Ouachita Campground at Edendell

Joanna was a wonderful host. She was polite, welcoming, and very accommodating with our reserved campsite and arrival time. She took the time to ask about us and our trip, and she provided all the information we needed after meeting us at the guest facility. We also had the pleasure of meeting her husband and son, they are a very lovely family and made us feel even more welcome. The location was quiet, peaceful, and exactly what we were looking for. Although there were two other campers nearby, the sites were spaced far enough apart that we still felt like we had plenty of privacy. The amenities provided were great, and we made use of them during our stay. We also saw fireflies, butterflies, and many other animals, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We truly enjoyed our stay and only wished it had been longer than one night. We would definitely stay here again.

Thanks Edendell for the relaxing stay. Host was communicative and gave us clear directions for how to find the glamping spot. Spot was cozy and guest facilities provided at the shared facility space were sufficient. All the plants were a bonus enjoyment factor. Great views.

My group and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ouachita Campgrounds. We had a relatively private campsite, that included a table & chairs, swings to lounge in and a fire pit (with wood provided). Although the site was at a bit of a slant, we made it work. We arrived on July 4th and had the opportunity to get to know the property owners, engage with other campers, and watch the fireworks show that the hosts provided. The hosts were personable, attentive, and engaging. The whole property gives the feel of camping on a botanical garden, with well maintained campsites, phenomenal landscaping, gorgeous ponds to relax by. We took the opportunity to use the laundry room, as we are camping cross-country, as well as the showers. It was so lovely to have access to facilities. Hoping we get the opportunity to camp here again soon!

The property was beautiful. Rv Site 12 is the site with the best view. It said it was a gravel pad but there was a thin layer of mud all over our camper spot but that could have been due to excess rain. Camper spot are close to the highway but the highway wasn’t too noisy. The host was responsive with texting and was helpful. The WiFi was unable to reach site 12 but we had enough signal for a hotspot. Overall a nice stay.

A very well thought out camp site that is secluded and in the shade most of the day. It was nice to have furniture too, a table and chairs and swinging seat. The hosts are super helpful and friendly, and they have a very convenient kitchenette, laundry and showers. Would absolutely stay again!

This is a beautiful location with very friendly and helpful hosts. A view from our camper site was nice and the stargazing was awesome at night. I had a little bit of mixed feelings about the location because it is at the top of a hill and though it gives a good view.l, it a bit dangerous for our toddler and we had to watch him extremely closely to not get too close to the edge of the fairly steep hill. It was hard to tell that from the pictures and would’ve been nice to have known in advance.

Nice spot with views into the Ozark mountains of Arkansas. Quiet and nice spot to walk around with the hound dog. Saw a summer tanager and a few other nice birds. Wifi was a bit touch and go, due to the storms in the area, but otherwise all was good.

Rockhounding/Camping

Just spent a week here & it was so peaceful. The hosts were very nice & very accommodating. They have plenty of washers & dryers if you plan on digging for crystals or if you just need some clean clothes. They also have 2 showers with hot water for a nice shower after rockhounding. And if the weather gets bad they have a stove & kitchen area for you to cook. The scenery is so beautiful & breathtaking. Thank you Joanna & Jason for a peaceful beautiful stay, we will definitely be back!

I love the site and the family

I love this place. The new owners are working very hard to upgrade this beautiful space. I can't wait to come back. The site is going to be a wonderfully eclectic site for tent camping, RV camping and rooms in the "big" house. For now, it has everything you need, including a community kitchen and free washers and dryers. The family that owns the property is warm, welcoming and very happy to provide any help needed.

Easy to find. Joanna was there to greet and show me around, was quick to respond, very up beat and pleasant. 1st time glamping, stayed 2 nights on deck loved the idea of not having to carry all the camping gear and not having to break it all down. The comforts of home but yet still had outdoor experience. Town was 30 minute drive. Joanna was very helpful at recommending places to visit. Extension cord and USB was available to charge devices or bring a fan if needed. Thank you for a pleasant stay.
