The farm has its humble beginnings in the summer of 2015 with four acres, four goats, and four chickens. Founded on the love of animals and a passion for sustainability, we remain committed to compassionate practices and the most natural care of our land and animals as possible. As stewards of the land and herd, we believe we have a responsibility to share nature's blessings. We offer several agritourism opportunities on the farm, from farmstays to day visits. Our primary program is to serve area youth with agricultural education and the opportunities to work with our goats. All proceeds from bookings go toward our programming. Please note that February and March is transition time on the farm when we are planting new pastures and working on projects so photos might be different during those 2 months! It is our goal to create a space where our visitors can have fun and learn about the animals who share that space. We also strive to serve as a valuable resource for first time goat owners. To support that endeavor, we sell specialty cottage goods and natural goat milk products. We also sell raw goat milk (for pet consumption only, as per Florida law - Master Feed License #ZOO406).

My husband and I stayed here for 4th of July weekend and had a pleasant stay. David greeted us upon arrival. Very beautiful lake to sit by in a swinging chair at the end of the day. After being out and about all day, to come back to a peaceful little rustic cabin is very realxing. Would stay here again.

We loved staying in the Old Sportsman Cabin. We pulled up and my initial thought was that it seemed much smaller than I expected. Then, we stepped in and, like the TARDIS it seemed bigger on the inside. The scenery was beautiful and the sunsets were gorgeous.

We have stayed here many times and this was our third visit bring friends. So far everyone we have brought has loved it too! Air conditioned sleeping space and a safe place to have a fire that is more quiet than many state parks we have camped at. The goats are precious and very well taken care of. You can tell she loves them all. Highly recommend!

This is our favorite hip camp in Florida. We bring friends with us and put them up in the cottage because it is swanky rustic! Even our city friends from Atlanta loved it. The bed is super comfy, and it's always clean and welcoming. The farm is snuggled into the forest and you can feel it, it's wonderful. The goats are friendly and know they are loved and you can feel that too. We did learn something new this time: don't wear cut off shorts with strings hanging unless you want even more attention! We highly recommend!

I set up my Starlink for work. The Host provided wifi password, but I had already set up mine.

Weekend Trip to Timakwa Lakeside Campsites

Loved this land! Visited mid-June Summer 2026. Temp maybe 95° in the shade. Quiet and peaceful. WiFi available - ask the host. I work from home and set up my own Starlink (pic) but wifi is available. AC unit strong, an oil space heater is provided. Lights bright enough to see if you need and completely dark when off. Parking close. Bathrooms very clean with linens and soap/shampoo, great pressure and hot water, no ac/heat in bathrooms. I always camp with my own but it’s nice to have the options if you forget. Beds very comfortable and clean. Host provided microwave, mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker, coffee pods, creamer, sugar packets, salt, pepper, toaster, sink, soap, dishes & drainer, paper towels, first aid kit and fire extinguisher. Pans under sink but I didn’t check for cooking appliances. Like I said, I bring my own. Felt very safe and secure. Wildlife we saw were cranes and hawks and maybe a mink, ferret, or something resembling one. We will definitely return. There is a boat ramp. A few people were on the lake but Florida is experiencing a severe drought and the water level is really low everywhere. We saw a couple of boaters who won tags for alligators— to curb population (legal regulation). Beautiful peaceful place. Lighting bright if you need it, dark if you don’t. Ceiling fan inside and two outside. Host communicates very well. I always reach out before booking any HipCamp. I feel it is courteous especially if there are unforeseen circumstances with the booking.

I had the most amazing glamping experience! It was the perfect peaceful getaway to slow down, unplug, and enjoy nature. My favorite evenings were spent sitting by the fire making s’mores and looking up at the incredible star-filled sky. I loved being able to pick fresh blueberries, gather eggs from the chickens, and harvest green beans, squash, and radishes straight from the garden. Cooking a meal with fresh ingredients from the property made the experience feel even more special and unique. The location was also great; there are beautiful springs just 20 minutes away, making it easy to spend part of the day exploring. One of the biggest highlights for me was being able to bring my dog along. We both had the best time enjoying the peaceful surroundings and open space. If you're looking for a relaxing nature escape with thoughtful touches, fresh farm experiences, and a chance to truly unwind, I highly recommend staying here. Great place to retreat and relax!! The cabin had just enough room for the three of us. The amenities were good, although it could use a stronger AC. Also, another bedside lamp could improve the lighting for reading. The goats were a delight, and Toby the protection dog was a real sweetheart. The chickens reminded me of when we had our own. Overall, great place to stay for a getaway.
