All tents include a mini fridge and a stove, ideal for light cooking, intimate fireside storytelling, and warmth during cool days.
We suggest you bring easy-to-prep food, drinks, warm clothes, hiking shoes, and a beanie, as it can get chilly without notice. Your designated parking space is a 6-minute walk from the campsite (downhill on arrival, then back uphill (steep) in the forest), so we recommend traveling light.
Our campsite is nestled within the same property as our charming little farm.
Our goats roam the land all day and may visit you for pets and nuzzles. They are gentle, but please do not feed or let them inside the tent.
Recharge from the day with a hot shower. Grab your fresh towels from your tent and go to your outdoor allocated bathhouses, where you’ll find an indoor shower and well-appointed restrooms. They are nicely lit and stocked with bath products.
A sink area is available for dish clean-up, and a bbq/picnic area.

Meteor showers are the best here! Hiking trails all over the property, hundreds of different wild mushrooms. Bird watching, hearing ravens and hawks right here at our place making for an extra special vibe. We have two very friendly Great Pyrenees, 2 cats, 5 ducks and 10 chickens. Fresh farm eggs available. These animals are all located near the house, and not near the campsites.

A shared composting toilet is available to all campers. A liability waiver must be signed at check-in. Winds can be strong in spring and summer, but sites are placed on the leeward side for protection. Fires are permitted when conditions allow—check with us on arrival.
We’re just 10 minutes from Tomales, 15 from Valley Ford, and 3.5 miles from Dillon Beach. Bring a kayak or canoe and paddle from camp to the Pacific via the Estero.

Outside wood campfires are allowed unless there is a fire ban, propane fire pits are allowed year round. Hot showers are available 15 minutes away with purchase of a day pass and quarters. The Fairy Forest is 4 acres of redwood trees one mile from the magical city of Trinidad, CA. People have been camping in our meadow since the 1950's, and I'm happy to carry on the tradition, by opening it up to you. There was a fire on the property in 1901 which left the burnt out hollow stumps which you'll see by the shower. There's one old growth redwood on the property, behind the glampy tent, but everything else in roughly 120 years old. Every year we try to make your glamping experience better and better. This year, we've added an artisan picnic table, built on site, and some solar lights leading to the shower. Outdoor sink and cook space is next on our list! There used to be two campsites on our property, but we closed down one of them to give guests in the glampy tent exclusive usage of the outdoor shower and porta potty. We are also renting out our cabin this year, which has been our home for the last 3 years.
There's 10 local beaches to explore in the area, great little restaurants and businesses, and countless trails- including Strawberry Rock, which is right down the street from us. We're 19 miles away from Orick, which is the gateway to Fern Canyon (make a reservation in advance) and all the trails with old growth redwoods. And we're 16 miles from Arcata, a vibrant, colorful and creative city that is home to the first farmer's market in California, which is quite the experience if you find yourself here on a Saturday.

One mile away is Harvey Bear County Park, with trails for bikes, horses or walking. We are 5 minutes from the Gilroy Outlets, yet a world away from the hustle and bustle! Come, relax and enjoy nature! Enjoy Gilroy Gardens (seasonally) or go hiking at a nearby State or County Park. Or just relax at the Farm.

This is an animal farm. If you love new animal experiences, this is the place for you! If you are scared of or allergic to cats or dogs, this might not be the place for you! If you can't handle new smells and sounds, this might not be the place for you. You will feed and enjoy the animals; please respect their space, no chasing and no going into their enclosures.

"The Flying Pig" has a queen bed, bunk beds twin size, and a loft with a twin mattress, all bedding included.
You are not just paying for a place to sleep; you are paying for an experience and the enjoyment of our property :-).
We serve a continental breakfast (free) or hot breakfast ($35/cabin) between 8-9am.
(we can accommodate vegetarian and dairy free diets; let us know before you come).
We provide bedding and towels. There is A/C and a plug-in heater in The Flying Pig. Please do not bring additional things to plug in except for chargers for phone/electronic devices.
We are approximately 1 1/2 hours south of San Francisco,
30 min south of San Jose (without traffic).
Gilroy Gardens is 15 min away; Harvey Bear County park is 1 mile away; Monterey and Santa Cruz and the Pinnacles National Park are approximately 1 hour away.
We recommend bringing dinner or eating before arrival to maximize your evening.

