Aframe Cabin Tent nestled in a 4 acre olive orchard. We are a working farm and harvest and mill our olives into high quality, extra virgin olive oil. Free range chickens and ducks and rescue dogs roam the grounds. Cabin tent side opens, queen bed, Wi-fi, heat and AC, TV, electric outlets and fire pit. Kitchenette and bathrooms are separate from the cabin tent. Kitchenette has coffee maker, toaster over/ air fryer, hot plate, pots and pans. Runaway Bay Lodge is the first private property past The Pine Island RV Campground, on the right side of the street.
OUR PROPERTY IS NOT LOCATED IN THE CAMPGROUND.
We have 4 separate units on our property, including 2 cabins and 4 yurts, Each cabin and yurt is set up with only one bed, in each. We are a perfect spot for solo journeyers and couples. Larger groups can rent multiple units. We also host 3rd party retreats for up to 18 total guests.
Not all campsites have water views, from the units, but none are more than 30 feet to the water…
We do allow cannabis smoking on our property, in the common areas outside of the tents and cabins.

The Withlacoochee Trail is a mile east at the end of the road. This is a biking, hiking and equestrian trail. Florida Classic Park is roughly 2 miles north on Lockhart. The Croom Recreational Area is also 3 miles away.
If you are traveling with farm animals, we do have (2) 2-acre cross-fenced paddocks available for an additional fee. We also have a stable available, but that does have a concrete floor with mats. Please reach out to us directly in this regard.

This was my second time in the cabin on this property, and the owners have done a great job cleaning it up and adding amenities. The cabin had no bugs, no mice, the bed was clean and comfortable, even new fluffy pillows! The mini-split keeps the small cabin dry and cool, even when it's hot and muggy outside. The kayaks we rented were in good shape, the docks have been cleaned up, and the property owners have added a nice pole barn for shade and a bunch of picnic tables. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back.

Kimberly place was truly amazing! It is the perfect place to unwind and relax. You won’t worry about the bustling world around you because this location was perfect. Everything we wanted to do was close by. Kimberly truly went above and beyond as a host. To welcoming us upon arriving, to even picking up logs for us to have a fire. Exactly as described! Quiet and peaceful. Mini frig included which is very helpful not having to drag cooler(s) and ice back and forth!!! Bed is comfortable, fell asleep quickly, Did some research online before arriving to find places I wanted to for sure visit. Found some great restaurants in the area. There is a Publix nearby for restocking as needed as well as an outside ATM machine. My Australian Shepherd loved every minute of the trip! He was right at home in the cabin and loved all the new places to hike and explore!!

There was another camp site but nobody there and even though owners are on site, there was plenty of privacy. It was the perfect mix of camping and modern conveniences included. Overall my experience was good! Deirdre is very welcoming and helpful. When I arrived the air conditioner was broke and she immediately had it replaced with a brand new one. The cabins and bathrooms and kitchen are very clean and well stocked with essentials. There is a small fridge though the freezer portion doesn’t keep stuff frozen. It’s only a few minutes from town which is continent though because it’s near the highway there is some traffic noise. Also be prepared for a morning wake up call from the New Guinea hens. There’s someone living in a camper right next to the cabins and bathroom/kitchen area, they were very quiet. Overall I had a nice stay, the accommodations are great, just would have liked a little more peace and solitude.

Weekend Trip to Paradise Lake Rousseau ,Fl
A beautiful property on the water. The cabin itself is quaint but sufficient. Being able to sit on the swing in the morning makes it all worth it. There may be bugs and lizards here and there but you’re probably booking this because you want to be close to nature so deal with it haha
It’s on a beautiful road and not too far out from Rainbow Springs/KP hole to go get on the river. Or of course you can stay on the property and get out on the lake right there!

Weekend Trip to Cabin Glamping
This spot was quick and easy for a camper. The bed was comfy, the outdoor shower was great. The tin roof made the rain loud and lovely. I enjoyed it. Not a fancy place but a kind and welcoming one was what I needed on my first day of the adventure.

8 nights at The Olive Grove
The olive grove is a great glamping spot! As a solo traveler,it had all you needed. Common kitchen area,nice hot showers,flush toilets and fresh eggs! I would recommend the olive grove..

Where to go
Orlando and the Lake Country
Orlando’s theme parks might pull in the crowds, but the city is also surrounded by lakes and forests, affording plenty of options for fishing, paddling, and lakeside camping. Explore the hiking and horseback riding trails around Lake Apopka, cool off swimming and kayaking at Wekiwa Springs State Park, or seek out a tranquil campsite in Seminole State Forest. Further north, Ocala National Forest has 12 developed campgrounds and miles of backcountry camping.
Florida Heartlands
Florida’s rural heartlands stretch north and west of Lake Okeechobee, the state’s largest freshwater lake. This is the spot to escape the crowds, whether parking your RV on a farmland Hipcamp, hiking and paddling the wetlands of Lake Kissimmee State Park, or fishing for bass on Lake Placid.
Atlantic Coast
Just a 40-minute drive from Orlando, the Canaveral National Seashore has some of the best backcountry camping along the Atlantic Coast, where you can boat or kayak to remote islands and pitch your tent right on the beach. Further north, there are plenty of RV parks and campgrounds between New Smyrna Beach, Daytona Beach, and Palm Coast, with easy access to the beaches, dunes, and lagoons.
Gulf Coast
Urban campers have plenty of options around Tampa, the gateway to Central Florida’s Gulf Coast. Pitch your tent by white-sand beaches at Fort de Soto Park or Cayo Costa State Park, go fishing and hiking at Little Manatee River State Park, or enjoy some of Florida’s only whitewater rafting at Hillsborough River State Park.
