We do have a Queen Sized outdoor bed and bedding available to add to rental for $10/night. Bunkhouse is a camping experience - bring your own bedding. There is the old main home still standing right by camp with an old barn behind camp. Also across the road sits another old barn and cellar house. (We ask nicely please no one enters any building on site). This site is perfect for family or friend groups that want to set their trailers or vans up around a common area. There is 4, 30 amp hookups and 1, 50 amp hookup near the meter pole. Wifi and electric on site, but no water hookups. There are endless opportunities of fun with these few things close by and much more not listed, whether you just want a getaway or are looking to hike or float the river, this property is conveniently located close to it all! 1.5 miles to the Ozark Highlands trail 2 miles to the Little Mulberry river 4 miles to the Mulberry river 10 miles to the historic Oark Cafe 10 miles to Byrds Adventure Center Property is located on a dirt road which can be steep and rough coming from the south certain times of the year, 4x4 vehicles recommended for wet/muddy/snowy times of the year. Coming from the north it is a smoother road but is a longer dirt road coming in that way. It is inconvenient for some but it is an incredibly peaceful and secluded property which makes the great place it is!

Generators are welcome and pets are too. The property is bordered by old growth national forest and an ice cold spring fed stream is located in the national forest behind the property. Like all wooded areas in Arkansas ticks should be expected while hiking and camping at the Crystal Camp Campground. Please bring tick defense for yourself and pets.

We enjoyed our stop at Heavener Runestone Park. The terrain is hilly and scenic. Our highlight was watching the sun set from the scenic overlook. The amenities are a bit faded, but functional. This was a comfortable place to spend the night on our way south. It was fun to learn about this odd bit of history, too!

Folks, I can't recommend Barker Gap and Brian enough. I just completed a couple day stay in Site 1 (just me and my dog), and the grounds were immaculately kept and very spacious, the scenery was gorgeous and the hospitality shown by the host (Brian) was off the charts. If you're visiting Brian's neck of the woods, stay in one of his cabins or do like I did and set up the ol' glamper in one of their 3 RV sites. I make you this promise... you won't regret it. Can't wait to come back, wife in tow this time.

Great little spot that you won’t have to share with many or any others. You’re right on the Fourche La Fave river. You have a fire pit basically on the river with a nice gazebo adorned with warm string lights. 20/30/50 amp power worked flawlessly and you have water as well. Great spot. The hosts are super nice. 10/10 would camp here again!

The wife and I loved staying here in our RV. The sites are nice, wide and level. Nothing more you could ask for in a campsite. Very close to Buckhorn trails with lots of riding straight from camp. The hosts are the best! Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area or planning to ride Buckhorn.

Amazing spot. They really made sure there’s everything you could need at the site. The river is beyond beautiful. The pavilion had all the extras one could need and more. We had an amazing time and will be back as soon as possible in Spring. I even had a dead battery in my car as we were trying to leave and Daniel came to the rescue to give me a jump start. Best Hipcamp we’ve been to yet!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Our three dogs had the best time exploring and going on endless “snifaris” (aka sniffing safaris) — so many new smells, trails, and riverside adventures to enjoy. The campsite itself is stunning — the flowing river is perfect for swimming or just relaxing beside, and we spent the evenings by the firepit grilling and listening to the water. The open-air pavilion with lights and power made cooking and hanging out super comfortable, and the hammocking area overlooking the river was an unexpected favorite. Daniel, the host, was amazing — incredibly responsive and friendly. When we messaged about grabbing a little extra firewood (we’d packed light, knowing some would be available) and mentioned that one of the water faucets wasn’t shutting off fully, he replied right away and had it sorted quickly. Between the peaceful scenery, the great amenities, and how close it is to both trails and a convenience store, this place truly has everything — adventure, comfort, and calm. We can’t recommend it enough. Whether you’re coming to unwind by the river or explore the surrounding trails, this is one Hipcamp you don’t want to miss!

This is a beautiful spot with complete privacy. All the services were easy to access and worked well. The covered pavilion was wonderful touch, and access to the river was easy. The host was very attentive, responding to questions almost immediately. We would recommend this to everyone!
