This park gets its rather self-descriptive name from the six beautiful rivers that flow through its borders, but don’t the name fool you. There is a lot more than just rivers to check out here. More than a million rambling acres of forest take you through foggy and mystical redwood landscapes. Further inland, miles of towering Douglas firs, glacial peaks, and hidden pools just wait to be discovered. Of course, the rivers are the main attraction. You can’t go two feet without tripping over a perfect swimming hole. After your dip, there are plenty of warm rocks to lay out on. Oh, and if the natural beauty doesn’t get you: this was the place where they first spotted Bigfoot. Yeah, the original footage that basically made everyone believe in the hairy bi-ped. The campground is remotely located on private property and perfectly located for excursions to the Pacific Ocean, Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, the Smith River National Recreation Area, and the Pacific Coast Ranges and mountain lakes such as the Devil's Punchbowl, Buck Lake, and Raspberry Lake.
Relax and free you mind while camping on 120+ acres of private property under starry skies with almost no light or noise pollution. You are not alone on the mountain as other people live here in the wild. You only have access to the campground and a nearby pond. A locked gate with code access. The road to get there is two and a half miles up the mountain, the first mile is paved and the other mile and a half is gravel. The road is maintained by the county and used daily by others that live and work here. In the surrounding area you can enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, surfing, beachcombing, birdwatching, and countless other outdoor activities. French Hill Trail is a few more miles up the mountain road.
The campsites have picnic tables and fire rings, and campers are provided with 5 gallons of potable water. An outdoor, COLD-water Artesian shower, out in the open mountain air with the wild things and an outhouse with a compost toilet are also provided. Bundles of firewood are available for an extra charge when you book your campsite.
The campsites are set within a deciduous and pine forest at about 1913 feet in elevation. There is a pond on the property, but its purpose is for wildlife habitat ONLY, so water activities are NOT allowed. NO swimming, NO fishing, NO boating, NO trapping, etc. The wild things live here!
The property owner has a dog, three cats, and a menagerie of yard birds such as turkeys, peacocks, guinea hens, chickens, ducks, geese, etc. They do make noise! Kirk has lived off-grid for over twenty years and holds a wealth of information about the Gasquet/Del Norte County area.
Perhaps the most interesting feature of the property is that it has had documented Sasquatch encounters over the past twenty years that have been published in "Tribal Bigfoot" (D. Paulides 2009). Kirk can tell you about his experiences with this and other phenomena on the property.

Terwer RV Park is the kind of place that is getting harder to find. It is simple, peaceful, and full of old-fashioned campground charm. We are not a luxury resort, and we do not try to be. What makes this place special is the open space, the quiet mornings, the scattered trees, the fresh coastal air, and the slower pace that makes you want to sit outside just a little longer.
The Klamath River is just over the levee, only a short walk from camp. It is a beautiful place to fish, swim, explore, or simply sit and enjoy the water. The river is known for salmon and steelhead fishing, and a valid fishing license is required. During peak fishing season, especially in August and September, you may hear early morning activity from guests heading out to the river.
We are located about 4 miles off Highway 101, close enough to be convenient but far enough away to feel tucked away from the rush. Wildlife is common in the area, so please secure your food and trash at night.
There is so much to explore nearby. Guests love visiting Redwood National and State Parks, Trees of Mystery, Klamath River Jet Boat Tours, coastal viewpoints, hiking trails, biking routes, and quiet places to wander among the redwoods.
A few things to know before you book:
* Firewood is available on site.
* Cell service can be spotty depending on your carrier. Free Wi-Fi is available and reaches most of the campground.
* Electric vehicle charging is $20 per charge and must be arranged ahead of time. 50 amp service is limited, and guests must provide their own adapters.
* Well-behaved pets are welcome.
* Kids, laughter, bikes, campfires, and simple outdoor fun are always welcome.
* We offer dry camping, 30 amp sites, and 50 amp pull-through sites.
* Late arrivals are okay. If you plan to arrive after 10:00 p.m., please text us before 9:00 p.m. so we can send check-in instructions.

We loved our time here!!! Carolyn and Jose walked out to greet us with fresh eggs from their chickens. Their beautiful horse, chickens, and funny goats were all tame to be around with the kids. They had full hook ups included septic which was a huge plus. Their neighborhood is adorable with a mile bike ride to the beach and Alexandre Family farms (best chocolate milk). Massive greenhouse with all the veggies to look at. Very safe area too! 15 min from the Jedediah Redwoods Park - we did Grove of the Titans and Boy Scout Trail. Unreal!!!! Highly recommend this stop. We stayed in space #4 and it was lovely.

Weekend Trip to Secluded Riverfront Camp: 12 Acres
I loved our time on Kate’s land! They are so generous to share this slice of paradise with others. The water is clear and the swimming holes are so beautiful. The tent with the bed and the warm shower are so convenient. I would advise to bring a small space heater for the tent and also be sure you are someone who is okay with dogs, as there are 3 very rambunctious dogs and 1 very well behaved dog that are free roaming. We would definitely return.

My daughter and I had such a wonderful time at Cedar Bloom! We did some crafting, read some Tarot, and went to a lovely restaurant for dinner at River's Edge. After whicg we swam in the swimming hole in the early, then enjoyed a long, hot shower in their STUNNING shower area (there are also private, enclosed showers.) We finished up with a hot cup of tea at the teahouse, then went to read with the sidewall of our A-frame open to the night!
We would have stayed MULTIPLE nights if I hadnt put this on the last night of our trip!
Lovely gift shop, and an extraordinarily kind and courteous caretaker.
10/10 would stay again - 10/10 would stay multiple evenings!

The campground is beautiful and is close to a lot of the Redwood Forest experiences. We loved the mini-golf course and the walking trail. There is a game from which we didn't check out, and a nice looking playground. Patrick and Maya were kind and we didn't have any issues. We stayed in the Puma. It has two bedrooms, one with a queen and the other was a kids bunk room, could maybe fit 2-3 kids. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed, including a microwave and plates/cups/pots etc. The RV sites were kind of close together but I still felt like I had some privacy.
I would highly recommend this as an option if you are wanting to check out the redwoods. There are cabins, RVs, RV sites, and tent sites available. Decent wifi too!