DISCLAIMER: This is quite different from staying in an ordinary hotel. We are really in NATURE here - these are older cottages hand-built by artists in the forest. They are very rustic! It's like living in a mountain village, with other cottages nearby. While we work very hard to keep our places pristine and spotless - if anyone in your group will faint if they see a bug or lizard or little frog inside - then this probably isn't the place for you. Please be very careful booking cottages for someone else - like your parents just arriving from another continent - they might prefer something more conventional.
Some folks describe our places as a luxurious form of camping. We make our cottages very comfortable - they have all the basics - electricity - wifi - most have kitchens, bath or shower and comfy clean beds. But they are not like a hotel with perfect walls and a sterile atmosphere. Please look at all the pictures and read all the reviews. We can't offer refunds just because we don't meet the standards of a normal hotel. Most people are charmed by this idyllic and bohemian lifestyle - but it's not for everyone.

Our goats roam the land all day and may visit you for pets and nuzzles. They are gentle, but please do not feed or let them inside the tent.

Bird watching, hearing ravens and hawks right here at our place making for an extra special vibe. We have two very friendly Great Pyrenees, 2 cats, 5 ducks and 10 chickens. Fresh farm eggs available. These animals are all located near the house, and not near the campsites.

We’re just 10 minutes from Tomales, 15 from Valley Ford, and 3.5 miles from Dillon Beach. Bring a kayak or canoe and paddle from camp to the Pacific via the Estero.

The Fairy Forest is 4 acres of redwood trees one mile from the magical city of Trinidad, CA. People have been camping in our meadow since the 1950's, and I'm happy to carry on the tradition, by opening it up to you. There was a fire on the property in 1901 which left the burnt out hollow stumps which you'll see by the shower. There's one old growth redwood on the property, behind the glampy tent, but everything else in roughly 120 years old. Every year we try to make your glamping experience better and better. This year, we've added an artisan picnic table, built on site, and some solar lights leading to the shower. Outdoor sink and cook space is next on our list! There used to be two campsites on our property, but we closed down one of them to give guests in the glampy tent exclusive usage of the outdoor shower and porta potty. We are also renting out our cabin this year, which has been our home for the last 3 years.
There's 10 local beaches to explore in the area, great little restaurants and businesses, and countless trails- including Strawberry Rock, which is right down the street from us. We're 19 miles away from Orick, which is the gateway to Fern Canyon (make a reservation in advance) and all the trails with old growth redwoods. And we're 16 miles from Arcata, a vibrant, colorful and creative city that is home to the first farmer's market in California, which is quite the experience if you find yourself here on a Saturday.

Please be very careful booking cottages for someone else - like your parents just arriving from another continent - they might prefer something more conventional.

Absolutely beautiful spot. Amazing view, all four spots are far enough apart that you forget about any potential neighbors, and your own private Flushing toilet and raindrop shower. The host was very friendly and helpful. Literally everything you need is there. Walk to my cabin was senic with a winding trail made out of rock steps and cut path. I do caution future campers that when packing remember you will need to watch your steps the whole way to the cabin. I recommend backpack coolers and such especially when so much is already provided for you. It took about 10-15 min when carrying items and going slower. My kiddo had a blast exploring with the goats and swing.

We needed a spot to stop overnight on a road trip. The Mushroom cabin was just the right price and size for our overnight trip. The hosts were helpful with directing us. We had a rainy, windy evening during our stay but the tiny bit mighty cabin kept us safe and warm. The little electric heater provided goes a long way.

2 nights at Baby Banana Slug Farm
We had a lovely stay in the sunshine cabin with our pup during a classic winter downpour. A gorgeous way to start the new year. Cabin was clean, cozy, and warmed so well by electric heater. Communal kitchen was everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and convenient with fridge, gas cooktop, and outlet for our rice cooker.
Grounds were very lush. Had great fun looking for slugs, snails, and salamanders. Great stay if you want to adventure out or stay in for contemplation. We will be returning. Much gratitude to our hosts.

