Our property boasts year round creeks, waterfalls, swimming holes, Madrones, Oaks, Douglas firs and manzanitas. Wild horses roam the land as well as the occasional mountain lion and black bear. On the human end we have an ancient walnut grove as well as many fruit trees two small ponds all in total privacy at the very end of the road. If you're checking the temperatures in Ukiah, please know that due to our elevation of 2,400' we're always 6 to 10 degrees cooler than the valley. It's rarely too hot up here to enjoy the always gorgeous great outdoors!
Stay in one of our private, beautifully furnished platform tents and enjoy the gorgeous mountain views from your own front porch while you breath in the fragrant lavender scented air and settle into the quiet surroundings.
If you're planning on bringing a dog, we're happy to welcome them as well and with 15 fenced acres, it's a slice of Dog Heaven. Just look at the "Extras" section and click on it to add your furry family member to your reservation.
Please note Ranger is the farm cat and if your pup isn't cat friendly, please leave them on leash until everyone's acquainted. Jiffy, a little terrier, is our newest family member who we adopted in mid-June. He's learning the "hosting ropes" but is super sweet.
We're fortunate to have Orr Hot Springs just down the road (you'll need a reservation), as well as a gorgeous protected redwood forest at Montgomery Woods where you can take an unforgettable hike in some of the most majestic redwoods on the west coast. The newly renovated 2 mile trail is a fun and easy hike for everyone.
At night you'll see stars like you've never seen them before. Enjoy them from your tent or with the other guests at the communal gas fire pit near the barn.
We're a working lavender farm; harvesting for culinary use and dried bundles as well as making our own line of essential oils which you can experience by booking one or both of the "Extras" offerings. We're very proud of our oils and know you'll be surprised by how immediately they regulate your nervous system and calm your mind.
You're welcome to participate in whatever we're doing on the farm during your stay, just let us know, we'd love the help! 💜

Welcome to our peaceful, organically farmed vineyard, Duncan Peak Vineyards, conveniently located just off Highway 101 for easy access, yet surrounded by nature’s quiet charm.
Use of Dome: We have a dome located next to the pond, with a table, chairs, air mattress, and couch inside. You’re welcome to use it during your stay. The dome is shared by all campers on the property and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please clean up after yourself and make sure the curtains and zip door are fully closed when you leave.
Our vineyard is entirely free of herbicides and chemical pesticides, so you can relax knowing you're camping in a clean, eco-friendly environment. You'll be staying on a working vineyard where a few full-time residents (both human and animal!) live on site.
Pets are welcome! We have a few friendly resident dogs who roam freely during the day. They may bark when unfamiliar vehicles arrive, but they’re good with both people and other animals. Once they’ve had a chance to get familiar, they settle down quickly and usually go about their day. For everyone’s comfort, they’re brought indoors at night.
Potable water is available on site for your convenience. We kindly ask that all guests remain fully self-contained throughout their stay, meaning you’ll need to use your own toilet and shower facilities. If needed, restrooms are also available at a nearby gas station.
Just a few recommendations for your stay: since you’ll be spending time outdoors in the vineyard, we recommend wearing long pants and closed-toe shoes. It’s also a good idea to use tick and mosquito repellent, sunscreen, and a hat, especially during the warmer parts of the day. Please be mindful of uneven ground, gopher holes, poison oak in undeveloped areas, and wildlife such as deer, snakes, and other animals that are common in rural environments.

Perched high above the surrounding hills, this property is known locally as Robber’s Roost. Legend has it that the infamous stagecoach bandit Black Bart once watched the road from this very hilltop, waiting for the stagecoach to pass below before making his move. Some say he intercepted it after the coach stopped at the old Boomer Shine Mill, perhaps giving the riders a little “liquid courage” before continuing their journey.

