Located within 45 minutes of the wine country and 2 miles from the coast, our property is 400 acres of rolling hills and redwood groves, with a creek running along its base. With miles of trails meandering through quiet woods and meadows, you will be able to revel in the tranquility of a private preserve, without sacrificing easy access to some of Sonoma County's most famous attractions. A hundred years ago, this land was used to graze sheep. Remnants of the old fence lines can still be seen in places, along with old cement troughs. Since then, the land has been left to its own devices, passing through many hands, most famously owned by two brothers in the 1980's who built a truly amazing tree house in the forest which has been featured in several magazine articles. It was revamped and updated in 2016 by a master craftsman, using fallen redwood logs found on the property and is now a unique structural work of art, available for overnight stays. We produce 100% grass fed, dry-aged beef on our certified organic pastures and have a store on site if you would like to purchase delicious steaks, ribs, ground beef for hamburgers or some roasts to take home. Our cattle graze on the native grasses, never grain, and drink only water produced from our own springs. We also raise Kiko meat goats and produce pastured, certified organic duck eggs on a commercial basis. Whether it's surfing at sandy beaches, award-winning clam chowder, a wine tour, horseback riding or a hot air balloon ride you're after, you won't have far to drive if you make our ranch your base camp. You may see a family of deer appear suddenly, or a few Scottish Highland cows which we allow to roam freely over the property. There are over twenty species of wild birds that grace this protected spot, so bring your binoculars! A portion of your fee goes towards protecting native flora and fauna as part of our private wildlife preservation program. A limited number of private, widely spaced camp spots are available for visitors. The Eagles' Nest Treehouse (mentioned above) is very isolated and you may or may not even be aware that there are other people within miles of you. For those who value nature, seclusion, quiet and the artistry of old growth redwood, this is the place for you.

Primitive sites are back-to-basics: no hookups, no structures, no potable water. There is non-potable water available for washing—please bring your own drinking water. A shared composting toilet is available to all campers. Winds can be strong in spring and summer, but sites are placed on the leeward side for protection. Fires are permitted when conditions allow—check with us on arrival.
We’re just 10 minutes from Tomales, 15 from Valley Ford, and 3.5 miles from Dillon Beach. Bring a kayak or canoe and paddle from camp to the Pacific via the Estero.
Primitive and RV Sites with sweeping views of West Marin pastureland at True Grass Farms, a working ranch along the Estero San Antonio. Our campsites are well spaced for privacy and quiet, surrounded by birdsong, grazing animals, and the rhythms of ranch life.
Each primitive site overlooks the Estero and is near a mowed grass road for easy access. It’s peaceful here at night—other campers may be nearby, but you’ll feel immersed in nature.

The Heron’s Nest is a cozy trailer tucked under a large willow, just 10 feet from the water. It includes a queen bed, kitchenette, indoor composting toilet, outdoor shower, firepit, and direct Estero access—perfect for two guests.

