Cabins in Florida Panhandle

·

Soak up the sun on the Gulf of Mexico in a cabin rental on the Florida Panhandle. Stay near Pensacola and Choctawhatchee Bay to escape to a beachfront cabin with convenient access to swimming, jet skiing, and paddle boarding. Here, Florida Panhandle vacation rentals typically have a range of amenities, from basics like kitchenettes and queen beds to luxury options like air-conditioning, wifi, firepits, and premium linens. Further inland toward Blackwater River State Forest, Apalachicola National Forest, and Bradwell Bay Wilderness, cabin campers can spot wildlife like alligators, wild boar, and black bears among tall pines and swampy nature trails. Cozy cabins and rustic A-frames in these areas may come with private decks and firepits for roasting marshmallows and enjoying the soft sounds of the natural surroundings. From the beaches to the forests, summers in the Florida Panhandle deliver long days of sunshine; however, relaxing stays during cooler months can be equally pleasant with a Panhandle cabin rental that offers heating and fireplaces to keep warm and toasty.

Glenn Farm

Fort White, FL · 7 sites · Tents, RVs, Lodging
The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

Welcome to Malakai campgrounds different by design 🏕 I purchased this land several years ago after a loss of a child a daughter her named was (little jo) JoLisa Marie Roadcap , it was a life changing moment, teaching me that family and enjoying of life is what it all about... so I want to welcome you here to Malakai for a peaceful and relaxing time, it's even a place that may help you heal from life hardships... At 5:30 just as the Sun comes up it is time for you to go out on to the deck and listen to the birds song 🎵 . As the Sun starts to rise on a new day ✨️ dozens of species of birds from the Great American Bald Eagle , To the endangered woodpecker, The blue herrings, bluebirds(we have mating pair that comes every year) blue jays, mocking birds, doves and several other species and occasionally a couple small black bears like walking through, we want you to have a peaceful and relaxing stay here while you visit everything, here at Garson Point were several species of carnivorous plants grow wild and our beaches have much to offer. It's official -- after 4 years of politics we are officially a park and a preserve.....9 acres of 🚶‍♂️ trails 👣 we are still constructing trails by hand I believe this place has a spiritual strength to people of all nations History of our location Count De Galvez awarded a land grant on Garcon Point to Antonio Garzon following his 1781 Siege of Pensacola in consideration of “his good services rendered as an interpreter to the Indians of Pensacola." The grant was held for 35 years before Maria Garzon, who survived husband Antonio, sold the land they called Garzon’s Point to Joseph (Jose) Bonifay. The land uses were favorable for cattle grazing and turpentining through the 1800s. Many more pioneer families moved into the area and began their own business in the booming industrial opportunities of western Florida. It came to be known as Yellow River Marsh State Buffer Preserve on June 12, 2000, when it was purchased by the state of Florida to protect rare and environmentally sensitive lands, plants and animals. Through generous donations, Preservation 2000 and the Florida Forever Program, more land was added to protect contiguous habitat of the Garcon Ecosystem. Today Yellow River Marsh Preserve State Park provides recreational opportunities for hiking and nature study along the Great Florida Birding Trail among rare and endemic plant species and within one of Florida’s oldest multi-cultural frontiers. The preserve is located in Santa Rosa County on Garcon Point, which separates Escambia Bay from Blackwater Bay. Nearly 20 rare and endangered species of plants 🪴 and animals make their homes along the bay and its wet prairies, dome swamps and flatwoods.

