Primitive sites are back-to-basics: no hookups, no structures, no potable water. There is non-potable water available for washing—please bring your own drinking water. A shared composting toilet is available to all campers. Winds can be strong in spring and summer, but sites are placed on the leeward side for protection. Fires are permitted when conditions allow—check with us on arrival.
We’re just 10 minutes from Tomales, 15 from Valley Ford, and 3.5 miles from Dillon Beach. Bring a kayak or canoe and paddle from camp to the Pacific via the Estero.
Primitive and RV Sites with sweeping views of West Marin pastureland at True Grass Farms, a working ranch along the Estero San Antonio. Our campsites are well spaced for privacy and quiet, surrounded by birdsong, grazing animals, and the rhythms of ranch life.
Each primitive site overlooks the Estero and is near a mowed grass road for easy access. It’s peaceful here at night—other campers may be nearby, but you’ll feel immersed in nature.

Located within 45 minutes of the wine country and 2 miles from the coast, our property is 400 acres of rolling hills and redwood groves, with a creek running along its base. With miles of trails meandering through quiet woods and meadows, you will be able to revel in the tranquility of a private preserve, without sacrificing easy access to some of Sonoma County's most famous attractions. A hundred years ago, this land was used to graze sheep. Remnants of the old fence lines can still be seen in places, along with old cement troughs. Since then, the land has been left to its own devices, passing through many hands, most famously owned by two brothers in the 1980's who built a truly amazing tree house in the forest which has been featured in several magazine articles. It was revamped and updated in 2016 by a master craftsman, using fallen redwood logs found on the property and is now a unique structural work of art, available for overnight stays. We produce 100% grass fed, dry-aged beef on our certified organic pastures and have a store on site if you would like to purchase delicious steaks, ribs, ground beef for hamburgers or some roasts to take home. Our cattle graze on the native grasses, never grain, and drink only water produced from our own springs. We also raise Kiko meat goats and produce pastured, certified organic duck eggs on a commercial basis. Whether it's surfing at sandy beaches, award-winning clam chowder, a wine tour, horseback riding or a hot air balloon ride you're after, you won't have far to drive if you make our ranch your base camp. You may see a family of deer appear suddenly, or a few Scottish Highland cows which we allow to roam freely over the property. There are over twenty species of wild birds that grace this protected spot, so bring your binoculars! A portion of your fee goes towards protecting native flora and fauna as part of our private wildlife preservation program. A limited number of private, widely spaced camp spots are available for visitors. The Eagles' Nest Treehouse (mentioned above) is very isolated and you may or may not even be aware that there are other people within miles of you. For those who value nature, seclusion, quiet and the artistry of old growth redwood, this is the place for you.

We have four lovely Glamping sites at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park and 25 miles of hiking trails, nestled in the glorious chaparral of the Mayacama Mountain Range and Sonoma Hills, deep in the heart of wine country. The cost is $150 per night on weekends (Fri and Sat) and $125 per night on weekdays (Sun-Thurs). There is a 2-night minimum stay required between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
In our family-friendly campground, our tents are 16-Foot Canvas and come with one queen-size bed, two futon lounge chairs (May be converted to twin beds), rugs, tables, lighting, and complementary firewood the first night. At no additional cost, we can add up to two twin beds to each tent upon request to sleep up to 6 people. 8 people max allowed at the campsite.
The glamping sites include a picnic table, fire ring, outdoor seating, and room for additional tents if desired. All sites are easy walking distance to flush toilets and a bathhouse, with large, clean, coin operated hot shower rooms. There is no cell service in the park, but free WiFi is available at the Visitor Center.
PLEASE NOTE that Bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets) IS NOT included in a standard rental, but is available as an add-on. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bedding whenever possible. If no bedding is added, we will assume a one-queen setup with mattress covers only. We kindly ask guests to provide at least 48-hour notice if bedding will be required. We will always try to accommodate last-minute requests, but we cannot guarantee this.
PETS and SMOKING ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE our glamping tents! This is strictly enforced, and you WILL be charged a $150 cleaning fee for any violation of this policy.
Parking: Your reservation includes parking for one vehicle. There is an additional $10 per night per vehicle charge for more than one vehicle, which you can pay for at the Visitor's Center upon check-in.
Please note that a $25 setup/cleaning fee is charged per reservation, plus a booking fee.