The River Electric is a camp resort and swim club featuring 40 furnished tents, two pools, a full-service restaurant and cocktail bar, and multiple event spaces. It’s available for daytime visits, overnights, and full event buy outs.
The River Electric is not a traditional campground - we do not allow guests to bring in stoves or outside food. We have a full bar and restaurant, communal fire pit and well-stocked camp store.
Our tented rooms have both king and double bed options with luxury bedding, lounge furnishings, and all the amenities of a boutique hotel. A centrally located bathhouse offers a variety of facilities including indoor and outdoor showers, single stall restrooms, and a dedicated area for getting ready.
Please note our tents share one main pathway and noise travels easily. We do not recommend overnights for families with children who do not sleep through the night or have difficulty adhering to quiet hours as this is disruptive for other guests. Similarly if you are looking for a silent retreat and require an early bedtime we may not be the right fit.
Quiet hours in the campground are 10pm-7am.
The River Electric offers two unique pool areas – the Main Pool, which is a 60-foot round pool at the heart of the property, and The Little Dipper Pool, our smaller rectangular pool that is available for private rental, and serves as our adult-only swimming area. Both pools are located at the center of the property, with easy access to The Pool Bar, restrooms and other amenities.
Access to the facilities begins at 4pm on the day of arrival and continues till the pool closes on your day of departure (6 pm or later depending on the day of the week).
The River Electric is nestled in the woods and walking distance from downtown Guerneville, a hidden gem in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley, where towering redwoods meet riverfront charm. Welcome to our land in the beautiful wilderness of upper Calistoga. Our land is true wilderness, with some development of trails and amenities, at our Calistoga ranch just 10 minutes outside of town. The hilltop (where Coral Cabin is located) has electricity and wifi, and is a common area for all campers behind the shade screens. The main house is not part of hipcamp; tenants are a nice family but keep to themselves.
Our ranch has been newly renamed after my new son Dylan, who will inherit this family land of 100+ years. Our hipcamp is our newest project over the last 3 years, creating the rustic campsites after we created the trails for our wedding in summer 2022. We are currently working on a fourth, pull-through RV site, so stay tuned.
This hipcamp is a 'leave no trace, clean up after yourself' campground. We provide trash bags and ask that you take all trash and recycling to the bottom of the driveway, in the 'hipcamp' trash bin provided. There is no host on site, but I am very available by text, all times, and there is a caretaker on site for emergencies. Our rates are substantially lower to accommodate for this. If that is ok with you, read on!
We currently have 3 campsites. Please see descriptions for each campsite access and services available. *The Hilltop/Coral Cabin has the most access and services. If you don't need the cabin (but have an RV or want to pitch your tent), let me know and I will discount your nightly rate by $30/night (and no cleaning fee at all), to enjoy close access to everything and the best views.
You will see lots of wildlife! Beautiful birds song every morning, little lizards everywhere, turkeys, deer...(some non-edible, but) beautiful wild mushrooms at the right time of year! You can hike the extent of our 34 acres on fireroads that lead to the top of the Whaleback Ridge, seen in the distance from all camps. That would be an epic sunset hike!

Our property boasts year round creeks, waterfalls, swimming holes, Madrones, Oaks, Douglas firs and manzanitas. Wild horses roam the land as well as the occasional mountain lion and black bear. On the human end we have an ancient walnut grove as well as many fruit trees two small ponds all in total privacy at the very end of the road. We also have a Sauna and outdoor bathtub and shower available for use. We are out a 9 mile dirt road and a 4X4 or all wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended. This 10 acre property is located on the coastal ridge, often above the fog. You will be on the Pacific plate looking across to the North American plate, looking down on the San Andreas fault! Near artsy, coastal towns. Wonderful location for relaxing after a day of hiking and exploring beaches and forests.. In the winter months, it can provide a peaceful retreat and often dramatic storm watching. Peaceful, security-gated property with a campsite for RV's/tent camping for maximum of 6, and the charming, rustic, Pickle Barrel cabin for 2 is available. You can book either one or both. Either way, you will have the entire site for your stay.
Outside wood campfires are allowed unless there is a fire ban, propane fire pits are allowed year round. Hot showers are available 15 minutes away with purchase of a day pass and quarters. The owners and their dog live on site about 50 yards away. You may see us doing our walks. Centrally located. 10 minutes from beaches, rivers, state parks, Stornetta Lands National Monument, and towns, i.e., Gualala, Point Arena, or Anchor Bay.

Excellent Group Site! We only host one group at a time so you can be with your family and friends in a large, flat and private space. Choose between the campground, the cabin, or both! You can add the cabin to your campground stay under "extras'!
The land was originally purchased in the 1980's. Since then, it has been used by four generations of the family as a place to gather, relax, camp and even celebrate. I had my wedding on the property in 2010. For a few years we held an annual music festival with the very inventive name of Samapalooza. Up to 400 people would attend the day filled with live music, food and drinks. You will still find the stage and bar we built as an outdoor kitchen and dining area.
Around 2008, my father and I planted our first olive trees. Many have been planted since which has gifted the land the timeless sense of purpose it deserves. My father dedicated his last years to tending the young trees and now I have taken the mantle to carry the farm forward.
'The Property', as it is known amongst family and friends has always been a place to camp. I have sat around the same fire ring for decades, rain or shine. I hope that fellow hipcampers can find the joy that my family and I have experienced here.
This is a very private camp on a small olive farm. Geographically close to highways and the town of Novato, Sonoma and Napa wine country, this camp feels remote and secluded. Only one camp on the property to keep it private and special. You basically have your run of the land. We have just updated the land and made some nice improvements. Located on ten acres, you will drive past a small olive grove before reaching the spacious and open campground.
Just up the hill from the camp is a private pond where you can fish, take out a small boat or just sit and watch the birds. It can be great swimming on hot summer days.
This spot has been used by the family for decades and is now open to share with fellow nature lovers.
Just a note: While the majority of the time you can expect complete privacy, this is a working olive farm. From time to time you may run into me (Sam) or someone else associated with the land. We will always do our best to respect your space.