We are so delighted to share this spot with you. This is a shared campground with 3 separate spots that are relatively private.
Host will NOT be there when you arrive unless prior arrangement made. This campground is yours to enjoy. The expectation is 'leave it better than before so the next guests may enjoy!
This is camping. BRING YOUR OWN GEAR. Put your own linens and bedding on top of what is already on bed. I can provide linens and bedding for an extra $25 for glamping spots. Beds have pillows on them.
There is wildlife. This includes bears and mountain lions in the area. You will not see either but good to be aware they exist.
This is a safe 'neighborhood'. We do not have problems with thievery. However, always keep your valuables safe IN YOUR CAR.
There is no Power. No WiFi. Cell phone coverage not guaranteed. Depends on your carrier. DOWNLOAD DIRECTIONS AND INFO BEFORE ARRIVING TO SITE.
There is Poison Oak. Stay in the designated areas. If you are susceptible, bring and wash with Tecnu. Or use dish soap and wash. Poison oak is an oil. Most importantly: Don't Touch.
No Fires allowed during Summer months. Be super careful. No candles. Smoke in fire pit area. Grass is a tinderbox. 1 spark can ignite all. There is a hose connected to kitchen.
There is a Pet Fee stay. 1 pet per site allowed unless prior arrangement made. You are responsible to clean up after your pet and to make sure pet is safe and respectful to neighbors. This means you DO NOT leave your pet unattended, and is leashed at all times. If your pet is barking continuously, we ask that you leave. It is not respectful for all other neighbors.
Please bring your own bed for your dogs and clean up after a shedding dog if you are indoors.
We ask that guests clean up your camping spot upon departure to 'make the place better than before' for the next guests.
Butterfly Landing is a sweet landing spot! Birds, butterflies and small wildlife love this spot. The habitat includes many native species of plant life. A pretty knoll that is on the top of a 40 acre property. Views of vineyards, redwood trees, valley floor, and expansive sky. Private, Quiet and beautiful.
A central sunny meadow ties together 3 distinct private areas with a communal kitchen, bath-house, picnic-table sitting area and parking on the side. There is 1 outhouse that has a mailbox system to ensure privacy. (Please read manual on picnic table for instructions)
Kitchen. 2 burner propane stove, and sink with running water (cold). (Good for drinking. Pressure is low) There is basic cooking and dishware. Cleaning supplies. A Trash and Recycle Bin. And a Compost bucket where all food scraps should be disposed of and then covered with wood-chips. Kitchen should stay clean at all times. Please put dishes away in the tote to keep clean and critter free.
Bath-house. Shower with hot water.
1 shared Outhouse. Please use the path that goes to the outhouse (unless you are in the Greenroom) and make sure you put the mailbox red flag up so that others know it is occupied. ((Then don't forget to put it back down!!)
Common sitting area. There are 2 picnic tables, Lots of umbrellas that can be moved wherever, a fire pit/table and lots of seating.
Parking. There are room for 3 vehicles. Parking is to be in designated parking area please.
Sunny meadow and forest shade make this a lovely landing spot to relax and enjoy nature, and a great opportunity to turn off those cell phones!!
Butterfly Landing is about 1/2 mile from HWY 128 that runs through Anderson Valley. This location is the perfect location for it all. Wine tasting in the Valley, Navarro River swimming during the summer months, and the Mendocino coast is nearby.
This is an Honor system camping spot. We ask that you leave your spot 'better than before', as in 'Leaver no Trace'. I rely on everyone to do their part in the communal kitchen to keep clean and free of critters.
SUPER IMPORTANT to put all food scraps in the compost bin. NO food anything in the trash. This is how the bears show up. Please do your part.

My Friend and I wanted time away from the city and staying in the Yurt was great. It was so quiet and peaceful. There were some cute and super friendly cats and it was wonderful bring aurrounded by nature. There were some fun games we were free to use and it was fun exploring the area.

Private and comfortable glamping/camping, pretty awesome to sleep on a king bed in a tent in the woods. As others have mentioned the surrounding area is very steep, just a heads up it's not the easiest hiking spot. But our dog had a blast and the outdoor kitchen was a great touch! There was plenty of water and firewood stocked and available when we arrived, and Kristina was very responsive and helpful even though she was out of town during our stay.

We had a great time with a group of families we rented the whole place with. Some of the highlights were the sauna and outdoor tub, the pond was a hit with all the kids and they caught so many frogs and fish. It kept them occupied the entire time! We also loved gathering in the communal kitchen together morning and night. Overall we had such a fun time exploring the property, finding a swimming hole and being together outdoors.

This was a beautiful property to stay on. I have deep respect for the surrounding area and history of Mendo County so I am thankful a place like this exists modern day. Great place for a weekend retreat away from the world without being too far away from the city area if you need to pick up some supplies or want to go out for food. The host was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. Thank you for such a beautiful place to center and get away from the world for a moment.

Place was right off the road easy access and a nice place to stay over while traveling through. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. A little road noise, but I would consider it minimal. I found the place well mowed and my terrier wandered plenty without getting any ticks, YMMV.

We've been a few times now and it seems like they take great care in upkeep with cleaning, clearing back poison oak, etc. so that your stay always goes smoothly. The little touches like the mugs in the kitchen and electric candles in the tent give it such a homey vibe. Love hearing all the creatures at night! Thanks! We'll be back :)

We pulled into Robbers Roost in the heat of the day, mid July. As soon as we pulled up someone came and greeted us with popsicles (AMAZING !!) He showed us some work in progress for the little one to avoid and pointed us toward the restrooms. Kosmo ... Rooster ... however you know him .. is an authentic road trip character. We loved chopping it up with him and he even dropped off a little nighttime treat (iykyk). I loved this Hipcamp and I will absolutely re-visit Kosmo. Thank You ... your garden is beautiful

Absolutely beautiful space with 360 views! We had it all to ourselves on a Friday night. There’s a great trail to walk your dog and enjoy the sunset + cattle mooing. Hopland is only 10 mins away with adorable cafes and restaurant. This is a perfect stopover.
