Lovely property, amazing host!
Me and a friend went up for my birthday these past few days, as we have made hipcamp a birthday tradition, and it was magical. We were on a specific time frame and the weather was looking iffy but we decided we would rather go and it rain then not go at all, and I firmly stand behind that choice. Even though it rained through most of our stay, we stayed in the structure with a roof and it felt amazing, the sounds of the water was lovely, we painted and played board games and played in the rain and just had an absolute blast. The structures were easily accessible but very private, BRAND NEW, and overlooked a beautiful river. The property was absolutely lovely and we woke up to mama cows calling their babies, I truly mean magical (disclaimer: no cows on this property, just surrounding ones). Wentz is SUCH a fantastic host, I can not say that enough. Honestly, every person we came across in the area were absolute gems and so sweet and helpful. Wentz was beyond helpful and accommodating when it came to the weather and made sure we were dry and well cared for. Fantastic experience, will always suggest. We already said we would absolutely love to come back in the fall and hopefully plan to do so. If you are on the fence - it is absolutely beyond worth it!!
(The single disclaimer I want to leave is def bring your camping vehicle if it is any kind of wet when you go, we did get stuck coming in going through some mud that we just wish we would have known was a possibility beforehand - but, if you're going in the summer or any dry season, I highly doubt this will even be an issue.) (:
Thank you again, Wentz, for the great birthday trip!! We absolutely loved it!
If your looking for a nice place to stay right on the river with plenty to do and peaceful seclusion this is the place. The camp sites are perfect for small groups, the wildlife is amazing. We saw deer and beavers. We will definitely be back again.
