Situated on a private and peaceful non-profit farm on the Gaviota Coast, our campsites provide a unique camping experience for the whole family. The sites feature uninterrupted views of the coast, native chaparral hiking trails, and access to a farm tour (suggested donation of $25/person). Our farm raises animals such as cows, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, and more. We invite you to visit with the animals, hike our trails, and enjoy the natural beauty of our incredible land. Sites are primitive camping on gravel pads along our hiking trails. Approximately a five minute hike from parking. Water and composting toilets are provided.

PLEASE READ: Our campsites are nestled into the landscape of native chaparral shrubs and wild sage. Enjoy the quiet and abundance of wildlife at your disposal. Views are beautiful and uninterrupted with great star gazing at night. Our local beach is a short 15 minute drive from the property where there is access to showers, picnicking, and beach activities. We are also happy to recommend hikes and other activities/restaurants in the area! NO camping gear is included in this rental - please bring all your own equipment or reach out to us to see if we have a rental available. Water jugs of our well water will be provided at the campsite and composting toilets are a short walk away. Composting toilets are #2 only, so please be prepared to use nature for everything else. Paper and hand sanitizer are provided. This site is a 10x10 gravel pad and is situated right off one of our hiking trails, giving easy access to further hiking on our property. This site fits ONE tent and is considered "private" but is still visible and within earshot of the other campsites on the property, please be mindful. A table with two chairs is also provided. Sites are approximately a five minute hike-in/hike-out over uneven ground from parking. Again, you must walk into the campsite - no car camping is available at this time. We provide a cart to make hauling belongings easier. Our property can get unpredictably windy, especially in the spring time, so please be aware and bring appropriate gear! Keep in mind that NO campfires are allowed on the property. Camping stoves that use canned fuel are fine, but no fire that has an ember is allowed - we live in wildfire country! Each site has access to a fire extinguisher in case of emergency. Please keep in mind that we are learning and growing and constantly working to improve your experience as a camper. We appreciate your kindness, respect, and support. Every booking helps us improve facilities and support our nonprofit farm. I the future you can look forward to a new road and parking area for the campsites, additional rentals, a biodynamic orchard and garden, new showers and upgraded toilets, community areas, and more! Great experience, great views, primative-ish. Hosts: Very friendly, accommodating, and communicative upon arrival. Location: Remote location with no service, but beautiful views at the top of the mountain. You have to drive to the main village, meet the hosts, they take you to your camp spot with or without your car. The road to the camp spot requires a semi-off roading car. Absolutely stunning views. Sound travels from the nearby farm animals. Amenities: Compost toilet, table/ chairs, jug of water, pot, fire extinguisher. Camp ground: Relatively small flat areas (12x12’ max) some with gravel and some with dirt surrounded by bushes or rocks. The rocks are gorgeous and eroded by the wind, great place to climb and soak in the views. There is an option for a yurt, and canvas tent. Check in: Host messages at the day and time of check in, make sure to notify host of ETA. Gate code is provided at the time and day of check in. It would be nice if the parking areas were closer, but it’s not too bad. Overall, well worth the stay.

Had a great time! The view is incredible and definitely worth the drive up the mountain :) They have so many awesome farm animals and it was great to talk to Farmer Brian who showed me around, introduced me to the animals (inc bb piglets!!), and sold me some of his delicious product. They are a new non profit helping local girls scout troops, community service site, and field trips to learn about local food systems. Love that! Hope to visit again soon.

The location of this campsite is incredible. Absolutely stunning views, and the host is as helpful and kind as they come. The aspect that made it challenging for us were the incessant flies (we were told they are canyon flies). They were absolutely non-stop buzzing around us from the time the sun came out until the time the sun went down, and we found that incredibly frustrating. Aside from the flies, we don't have any complaints. Communication with the host was very pleasant and easy. One other thing to note - if you want to be able to park closer to the sites, having a mid-size vehicle with good clearance and all wheel drive is very beneficial for navigating tight hairpin turns, and a steep dirt incline.

