful natural areas nearby.
DD was so kind and welcoming! We were greeted with fresh eggs and strawberry-infused olive oil made right there on the grove. They also have chickens, ducks, and the cutest rescue dog. All of these special touches made our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again!

This was my first time using HipCamp or any app like it. Or really camping at all. I had a great experience! Teresa was an excellent host and wonderful person! She and her sister made me feel right at home and so comfortable! They went above and beyond for me and I am so grateful for them! The property was beautiful, the camper was super cute and they had everything you could need! 10 out of 10 would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great place to camp in Florida!

My son and I had such a great time in the cabin! Colleen and her mom were wonderful hosts and I would highly recommend a stay at their place. The accommodations were clean, AC made for a very comfortable sleep during the hot summer days. It was the perfect place for a quick drive to Crystal River and the surrounding springs that made for an unforgettable mid-week camping trip. I look forward to staying there again in the future.

Weekend Trip to The Inn At The Forest
Teresa always makes it easy for me to stay. This was my 4th or 5th stay. I had a wedding to attend during the 4th of July weekend. I was driving back and forth each day without knowing in advance when I would get back for the night. I kept "T" informed the best I could. I love her and I love this place.

I enjoyed the option of the cabin as far as the two different rooms the four bunks and then the one right in front because my husband snores and so I had an option to go sleep in one of the lower bounds underneath the kids long so I could get some rest. I appreciate how well they made sure that me and my service animal were welcomed. The individual that helped me out the entire time I was there I can't remember her name but she was pretty cool Nice we had a community party that she ran that had hot dogs and cookies and other things and chips and that was really really nice of them. The pool was clean Love the pool the kids enjoyed it very much.

Weekend Trip to Paradise Lake Rousseau ,Fl
My husband and I stayed here for 4th of July weekend and had a pleasant stay. David greeted us upon arrival. Very beautiful lake to sit by in a swinging chair at the end of the day. After being out and about all day, to come back to a peaceful little rustic cabin is very realxing. Would stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Paradise Lake Rousseau ,Fl
We loved staying in the Old Sportsman Cabin. We pulled up and my initial thought was that it seemed much smaller than I expected. Then, we stepped in and, like the TARDIS it seemed bigger on the inside.
The scenery was beautiful and the sunsets were gorgeous.

1 night at True Trail Farm
We stayed in the Gypsy and loved it. Very comfortable and equipped well. Views from the windows of the Gypsy are like looking at a painting. The hosts, Kathy and her husband, are wonderful. She introduced us to all the very friendly animals. The property is very relaxing and beautiful. Love the hanging trees and all the shade. We sat outside in the evening and watched the animals. In the morning it was fun to watch the baby goats run around and they came up to say hello. Chickens are free roaming and so wonderful. If you love animals you have to stay here. The location had been on our list to try and so glad we did.
