The L3 Ranch was founded in 1974 when my grandfather bought the property for his show cows. In 1978, someone gave him a racehorse to pay off a debt. From then on, the property was known for its Quarter horse race horses, with some of the best in the state being born right here. In 2013 he found our he had cancer and handed the ranch down to me, Travis. While he survived the cancer, he's happy in retirement playing cards with his buddies every week and hanging out with his dog.Now the ranch is known for its horse boarding, cattle, and goats. We even hold weddings and events at the lake sometime. My main goal is to bring the ranch in a more in line with sustainable ranching. We had the most amazing time on Jeremy’s property. It’s absolutely beautiful and our campsite was everything we could have asked for. Jeremy was so kind and accommodating when I wanted to change the dates due to weather and was even more welcoming when we arrived. The campsite is just a 15 minute walk down to the lake which is wonderful, we spent the entire day there. Our dog would probably also like to say that he had a great time playing with the puppy all day. Thanks again can’t wait to come back!

I loved the spaciousness. It was a huge grassy lot and I could park in just about any space. I liked the automatic gate, that it had a picnic table, decent looking bathroom and freshwater hose to fill my water tank. One minor problem was there were some bugs flying around in the field that came into my van, so it took some time to chase them out again (I hate bugs.)

My wife, her cousin and our two dogs enjoyed Cole Ranch as a beautiful river side camp ground with nice grassy area to kick back for four nights under unseasonally warm spring weather. Barry and is wife were very welcoming and helpful as all the water toys to enjoy the river were at your disposal along with fishing gear and a nice bbq area by the river to enjoy large gathering if you were so inclined to have a family or friend gathering.

Camping at the Ranch at Cross Road was Great! Easy access to the freeway (perfect for en-route camping); behind a locked gate, so I felt secure; and it cools off nice at night. There are NO shrubs/trees here, so if it is hot, this camp has no shade relief. It also means that there isn't any privacy between sites--however, there is decent space between campsites, which is very much appreciated! I camped on a Sunday night, so there was plenty of space between myself and what few other campers were there. It's my second time here, and I'd do it again! Thanks Matt for letting us stay on your ranch!

For starters, the camp grounds were very big, spaced apart, and also extremely accommodating for my partner, our 3 dogs and I. Everything we needed, especially more supplies that we forgot was extremely close to the camp grounds! Bathroom and shower are were soo nice! We adored the farm/rustic style of it! We will be booking again!

The ranch is a huge property that has plenty of space for multiple groups to camp all at once. The shower and bathroom are amazing… you could call it an outhouse, but really it is a full service bathroom and an incredible shower open to the sky.
Each site has a fire pit and picnic table.
I definitely suggest bringing a pop-up shelter and tarps so you can put your picnic table in the shade.
I suggest is 4 to 6 bundles of wood per night. There is a local business along Tesla Road that sells firewood near Vasco Road.
We stayed four days three nights and there were hawks and we found a snake and a toad, and there were coyotes at night and really that was wonderful.
We had to intended to go hiking at all of the great spots around there, but ended up playing a lot of Dungeons & Dragons, padded weapon, sparring, and guitar/singing around the fire. I promise we really didn’t mean to go hiking!

March 2027 will be our third year in a row camping at Matt’s property, and I could not suggest it more!!

Nouae was very nice and friendly, he had a nice quiet spot for us set up. He gave us some fire wood as well which was nice to sit around and stargaze. It’s a farm set up so has some animals, some will walk around you which is pretty neat. 10/10 would recommend to anyone that’s looking for a quick, safe, and quiet place to stay while on the road.

Great place to spend the night with family. Beautiful night views and sunset views. The road to getting there is a one way lane and very narrow so keep that in mind. It gets very windy also. They have a large tennis court u can play in. The domes are pretty cool and also have some chicken in the back of the hills u can check out. Hot showers and toilet available there’s bbq equipment u can use too.

This ranch is such a gem! The property is absolutely stunning and right now in the Spring all is lush and green and lovely. We were able to book Site 1 and it was super easy to navigate with our trailer and had more than enough space for the two of us and the dog. The owners Debbie and a Kevin were super friendly and made sure to grab us around feeding time so we could meet all of the ranch animals …llamas, goats (and baby goats!!!!!), emu, alpaca, and chickens! You can tell they love their land and their animals and are happy to share that with you…I even got a llama kiss! Highly recommend checking this spot out, we will definitely be back!

Beautiful spot and amazing host! We spent 2 nights at the RV spot at the top area with 2 kids. It was perfect for what we wanted, but if you are looking to do something around the area (visiting Indian Grinding Rock State Park for example) I recommend having a vehicle to move around. Hookups worked great and the view of the sunset up there was amazing. Great place for some peace and quiet time, very recommended! A bit steep to get up to the top spot but it's doable, our 31' Class C 2WD could do it.