Welcome to our land in the beautiful wilderness of upper Calistoga. Our land is a nature experience, with some development of trails and amenities, at our family land just 10 minutes outside of Calistoga, with wineries, spas, and restaurants. The hilltop (where Coral Cabin is located) has electricity and wifi, and is a common area for all campers; . The main house and deck is not part of the hipcamp; the tenants are a nice family and caretakers of the land, but not the host.
Our sites are no frills, cute and rustic, and “user responsible” meaning the price includes basic “leave no trace”cleaning guidelines. Because of this, communication with Dan is super important to ensure expectations are clear for you and us, our land is respected, and you have a great time!
Rules for all sites, read before you book!
1. We provide trash bags and ask that you take all trash and recycling to the bottom of the driveway, in the 'hipcamp' trash bin provided (smaller grey bin by mailbox).
2. We have a compost toilet system designed by a graduate of the Occidental Ecology Center permaculture course. It has pros and cons, but when operated correctly, it is a good system: All you gotta do is add mulch (which is any dried leaves or grass), on top of your own biz and it begins to break down waste immediately, including smell. If in doubt, add more mulch; you can find it in a bin by the toilet or gather a handful at time of service. Or: There are also nice coffee shops in town:)
3. The nature of our land being wild, there are no wood fires allowed. We have propane fire pits, and ask guests to use extreme caution with bug candles or smoking anything.
We currently have 3 campsites. Please see descriptions for each campsite access and services available. *The Hilltop/Coral Cabin has the most access, Wi-Fi, cooking appliances, and the best views. Each campsite has a gas camping stove and compost toilet.
You will see lots of wildlife! Beautiful birds song every morning, little lizards everywhere, turkeys, a toad here and there! You can hike the extent of our 34 acres on fire roads that lead to the top of the Whaleback Ridge, seen in the distance from all camps. That would be an epic sunset hike!

Huckleberry bushes and ferns grow abundantly. The place lends itself to self-reflection and introspection. There is space for 1 RV with a patio table and chairs and some sun loungers. There are also 2 tent sites available on the property, located in one large area, further away from the RV sites. Barely 7 minutes away is downtown Gualala, with amenities such as 2 supermarkets, pharmacy, bakery, restaurants and more. There is a beautiful holistic gift store, The Sea Trader, Four Eyed Frog Bookstore, and some lovely art galleries in town. Kayaking is available at the Gualala River. Hiking at Gualala Regional Park, the Bluff Trail, The Sea Ranch public access beaches, Stump Beach, Salt Point Park with a petrified forest, Bowling Ball Beach with its amazing natural formations (can only be seen fully at low tide of more than -0.2m), Manchester State Beach, Elk Beach, and more. The quaint town of Point Arena is 12 miles north, with a supermarket, Frannie's Cup And Saucer, The Bird Cafe, a beautiful historic lighthouse, a theater, a pier, a mini-safari park (B Bryan Preserve with zebras, giraffes and more. Tours need to be booked in advance). Also visit Roots, a natural pharmacy for herbs, teas and supplements.
There are also spots like Occidental, Bodega Bay, Jenner (with the Russian River to kayak and swim) and Timber Cove, all on the way to Gualala from the south. Bodega Bay has lovely spots to eat, with clam chowder, fish and chips. Enjoy wind and water sports, and walk on the pier.

Our property boasts year round creeks, waterfalls, swimming holes, Madrones, Oaks, Douglas firs and manzanitas. Wild horses roam the land as well as the occasional mountain lion and black bear. On the human end we have an ancient walnut grove as well as many fruit trees two small ponds all in total privacy at the very end of the road. We also have a Sauna and outdoor bathtub and shower available for use. We are out a 9 mile dirt road and a 4X4 or all wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended. Ask me about booking the whole place for a private event!

We very much enjoyed our stay! The cabin is the perfect size for two people and we loved having the creek right outside. Our goal was to escape the firework noise during Independence Day weekend. This is a great spot to get away from the city and enjoy the natural surroundings. We appreciated having a private kitchen and bathroom, as well.
It was lovely to meet Nora and Goldberry and we would love to stay again!

Weekend Trip to Point San Pablo Harbor
The Hive experience at Point San Pablo Harbor was truly exceptional! I enjoyed the sweet, respectful goats that roam around during the day, as well as the beautiful nature that makes up the farm. My favorite activity in the area was swimming using the access just next to the docks that house the shower (which was amazing!). I also walked a long way along the San Pablo Bay Trail to Good Hot just for fun, which, despite the distance, was very enjoyable, especially at sunset. The hives themselves were such an incredible, minimalist space, and I appreciated the view from the window that opened, letting in the sea breeze, the ambient lighting, and the deck space they sat on. The Sailing Goat unfortunately ran out of gas when I was there (so prepare for that remote possibility) and opened after checkout. The others on the property and the harbor staff/residents were very kind and enhanced my experience. I can't wait to return, whether for another adventure on the bay or one of the harbor's fun events!