We have four lovely Glamping sites at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park and 25 miles of hiking trails, nestled in the glorious chaparral of the Mayacama Mountain Range and Sonoma Hills, deep in the heart of wine country. The cost is $150 per night on weekends (Fri and Sat) and $125 per night on weekdays (Sun-Thurs). There is a 2-night minimum stay required between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
In our family-friendly campground, our tents are 16-Foot Canvas and come with one queen-size bed, two futon lounge chairs (May be converted to twin beds), rugs, tables, lighting, and complementary firewood the first night. At no additional cost, we can add up to two twin beds to each tent upon request to sleep up to 6 people. 8 people max allowed at the campsite.
The glamping sites include a picnic table, fire ring, outdoor seating, and room for additional tents if desired. All sites are easy walking distance to flush toilets and a bathhouse, with large, clean, coin operated hot shower rooms. There is no cell service in the park, but free WiFi is available at the Visitor Center.
PLEASE NOTE that Bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets) IS NOT included in a standard rental, but is available as an add-on. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bedding whenever possible. If no bedding is added, we will assume a one-queen setup with mattress covers only. We kindly ask guests to provide at least 48-hour notice if bedding will be required. We will always try to accommodate last-minute requests, but we cannot guarantee this.
PETS and SMOKING ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE our glamping tents! This is strictly enforced, and you WILL be charged a $150 cleaning fee for any violation of this policy.
Parking: Your reservation includes parking for one vehicle. There is an additional $10 per night per vehicle charge for more than one vehicle, which you can pay for at the Visitor's Center upon check-in.
Please note that a $25 setup/cleaning fee is charged per reservation, plus a booking fee.

Ettawa Springs Resort dates back to the 1920s like the fashionable resorts in the Cobb area where the rich and famous came to play. But Ettawa was oriented towards families and a more relaxed and rustic atmosphere. We are working hard to restore her to her former glory. We are excited to announce that we have one cabin and a few campsites ready for use and will be adding more as we go. The campground offers hot showers and flush toilets, two sites in the Glade have running water and power. The cabin is a fully equipped studio with kitchen and bathroom.
You can hike through our property to the Boggs Mountain Demonstration Forest or just enjoy the clean air and listen to the wind and the birds. On clear nights the stars put on an amazing show. Clear Lake is about 45 minutes away with all the fishing and water sports you could ask for. Harbin Hot Springs are 15 minutes away and they offer day passes for reasonable rates.
We are located about 20 minutes outside of Middletown. Be aware that half of the road is dirt (and that's better than the asphalt half) all of it is fine for small cars, just take your time. The last 1/2 mile or so is a one lane road, so please be careful of opposing traffic and uneven surfaces. We cannot accommodate vehicles longer than 28’ on these roads. Please do not take County Road 110 from Boggs/Cobb - it is not maintained at all.
We offer California camping at its finest. Fresh air, whispering trees, amazing star fields . . . this can mean the less attractive side of nature as well. We have ticks, rattlesnakes, stinging things, poison oak, uneven trails and surfaces, and a bear on one ridge with mountain cats on the other (no sign of either in the campground). We keep the restroom stocked with Tecnu for the poison oak, but please watch yourselves and especially children. Dogs are welcome, but should be kept on lead and inside at night for their own protection and the comfort of others.
We are fairly hands off in our hosting approach. Unless there's a question or problem, you likely won't see us. But we have people close by and are only a message away.

Clear Lake Campground is a small, vintage RV and tent campground, established in the 1950s. Camp right on Cache Creek, the only outlet of Clear Lake. The campground offers fishing, kayaking, and boating right from Camp. A car or boat is required to get to Clear Lake. For lake fishing, Redbud Park, Highlands Park and Austin Park are all within a ten minute drive from Camp. Austin Park also has a playground and swimming beach.
The park offers rustic charm with great fishing and bird watching right from your campsite. We have a boat launch for your kayak, canoe or motor boat and we have canoe and kayak rentals. Cool off in the small pool. Challenge your family to a ping pong tournament or corn toss game.
Lake County guests enjoy stunning vistas, world-class wines, the largest freshwater lake in California, the cleanest air in the US and endless outdoor activities. Activities include fishing, birding, kayaking, biking, hiking and wine tasting. Our staff have been trained as tourism ambassadors and can help you make the most of your vacation.

