Goat House Farm is a 501(c)3 owned micro-farm in a rural area of Tallahassee on the beautiful Lake Talquin. The farm has its humble beginnings in the summer of 2015 with four acres, four goats, and four chickens. Founded on the love of animals and a passion for sustainability, we remain committed to compassionate practices and the most natural care of our land and animals as possible.
As stewards of the land and herd, we believe we have a responsibility to share nature's blessings. We offer several agritourism opportunities on the farm, from farmstays to day visits. Our primary program is to serve area youth with agricultural education and the opportunities to work with our goats. All proceeds from bookings go toward our programming.
It is our goal to create a space where our visitors can have fun and learn about the animals who share that space. We also strive to serve as a valuable resource for first time goat owners. To support that endeavor, we sell chicken eggs, specialty cottage goods, honey, and natural goat milk and honey products. We also sell raw goat milk (for pet consumption only, as per Florida law - Master Feed License #ZOO406).

It's easy to relax at this Canal-front house in Oyster Bay, Florida. We have 4 kayaks and a canoe so you can paddle to the open gulf only 1/4 mile away or just fish off the dock. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Sleeps 8, the 4th bedroom has queen bed. Main bedroom has jacuzzi-tub, dual shower, coffee bar, screened-in porch. Fully stocked Kitchen. Tie your boat right to our dock. Boat ramp 1/4 mi. away. Game room has air hockey, foosball and pingpong. Visit nearby beaches.
PET POLICY: Must message in advance for approval for any pets. There is a standard $100 pet fee per pet. This must be added during the checkout process, at the "Extras" step.

Boat dock in your backyard. Put in at a public boat ramp only 1/4 mile away by canal, then tie up at our dock. House sleeps up to 8 adults. Xfinity internet with high-speed linksys router. Lots of decks space in front and back with lounge chairs. Game room with ping pong, air hockey and foosball, and board games for kids (monopoly, game of life, chutes and ladders, jenga tower) plus decks of cards for poker.
Several beaches in the area, just a short drive. We have beach chairs and umbrella. Bring a boat and tie up at our dock and be in the gulf waters in 2 minutes.
St.marks lighthouse only 20minutes , Panacea marine aquarium only 20minutes, Hike the national forests and explore the area

I loved the rustic cottage, extremely serene. Enjoyed petting the goats and taking walks to the lake. Melissa (the host) was very nice and informative. always a text or call away. Will be coming back!

2 nights at Goat House Farm
The Goat House Farm provided the perfect yet affordable getaway for my partner and I. The farm consisted of friendly goats, adorable chickens, and a dog named Tobi that made us feel right at home. The location of the farm was great, as we were able to go to various springs and state parks during our 2-night stay. The cabin included all the necessities and was comfortable. The host, Melissa, was very sweet and welcoming. It was a short hike to the lake that provided even more beautiful scenery. We quickly made friends with the orange cat that hung out outside the cabin, played fetch with Tobi, kicked our legs up outside, and made the most of our ideal summer evenings on the farm.

Lovely, peaceful place close to nature, the beach, and an enchanting lighthouse that sweeps through the forest overhead. The complex as a whole is beautifully designed and integrated into its surroundings. One of my favorite features was the superior outdoor shower. The lucky bamboo cabin where we stayed is cute and cozy. We hope to be back someday and I’d definitely recommend to others!

This was a nice solo travel experience for me. The Rustic Cottage is very cozy, clean and stocked with almost everything you'd need (i.e. cookware, spices, body wash). Goat yoga was fun and the property is serene. Horseflies were in abundance during the day but that didn't dull the experience.

It’s truly a rural experience. The host was very responsive to all questions, before and during my visit. She even offered to let me come out when the goat kids were being bottle fed. The Coop was clean, decorated just like a chicken coop, and had cold A/C. I added in the morning biscuits option which was a tasty treat as I got on the road.

2 nights at River Rise Cottage On the Aucilla
The cottage was extremely clean and well laid out. Literally right over the water, so the view was beautiful and oh so peaceful. We were really able to unplug. Michael and Audrey have really done a great job creating a welcoming, peaceful, clean and comfortable environment. They are excellent hosts.

This cozy, quiet cabin was the perfect retreat during our 3-day soccer tournament stay. It had everything we needed—comfy beds, a warm shower, and a peaceful setting that made it easy to relax at night. One of the best parts was getting to spend time with the goats—such sweet animals! We even got to see a newborn baby with her mom, which was such a special experience. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend this unique and charming spot!

This was really fun place to stay. I was in the “Little Coop” which was clean, cozy and convenient to the bathhouse. Basically, it is like camping without having to set up your tent! I enjoyed the goat and other animals on the farm. Melissa was a warm and welcoming host.

I was looking for a solo trip to a cozy place to unplug, unwind, and relax. Paula has thought of everything for this camp and the cabin decor was adorable and full of plush textures. December was a little cool for an outdoor shower but not unbearable and for most of the year, it would be perfect. Paula is a warm and caring host who up levels your stay. I will be back.

Weekend Trip to Goat House Farm
I was in town with my adult daughter for a football game. We stayed in the cottage. What a unique and fun place! A perfect rustic getaway if you love animals. The bed was super comfortable and the cottage had every convenience needed. I call it glamping but even better. We paid for biscuits and soap that we did not receive, but in all fairness we were not around much and I did not ask before we had to leave.. I considered it to be a donation to the farm. Roosters start crowing very early in the morning. And goats have a distinct smell. Not bad, just like goat haha. We had read that in other reviews and knew what to expect and did not mind at all (knowing we were staying on a working farm).. This place is not everyone’s cup of tea, but we loved staying here.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself! With a daughter In her third year at FSU I had had enough of college town. And staying At the goat Farm was perfect. Just a Short drive into town, then back to the peace and quiet of nature. I had a nice hike with Toby the farm dog. And we both got a beautiful sunset on the lake. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. And Melissa makes the best cookies ever.!

Paula has found & created a truly beautiful spot. I was lucky to have a few days in Lucky Bamboo and felt my whole nervous system reset nestled in the forest. I loved all the little details, the space felt thoughtful and luxurious at the same time as pared back and simple. The beach is right around the corner for sunset walks, too! Paula was also super responsive, communicative, and lovely to chat with, but gave me my space so that I could feel truly lost in the woods.

We absolutely adored our experience at Michael and Audrey’s guest cottage. We all felt a sense of a home away from home immediately and it only grew stronger . Welcoming hosts, welcoming land and river. The Kayak river ride with our kids and celebrating our son’s 11th birthday made for the best of memories . The fishing is very good. The outdoor kitchen was a delight to work in over the river, and to eat in the screened in porch like sitting at a favorite waterside restaurant. As close to the river as anyone could sleep. We feel like we have new family. Thank you Mike and Audrey. Just be sure to fill up your gas tank ! Such nice country. We will be back.