Such an intimate and private spot. We got lucky that there were empty pads adjacent to our site which allowed us plenty of space for dinner and hanging out. Communication was excellent.

It was such a special treat to camp here! The drive up was so beautiful and the views at the campsite were breathtaking. Amanda was also so sweet and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay. I will definitely be coming back to camp here again!

The views from sacred space were amazing and Amanda was super sweet and welcoming! We purchased some farm goodies to cook while we camped out and Amanda had them ready for us and even thawed them. The sites feel pretty isolated with all of the shrubs and boulders around. With the great views, came some wind. But fortunately for us it was only one night. Worth noting, if you don't have a high clearance vehicle you may need to park near the farm and walk your gear down to your site. It's not a long walk but there is a bit of a hill. Amanda let us borrow a wagon, even though it was literally on it's last leg, it still got the job done. Overall we had a great time and would definitely stay again!

A perfect getaway for relaxation and reflection. Breathtaking views. The silence of being up in the mountains. Stunning stary nights. Amanda is an amazing, welcoming and accommodating host. And they sell delicious meat from their farm!

I stayed here inna tent site with brother on our road trip and it was so beautiful. The views from up there were way better than we could have predicted and the site was perfect for what we needed. Hosts are very friendly and walk you over to make sure you’re sorted!

Sacred Space Campsite
Loved camping at Sacred Space for two nights. It’s quiet and private with breathtaking views. Amanda was super friendly and helpful. It’s located near tons of great stuff: the beach, Santa Barbara, and Solvang. As some have pointed out: there is a little trek from where you park your car to the site. I don’t mention it to dissuade anyone from coming, just beware if you aren’t able bodied or if you have a ton of stuff, you should definitely bring a cart.

Absolutely AMAZING views at this place. Some of the best I have ever seen!! We had perfect weather and no wind! Amanda is the nicest and gave us fantastic recommendations for the area! I know this is in the pics but do be aware the toilet has no door! It does have a great view tho lol. Would not recommend doing the drive up in the dark as it’s pretty windy but totally chill in the day time. We would for sure go back!

We tent camped at Sacred Space on Amanda’s land. It was incredible and felt like a gift to experience the walks, views, ecosystem and agriculture. We drove from Venice and it was easy to get there but felt like another world once we were settled. The sunset and being in nature was the reset we needed and the eggs we brought home were delicious. It all felt very sacred and for them to allow others to experience the beauty of where they live was very touching. We are already making plans on when we can get away again. Thank you Amanda and Nick!

Back for Seconds!

Came back for my second visit this year, the Yurt is amazing. Lots of space, one of the comfiest beds of all time. The sunset and stars were amazing, I wish I could stay for a month just to see the view. Amanda was a great host and I'll be back!

Our time spent at Gaia farm was phenomenal! The views, especially during sunrise and sunset, were spectacular! Amanda was extremely helpful and gracious towards us the entire stay. She was very responsive and went well out of her way to make sure that we were accommodated. I would absolutely go back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique stay along the California coast line!

What an amazing place to camp. The views from the top of the mountain are breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset. The working farm adds such a unique touch I had a great time learning about the animals and even got to hold the baby goats! If you stay here, don’t miss the guided tour of the farm. It made the whole experience unforgettable.

I'm so lucky I found Gaia farms - the location is stunningly beautiful, the accommodations were cozy, Amanda was generous, friendly, kind, and I got to hold a baby goat! It was truly a special experience. I cannot recommend a visit enough and hope for the chance to return. We stayed in the yurt, enjoying privacy, quiet, comfort, and VIEWS! The pictures can't even capture how gorgeous the views were. We watched the sun set pink over the mountains and ocean, saw shooting stars all night, and then the clouds settled below us at dawn. It was perfect. Thank you for sharing this place with us, Amanda. <3

My friends and I agreed that there’s no more beautiful place to play card games and cook Mac and cheese than this yurt! Amanda was the most kind and welcoming host. Don’t miss out on holding a baby goat or buying some goats milk lotion or soap, these additions really made our day! Such a special place, we feel so lucky to have stayed a night here. So worth it!