Each of our areas, whether for entertaining or residing, has its own theme and is decorated with care. Each of the listings has it's own private deck or patio and then you have access to all of the common areas on the property
We promise you will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but you are minutes from everything.
Lulu’s Landing and Captain Wack’s Cove is a pirate-themed Creekside hangout, where you can enjoy a fire, except during banned season. Also a great place to capture a glimpse of the numerous critters that cruise our creek. Foxes, Deer, Squirrels, Otters, Ducks and Herons as well as numerous songbirds that feed from our bird feeder.
Lulu’s Lanai is a Flamingo-themed outdoor living room and dining area with fun vintage furniture and décor.
The Take- A -Liki- Tiki Shower Shack is a great place to cool off and clean up after a day on the river or exploring tidepools at the coast. There is even a puppy bath station behind it for your furry friends!
The Wack Shack is our outdoor bar and grill, full of fun, colorful lights and signs. There’s plenty of equipment to cook there: appliances, a BBQ, sink, fridge and walk-up bar.
We also have several apple trees, a pear tree, and tons of blackberries when in season to share with our guest. Our Veggie Garden will be available next season to enjoy also. We are constantly improving our property so please stay in the finished designated guest areas only until we open up the coming attractions.
There are plenty of sites and destinations within minutes from our home too! We have Tennis, Pickle Ball, and Basketball Courts around the corner. The Russian River/ Monte Rio public beach is a short walk past the Parks and Recreation Center, and they rent Kayaks and Canoes during the summer months. The Redwood Alliance camp is just a few miles up Bohemian Hwy if you dare to zip line through the redwood canopy forest or Armstrong woods in Guerneville for those that would rather keep their feet on the ground and take a hike
Duncan's Mill is a quaint town (less than 3 miles from us) on your way to Jenner by the Sea which is just about 9 miles to the west of us. You can take a gorgeous coastal drive to Bodega that is only 15 miles away. Historic Fort Ross is another beautiful 20 mile coastal drive. Bike Enthusiast love the back roads out here and the Biggest Attraction Is… Wait for it…. Wineries are everywhere!
During the summer there are several Music Venues close by too. The Rio Nido Roadhouse has outdoor music on the weekends. Rockin the River is every other Thursday in Guerneville. The Monte Rio Variety Show just celebrated it 111th year to a sold-out crowd. Zac Brown, Steve Miller, Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor are just a few Headliners that have been here in the past.
We have a great Lightwave coffee shop across the creek that is a quick 5 minute walk. There are several restaurants along the river as well as a small grocery store, movie theater, and a Homemade Ice Cream Parlor that are all close enough to walk to or drive. Guerneville is a quick 4 mile drive and has a Safeway and many restaurants and quaint shops too.

We are conveniently located off of US 101, therefore there may be some freeway noise, during commute hours especially. It has become like white noise to me, but it is only fair to mention it.
We offer full hookups which consists of 50 amp & 110 volt electrical outlets, potable water, sewage dump. We also have one pigtail available (with a refundable deposit) if needed to convert 50 amp to 30 amp. We also have one place in the middle of our big vineyards with a 30 amp and water only. No sewer.
Our sites are located one mile from Healdsburg plaza, the heart of Sonoma County Wine Country. Our town offers amazing wineries, fantastic restaurants, and quaint shops. It is an excellent place for wine lovers. There is a pre-prohibition winery right across the road called Foppiano. There are many other fabulous wineries are nearby. Ask the host for discount passes or complimentary tasting cards for some of the local wineries.
We are in an excellent location for outdoor adventurers. There are plenty of hiking trails near by as well as bike rental shops for those who enjoy trekking, and even a couple of rafting places right here on the Russian River.
We are close to places like Armstrong Woods, Safari West, Getaway Adventures, The Sonoma County Fairgrounds which hosts the Summer Country Concerts among other events, Harmony Festival, Santa Rosa Full Camp; Half Marathons Camp; 5K, Sonoma Zip-line Adventures, and Much More!
For you foodies there are Savor Food Tours, Relish Culinary Adventures in addition to all the incredible restaurants in town.

