Redwood Meadows RV Resort

It was a beautiful stay at redwood meadows RC resort. It was close to northern part of redwoods. The Hiochi market next to the resort has everything you possibly need and had good options. The campsite was easy to find and had all those amenities that makes my stay an easy one.

The tent sites were nice. The RV sites didn’t seem as natural but the site we had (#2) was shaded and grassy. There were some loud frogs in the pond next to us but not too bad. There is a store and cafe walking distance so that was nice too.

Nice Stop Near Jedediah Smith Park

Lovely staff and check in. Very close to Jedediah Smith Park and campground with access to trails. Nicely maintained and space was large for a tent camper. Nice convenience store adjacent and the Diner across the street has amazing breakfasts. Restrooms clean and hot water appreciated.

Overall we had a great experience. The bathrooms were clean, the check in was easy, and the campsite was a nice size. The only downside was that there were A LOT of ticks. On night we found 9+ in our tent and on/in our sleeping bags.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Slept better than most camp grounds. Showers and bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. Tent sites have a communal sink space with an outlet which was so helpful to charge up my things. There was a small mixup with the spot, I was emailed T02 and then arrived and set up there. The host messaged me saying I was on the system for a different spot. They had most slots open anyways so it wasn’t a huge problem. They said either move to T5 or just check in with the front desk. I went to the front desk to try to show them my email saying T02. The lady really wanted me to listen to her before she wanted to listen to me which was a little off but it was a short lived uncomfy interaction and then it was over! I stayed 5 nights and it even poured rain one night and I had no problems. I was tucked under a tree slightly closer to the pond. I will say my loaf of bread molded so fast there so just remember it’s really moist here !! My stuff didn’t dry on cloudy days. The smith river though is just a short walk away on the high end trail across the road. Or an even quicker drive will take you to an amazing amount of areas to access this wonderful area.

We enjoyed staying at this campground. The views around the campground are amazing with all the redwoods. The bathrooms were clean with hot water. Everybody was quiet in the park. Wish we could’ve stayed an extra night..

Campground is conveniently located in immediate vicinity of Jedediah Smith Redwoods, providing one of few camping opportunities with utilities. Crescent City within easy drive and Prairie Creek Redwoods also within 45 minute drive. Campground and restrooms were clean and well kept. Sites had some separation so didn’t feel too packed together. Office staff were very welcoming and friendly and were very helpful in guiding us to local redwood groves. Would definitely return.

The woman at the front desk was very friendly, and even let me check in a little bit early. She gave me clear directions on a map to my camp site. People were friendly, waving and chatting when appropriate, generally had a great time! Facilities are close to the platform tent sites, and power and water both worked well.

Redwood Meadows is located in a beautiful spot. Not overly crowded, clean facilities, and accommodating staff that helped us with an after hours arrival. Delicious diner for breakfast across the street, walking distance. Would love to stay here again!

Quiet area with good hosts and very scenic. What you get here compared to other places is space, trees/nature and proximity to trails and the big redwoods.

Totally acceptable family campground. If you are looking for privacy and shade, go elsewhere. If you are however okay with close proximity and basic amenities, this should work fine. The reason that we have camped here more than once is the proximity to the Smith river and Ocean beaches.

Registered via Hipcamp and the registration stated "30 amp back in". We honestly weren't expecting much. This is a nice little RV park with friendly staff and even friendlier people staying there. A mixed bag of transients and people staying in the park for extended periods everything was clean and orderly. Is located very near the Redwoods. Just Northeast of Crescent City.

It is in a beautiful location, just a 1/4 mile from the Redwoods National & State Park North Visitor Center and only an hour from the Oregon Caves National Monument Visitor Center. We reserved a platform site with power, but were placed at a site with no platform or power. The sites next to. us were occupied by a large group that were exceptionally noisy, intoxicated and loudly discussed adult topics. They parked in our campsite and had several large dogs that ran around off leash. We respectfully asked them to quiet down a bit after 10:00, but it had no impact. Although camps can't predict how their guests will behave, it is their responsibility to enforce quiet hours and any other rules they set - dogs on leashes, maximum cars at site, etc. We decided to leave early and sent a text to the host because we were leaving before the office was open. The host was very responsive, and offered us a new site and refund. We had already packed up and left, so opted to find other accommodations, although we appreciated the host's response.

This was a great spot! Close to the redwood forest & pacific ocean (~20 min). The host gave us great activity recommendations with directions. Right next to gas station (off set from road) so easy access to firewood, gas, and other quick buys.
