The shower is nice and big and the bathroom has its own door to the outside. We are located 3 minutes from Sarasota Bay and 15 minutes from Anna Maria Island! There are over 20 amazing state parks within 35 miles of our location so you can explore your heart out! St. Pete Beach, Clearwater Beach, Pass-a-Grille Beach (and countless more), the Manatee Viewing Center and the Skyway Fishing Pier (longest fishing pier in the world) are about 30-45 mins away! Weekend Trip to Blue Fox Ranch: Lake & Farm Camp
We loved our stay at the Sunset View Camper at Blue Fox Ranch and are already looking forward to returning!
Luiz was friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The ranch is a beautiful property with animals including Bruno the dog, horses, bulls, chickens, and plenty of cows. We even spotted a “swamp puppy” and caught a fish during our stay.
The camper was small but comfortable, with a queen bed, two bunk beds, a fold-out futon, a compact refrigerator, a three-burner stove, dishes, and other essentials. The bathroom was small but functional, and the hot shower was a welcome treat after a day outdoors.
One of our favorite activities was taking the paddle boat out on the water. We spent about an hour exploring, got several bites, and caught a nice small bass. The location is also convenient, with Brighton Bay Casino nearby and plenty of fishing opportunities in the area.
Be sure to bring firewood and supplies for s’mores. The night sky was breathtaking, with countless stars visible in the clear, dark skies. Although there were other campers and tent sites on the property, the ranch still felt peaceful and spacious.
We also recommend bringing apples and carrots for the horses and stopping for supplies before arriving. The nearest Walmart is in Clewiston, about 28 minutes away, though there is a Dollar General just a few minutes down the road.
If you’re looking for glamping, this isn’t it. But if you want a true camping experience surrounded by nature, Blue Fox Ranch

The tiny a-frame was super cool. The bed is a little big for the space but super comfortable. Fridge, microwave, ice maker....all the conveniences of any other vrbo/airBnb, even a grill. The bathroom was super clean and convenient as was the outdoor shower. Way more decoration and landscaping than any other Hipcamp I've been to. Our dog was exhausted from chasing squirrels and running back and forth across the property all weekend.

I loved the A-frame cabin, it was cute and cozy. it had everything you need for a good stay like plates, cups, and ice maker, a roku tv, and a very comfortable bed. The camper was clean, comfy and the perfect size for our family. If there was ever an issue, Beau was very attentive and would address it immediately.
The location of our stay was perfect. It was only a short drive away from beautiful beaches, grocery stores, restaurants and attractions.
This is definitely our go-to spot and won't consider anywhere else when we visiting Florida!