The glamping tent is on a platform with 2 single beds that can be pushed together as needed. The tent is next to a garden area with a picnic spot. We do not provide towels or bedding.
We supply drinking water at the campsite.

We are located 3.5 miles from downtown Sebastopol, 16 minutes from the coast, and near wine tasting, hiking, and great restaurants.

Weekend Trip to Wackalulu's Wonderland

Sue's cabin was so cute and peaceful, we loved having breakfasts on the deck overlooking the creek and staying cozy inside after dinner. It was the perfect location for my gf and I to get away from the festivities in town. Highly recommend! Be sure to factor in the additional driving time due to the road work.

I stayed here with my family and it was the perfect spot! Super close to beautiful coastal hikes and a cozy nook between trees with easy access to close by towns for any supplies. G was super responsive and helpful. We got some rain despite the forecast saying clear sky's but no issues in our tents and the cabin stayed toasty! I would definitely come stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Creek View Tree House
This was honestly one of my favorite trips I’ve ever had on this platform. The treehouse was absolutely wonderful — cozy, clean, peaceful, and everything felt just right.
Sue greeted us when we arrived and was incredibly kind and friendly. She was also very responsive whenever we had questions.
The place itself was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The room was very comfortable and thoughtfully prepared, with multiple blankets available, including electric heated blankets that worked really well and made the stay extra cozy. The fire pit was also amazing — sitting by the fire at night was such a beautiful and peaceful experience. There was also a hammock at the treehouse, which was super easy to set up and perfect for lying down and relaxing for a while.
In the morning, we woke up to different bird sounds and even saw some birds and wildlife around the area, which made the whole experience feel magical. We also heard there was a cat nearby, though sadly we didn’t get to meet the cat this time!
The only small downside was that the shower was not available during our stay, but other than that, everything was truly perfect.
Overall, this was a very special and memorable stay. Sue was a wonderful host, the place was beautiful, clean, and relaxing, and we had an amazing time. Strongly recommended!

This was my 4th time camping at Sugarloaf but my first glamping. Simply put, my wife and I were wowed from the moment we arrived. The site was perfectly situated and the yurt included two small chairs, nightstands and small table, two foldout sleeping pads, a queen bed that was as comfortable as our mattress at home, charged wireless lantern and lamp, and…electricity! I have never been as cozy and warm camping…this was a game changer for me as an outdoorsy person. My wife, always a good sport about camping, was actually comfortable and so so happy to be able to blow dry her hair after a shower. Outside were two loungers, a picnic table and two Adirondack chairs next to the fire pit. 10 out of 10, I can’t wait to go back!

This is absolutely stunning experience. If I would describe that in just one word, it would be “privacy”. You are all alone and barely see the host. The site is well fought and nicely organized. The amenities is just enough. you surrounded by a beautiful forest but beautiful and worthy point Arena coast hike is just 15 minutes away. Five stars experience. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay here-one of our best family experiences. The setup strikes the perfect balance between comfort and being outdoors. The tents with real beds and electric blankets made it cozy at night, and the firepit setup was perfect for relaxing evenings.
What really stood out was the layout of the space-it feels like a small community rather than being isolated. There's a shared open area where kids can run around and play freely, which made it ideal for families. Our kids had an incredible time.
We also loved the simplicity-no internet meant everyone was more present, which added to the experience. Everything felt thoughtfully set up and easy to enjoy without stress.
If you're looking for a comfortable, family-friendly glamping experience with a great atmosphere, this place is a gem.

What a great spot to get in out of the cold and rain. I loved the rain sounds at night here. The grill, the kitchen and the bed were exactly what I wanted, but ended up spending hours in the comfy chair listening to the rain. I loved this quiet spot. Also, Sue's recommendations were perfect. Food, views and directions. Use Sue as a resource she was lovely.

It was such a great stay, we did one night in the coop and wish we could have stayed longer! The outdoor kitchen and wood stove was so nice. It rained while we were there but just listening to the rain while making food and enjoying a fire was amazing. The coop is very cozy with its own wood stove as well. Chris met us on arrival showed us the lay of the land. The sauna was such a nice touch as well! Will def be back!
