The farm has its humble beginnings in the summer of 2015 with four acres, four goats, and four chickens. Founded on the love of animals and a passion for sustainability, we remain committed to compassionate practices and the most natural care of our land and animals as possible.
As stewards of the land and herd, we believe we have a responsibility to share nature's blessings. We offer several agritourism opportunities on the farm, from farmstays to day visits. Our primary program is to serve area youth with agricultural education and the opportunities to work with our goats. All proceeds from bookings go toward our programming.
Please note that February and March is transition time on the farm when we are planting new pastures and working on projects so photos might be different during those 2 months!
It is our goal to create a space where our visitors can have fun and learn about the animals who share that space. We also strive to serve as a valuable resource for first time goat owners. To support that endeavor, we sell specialty cottage goods and natural goat milk products. We also sell raw goat milk (for pet consumption only, as per Florida law - Master Feed License #ZOO406).

We could have stayed at a hotel in Gainesville, but nothing compares to sitting on the porch of Quatermoon under an almost-full moon, sipping wine and chatting with our wonderful hosts. We have been here several times and will be back.

This was our second stay in the two bedroom cabin at shell island fish camp and we loved it again! Restful, relaxing and peaceful! Enjoyed seeing the boats and fishermen and the river! Quick, easy access to Tallahassee for a soccer tournament when the city was too busy! Thanks for a great stay!

Cassandra and Walt were wonderful hosts and have a beautiful set of land that is well maintained for their guests. I stayed in the cabin, which was perfectly curated for a home-y, country feel. The cabin was fully stocked with everything you may need in the kitchen and bathroom, which made packing a breeze! There was a grill, table & chairs, and a fire pit on the outside of the cabin which made a great evening hangout spot. (Firewood provided) They have chickens which you’re welcome to grab eggs from, and a couple adorable kitties running around to try and make friends with. My favorite part of my stay here is how dog friendly they are! I brought my border collie and he had the BEST time being able to roam around and smell things, and the cabin was perfect to leave him in while I was at the local springs kayaking. The property also has several camper and tent sites, which is great to have options but even better that I was able to have several friends book on the same property! I highly recommend this Hipcamp and will definitely be back!

My two children (4yo and 7yo) and I spent three nights at the cottage and we are already thinking when we could go back!!! March weather was fantastic and the property was perfect for us so we had no need to explore anywhere else. The cottage itself had everything I/we needed (in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom) so my stay was stress free. When we first entered, there was music playing inside so it felt like we just returned home from running errands. The dried lavender in the bedroom was also a very nice little detail.
The owners were super friendly and accommodating. My kids connected with their granddaughter and were playing outside all day long. They were allowed to pick fresh eggs from the chicken coop, run around freely and just be kids which I really appreciate. I walked around barefoot, cooked on the grill, we ate outside, we made fire at night and in the mornings I drank coffee on the steps watching butterflies and listening to birds chirping. I feel recharged, kids have new memories and we cannot wait to visit again. Our new happy place - Thank you!

1 night at Goat House Farm
The coop was a perfect little size for a solo traveler. I stayed on a cold night and it was warm and cozy. There’s a little trail close to the coop that goes down the hillside to the lake. The goats were so cute! I walked back for just a little and they were all so funny and friendly. I enjoyed my over night stay and felt very safe but secluded when I wanted to be.

Me and my girlfriend rented this cabin on a spur of the moment weekend getaway. Overall we were very satisfied. It has a twin bed but it's very comfortable and was a cozy little cabin. The biggest complaint I had about the cabin was it had a hay rake hanging over the bed that I hit my head on pretty regularly during our stay. The shower and toilet are outdoors as well as the kitchen area. If you need running water and ac this definitely isn't the place for you but if you want a quite place to recharge for a weekend this is the place for you. Leonard is a quite and nice guy.

Gray farm and lived the goats and their protector Tahoe. A great playmate for our pup Bailey after a long car ride.
The Coop was quaint and quiet. Felt very safe with Tahoe on night duty. We loved our cinnamon sourdough loaf and soap!
Roosters crowed in the morning- not the best at telling time 😊but sweet nevertheless. All the animals were friendly. Got to see several newborn goats!

We had the absolute best time! All of the animals were very friendly and the Coop was adorable and perfect for us. It’s right by where you park your car and right by the bathroom/shower. The A/C works great and the bed and bedding was so comfy that we didn’t want to get up! The common room and fire pit area were gray also. There are barbecue grills to use and places to sit outside as well as a microwave, coffee area, TV with an Xbox and couches to lounge on. The property is right on the lake with plenty of woods to explore. I wished we lived closer so we could volunteer, I really can’t say enough about it and loved this experience so much!

A beautiful property on the water. The cabin itself is quaint but sufficient. Being able to sit on the swing in the morning makes it all worth it. There may be bugs and lizards here and there but you’re probably booking this because you want to be close to nature so deal with it haha
It’s on a beautiful road and not too far out from Rainbow Springs/KP hole to go get on the river. Or of course you can stay on the property and get out on the lake right there!

This place is awesome! We wanted to stay another night, but I had to work. Instead, we headed back to Bradenton and stopped in Cedar Key for a couple of hours.
During our weekend stay at Bowman’s, we rented kayaks and paddle boards with an outfitter called Rum 138 and it was such a beautiful & chill run.
Jesse, the host at Bowman’s was very accommodating and showed us around as soon as we arrived. It’s so beautiful, the kids enjoyed playing in the woods and you can ride bikes in the nature trail around there and just set them free. The sunset colors in the sky are amazing and you’re right along the Santa Fe.
We cooked deliciousness on the Blackstone we brought, but each Campsite has a little grill on the fire pit if you wanted to use that (which we will probably do next time.)
They have Community bikes to use and if you want to bring an old well working bike you don’t use anymore & want to donate to them, I’m sure they’d appreciate that!
We rented one of each of the cabins…, one with kitchen, one glamper, etc. I can’t wait to go back! Plenty of nature, chickens, etc. Jesse is very informative about the area and cool quirky things. Awesome times!! I do have lots of photos. I will add to this later.

We had a great time staying in the old fishing cabin. It was a glimpse into the Florida of decades ago. Right on the water, Spanish moss in the trees, birds flying overhead at sunset. The cabin is as cute as a button. Yes, you will need to bring your own drinking water. But everything else we needed was waiting for us in the cabin.