Turtle Whisperer Houseboat

6. Turtle Whisperer Houseboat

Blountstown, FL · 1 site
I am offering short-term rentals of my houseboat this season. It is located on the Apalachicola River, about 1 mile upstream of Neal Landing near Blountstown, and is only accessible by motorboat or paddle vessel. The houseboat is in a fixed location and does not move. It is furnished with two beds, a futon, and a loft for extra sleeping space, and there is a generator for power. This is a primitive camp, not a luxury resort stay. You must bring gasoline for the generator if you want power. The beds have hygienic mattress covers, but you should bring your own sleeping bag and pillow cover. You can relieve yourself at the boat ramp porta-potty (~1 mile away) or in the composting camp toilet out back. You must bring bottled drinking water or a Sawyer filter for river water. There is a propane stove/oven, a charcoal grill, and a fire pit out front if you bring wood or collect it. An outside propane instant hot water heater with a shower head and privacy screen is available if you need to get clean and don’t want to hop in the river. My goal is to offer a unique experience and provide a code to the door for the agreed time frame, not to provide every convenience. I would charge more for each stay if that were the case because it would be a real challenge for me to get to the houseboat and keep it stocked. If you come prepared for a camping trip, you will have a great time; if you come with nothing, you probably will not. This is my first time renting it out, so all the logistics are not fully sorted yet. I’m willing to talk with potential guests to see if we can work something out if additional amenities or comforts are required. This is an awesome camp for a hunting or fishing weekend, with enough room for a few friends to relax and enjoy some beers in the evening. This is not a random cash-grab rental property. This is my personal camp retreat, and I only want to share it with people who will be respectful of it and the river. More photos coming soon.

Kokomo Farms is an Organic rescue farm on approximately 20 acres. We named Kokomo Farms after our two loves. We traveled for years only to discover Kokomo is inside of us all . Our love for unwanted animals from horses, pigs chickens, ducks, dogs, birds (well you get the idea) allows us to care for rescued animals. We offer many different unique stays from our Glamping Netted Hanging Round Bed to a converted Shipping Container made into an Eco Friendly Tiny Home to even a Tiny House Cottage and a treehouse! Soak in our zen garden hot tub . The Zen garden is a peaceful botanical retreat. It's a fun and romantic vibe if you love animals to just relax and breathe! Bring a good book to read on the back porch of the Main house, add your artistic talents to our artwall, lie on our stargazing bed and enjoy our beautiful dark skies, meander thru the greenhouse, or enjoy our weekend community fires, or just Wander around Kokomo's spacious property which includes a beautiful Hammock of 200+ yr old Live Oak trees. Bring carrots to make horse friends. All our animals are retired but love to interact. Rent a Kayak from a local outfitter for the Historic Suwannee River and enjoy North Florida's best natural resources that are very nearby, or just visit our local beautiful springs for a swim or hike! Come enjoy a little of our paradise.

**MARCH HAPPENINGS** The countdown has started for Scallop Season. In case you are wanting to know more about that - go visit our website: www.cabinsonthecorner.com. Fishing continues to be HOT!! Our guests are fishing from some docks at one of the Marinas. They scored two keeper Speckled Sea Trout and two Blue Crabs. We have a Fish Cleaning House where they cleaned their catch. In addition - the Steinhatchee River is full of Trout and Redfish. While we wait for Scallop Season we are still welcoming folks from all over the country. Some are still traveling further south in Florida. Some are heading home (Wyoming, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio). We offer three Amish built log cabins at our RV Campground. Each cabin has a front porch, one bedroom with queen size bed and a set of bunk beds in the living area. Two burner stove top, full size microwave and refrigerator. Full size bathroom with large walk-in shower. Fully furnished with towels and linens as well as dishes, cooking utensils and coffee pot. Smart TV with Dish Network. Wi-Fi is included. The Campground is fenced and gated and we are pet friendly. There is a laundry facility on site for the guests. There is a fire pit if you want to relax. In the summer we have a stock tank pool (opens in April) to cool off after a long day on the water. Steinhatchee is located in Taylor County Florida along the Gulf of America. Inshore and offshore fishing is year-round. Scallop season is June 15 to Labor Day. More than 20 springs are located within 45 minutes of Steinhatchee. Too numerous to count are the Florida Wildlife Management areas that are accessible by car and allow for bird watching and animal siting of deer and wild boar. Steinhatchee River is a kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding experience. The local restaurants/Marinas are within five minutes of the campground. Live music is available at the restaurants.