We had a wonderful stay at Sana’s campsite. Even with the rain, it was cozy and magical. The decor was thoughtful, and we really appreciated the warm hospitality, especially Roman’s help carrying our things. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

1 night at The Secret Gardens by the Bay
Mother Nature dumped buckets on us the entire time, BUT this spot was built for it! Boathouse was our cozy sanctuary, super comfortable bed, plenty of blankets, and has great lounge space. The covered firepit area and couch space saved us from soaking, and the kitchen had plenty of covered space for cooking.
Bathrooms and showers were clean and worked perfectly!! Only bummer: pizza oven was out of order.
Way too rainy to explore the rest of the property, and hikes but I'd come back when the sun decides to show up :)

1 night at Kings Mountain Camp w/ ocean views
Loved our stay! It was POURING rain and it was still a lovely stay. Everything was very clean and even though we couldn't see the views, we enjoyed being in nature. I 1000000% recommend staying here. If I could change anything, and I'm nitpicking, I would prefer not to have to wash the dishes at the end. It's not the cheapest stay, but worth the visit!
We didn't get to see the goats and animals either as our visit was cancelled due to the dog recently having their puppies. This is part of the reason we booked here so we were a bit bummed, but again, nature was awesome. Thank you for everything!

This place is so great, a perfect birthday getaway!! The details are so well thought out and it felt like we had a ton of privacy, while being close to town still. The hosts thought of everything, down to heated toilet seats which was a nice touch this time of year! Thoughtfully stacked snacks and drinks of all kinds. The eggs were great! Host was very communicative and easy to reach. Even brought me champagne for my birthday! There are a bunch of animals which made it extra fun. Even fish food for the fish in the pond. Just very well put together all around. The tub at sunset was a dream. We will absolutely be back!

Guido’s camp is simply wonderful. It’s a small village on a farm in a paradisiacal place. The lights and the scents. The stars. The sun when you wake up. The sound of the wind. Guido’s kindness, his warm welcome, and the walks with him through the fields. The area where the camp is located, close to beautiful beaches. Everything is perfect, and we will return every time we pass through San Francisco.

This was our first time visiting the secret garden with my kids and wife. It has an amazing view and too many stuff to explore truly it was a secret place and my kids had a lot of fun. Open big kitchen fully equipped, clean washrooms and hot shower, fire pit area is amazing and romantic. Overall great place to visit and spent time we will definitely visit again with friends and families.
How can I forget about friendly and welcoming hosts both husband and wife were amazing. Thanks again for the hospitality:)

Weekend Trip to Dreamy California Coast Airstreams
The location on top of the bluffs overlooking the ocean is breathtaking. We were cozy and warm and had a lovely stay. We enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets and sunrises, sleeping to the sound of the waves and reading by the fire. We had a wonderful time at Sunnyland and were so happy with the site! We loved being able to cozy up next to a fire inside the cabin, and making our coffee & enjoying our meals in the outdoor kitchen space. The back deck to the cabin offers a breathtakingly beautiful view as well. It was such a peaceful experience and Sunny is an excellent host. I highly recommend if you want a getaway close to the coast. Thanks for the perfect holiday! We had such a relaxing time and will definitely be back.

Kim is fantastic! Not only is the room, clean, cozy, and has everything I needed, but Kam is also a wonderful host that provides all of the comforts. My son enjoys the large backyard and animals to feed. Kim is very attentive and asks if you want to participate in the feeding. This is our second time back at the farm, and we already have another trip planned in the summer. This is the perfect getaway to get kids off their screens !

Had a wonderful experience in this peaceful and amazing space, so much so that as soon as I left I was already looking into booking another experience in the future. . Big Sur accommodated exactly the needs I envisioned for my 30th birthday with my closest friends. We all adored the property so much and wish we could have extended. San Francisco Bay Area