We recently spent two nights camping at Sugarloaf Ridge, and it was a wonderful experience. The campground and all facilities were very well maintained, clean, and in excellent condition. The atmosphere throughout the campground was friendly, respectful, and welcoming, making it easy to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
The campsites were well kept, and it was clear that both staff and visitors take pride in caring for the park. We appreciated the peaceful environment and the courtesy shown by fellow campers. Overall, Sugarloaf Ridge provided a great camping experience, and we look forward to returning in the future.

Sugarloaf glamping sites are beautiful and well equipped. The facilities are clean and my kids loved visiting the camp store plus had some necessities we ran out of. This was my third visit. There was little mix up on which site I thought I was reserving. Love being able to roll in and only have to set up the food. We added a tent for the kids too. So many trails to explore. We bring radios to stay in touch since there isn’t any phone reception.

Weekend Trip to Meadow camping in Bolinas
Had an amazing, relaxing stay at Meadow Camping in Bolinas. The property strikes a perfect balance between rustic camping and thoughtful comfort. Waking up in the meadow surrounded by sheep, chickens, and towering cypress trees felt incredibly peaceful, and the setting has a special, almost magical atmosphere.
The shared amenities were a huge highlight. The outdoor kitchen was well-equipped, the hot showers and flush toilets were clean and convenient, and soaking in the hot tub after a day of hiking or exploring the coast was hard to beat. It's clear that the hosts have put a lot of care into creating a welcoming space.
The location is fantastic. Loved spending our evenings under the stars and our mornings enjoying the sounds of the farm.
If you're looking for a unique camping experience with beautiful surroundings, friendly hosts, and amenities that make outdoor living easy, this is an exceptional spot. Sirima and Walter are incredibly thoughtful hosts as well. Feeling grateful and thankful to have experienced the weekend at their spot.

Weekend Trip to Glynraven Gardens
Glynraven Gardens was one word: PEACEFUL. You get lost in so many things - the view, the animals, the infinity pool, the property in general! The glamping tent was clean and comfortable. The outdoor kitchen had everything we needed - fridge, freezer, sink, burner stove, pots, pans, plates, utensils, salt and pepper. My boyfriend and I loved cooking outdoors while enjoying the view, sitting in and by the pool, walking around the property, checking out the cannabis plants, watching the animals (peacocks, roosters, chickens, dogs, cats), getting a tour of the property by the owner Antler (small fee charged). Every where on the property you get an amazing view. The owner and workers are very polite and give you privacy unless you approach them to socialize. Shout out to Sean for telling us a bit about the farm! Antler is a great host, answers any questions you have, and works his butt off all day while everyone enjoys his beautiful farm. We will be back in October with our parents to check out one of the container homes. Can’t wait!

Weekend Trip to Estero San Antonio Wonderland
We had an amazing stay at this glamping trailer and would absolutely come back again. The trailer was cozy, comfortable, and much better equipped than we expected. Guido was incredibly accommodating and available to answer any questions we had about the property.
One of the highlights was the farm shop, which offered fresh farm-raised meats, eggs, firewood, and other locally made items. There were also beautiful flowers, balms, and other products that weren't currently in stock but were great to see available for purchase at other times.
The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and full of friendly animals that made the experience even more special. Despite thinking we had packed everything we would need, we accidentally left behind a pan and eating utensils. Thankfully, the trailer was stocked with just about everything imaginable, including pots and pans, silverware, seasonings, a toaster, and a coffee maker.
The nights got a little chilly, but the heater kept the trailer comfortable, and the fan was perfect during the warmer parts of the day. The true star of the trip, however, was the wood-burning sauna. It made for a unique and memorable glamping experience that we haven't found anywhere else.
If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with beautiful scenery, thoughtful amenities, and a unique farm stay experience, this is an excellent choice. We would definitely stay here again.

We are just back from 2 magical nights here. I cannot say enough positive things about this little piece of paradise .incredible views of the mountains from the deck, sitting in a hot tub or enjoying the outdoor shower. Everything has been thought of here on this 5 acre site. My son and nephew slept in the tree house. Loved it. I enjoyed the pagoda. There are so many hidden treats on this property I cannot say enough. We had a great hike just down the road in the national park. And there are so many amazing restaurants within a short drive. I highly highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Moon Bear wildlife Sanctuary
My partner and I visited this Hipcamp for our anniversary and had the most amazing time. The whole area was so beautiful, with so much wildlife and stunning trees and greenery. The hosts Britt and Jessica were wonderful, so welcoming and warm and made our stay 10x more fun than we even thought possible. The treehouse was so much fun and I highly recommend the whole experience!
