Weekend Trip to End of the Trail

This is a magical place!!! It is in a very secluded area. Had to pass a small creek which I was scared to do in my car that’s low to the ground, but it probably could have made it. Great place to have a fire and look at the stars. The only thing I wish is that we had more time!!! It was peaceful listening to the river at night. Also saw deer.

Weekend Trip to Red Fern

We chose the glamping option which I would recommend. When we arrived, our tent was fully set up with a double high queen mattress, cooking and eating utensils, paper towels, toilet paper, and bottled water. Since the weekend was suppose to be cold, there were tons of blankets and even a propane powered heater provided. The site we were at needed a little more tender, loving care as it was a fresh, new site, but was in a beautiful spot overlooking a lovely, blue swimming hole. The sounds of the river/creek and our crackling fire were magical. Due to unforseen circumstances, (and unexpectedly frigid weather that we were not completely prepared for) we had to cut our trip short, but Sam and Michelle were completely understanding. We love visiting Arkansas and the property was beautiful, especially with the fall leaves in full color. I would definitely recommend this spot and would come back in the future. Also, the directions were clear and easy to follow and any questions or concerns were promptly addressed.

Weekend Trip to Fox Pass Retreat and Campground

Fox Pass Retreat is just that- a retreat! It's located in a quiet area between/20 minutes away from Paris and Booneville, which are big enough to have all the amenities. It's a pretty area with lots of nature to watch for. I stayed in their treehouse for the weekend. The hosts, Jasmine and Roger, graciously extended my stay on the front end when they had a cancellation. They have put a lot of thought into this getaway, with artistic touches, including Jasmine's stained glass creations, areas for kids to play, and a map of the hiking trails on their land. We loved our stay at Sacred Pines! We stayed in one of the tiny home cabins. Beautifully constructed, had everything we needed and more. The grounds surrounding us were a beautiful spot to walk our puppies around. Super peaceful and close to so many awesome hiking trails. Not great cell service out there (it’s the country, duh. We loved it, really made us more present and hangout with each other rather than be on screens) Perk: our tiny cabin had an awesome pizza oven that we used to make some home made pizza after a long hike! Thank you Miranda for creating such an awesome space, we will be back

Amazing’tiny home’ with all the amenities, including a fire pit with wood provided! I felt very safe and was able to rest peacefully. I would definitely stay here again!

This place is always great. I bring my dog and she loves running down to the river and through the field. You can see the stars super well on the right nights and sunsets are always awesome. There’s a gas station about 5 minutes down the road where you can restock and a Walmart in Mena is about 30 minutes away. If you want an easy hike, Southern Loop Trail is a good pick around Mena — it’s part of the Earthquake Ridge Trail system just west of town, right off U.S. Highway 270 and only took about 45 mins to do.

Weekend Trip to End of the Trail

Perfect campsite on the River. Shelter is amazing. Sites are secluded for perfect privacy. Beautiful property! We will be back.

Absolutely fantastic off grid camping in the heart of a vast trail system if you like to go atv riding and if not its a perfect place to hang out a while away from the world! We trail road some days and kayaked a park of the river right off the camp site the other days. We have stayed at both site 1 and 2 at different times and love them both.

Weekend Trip to End of the Trail

End of the trail was an amazing getaway from all the modern world. The river was right there, the site was gorgeous and had amenities I was not expecting but glad to have access to. The area was peaceful and simply gorgeous. My dogs loved the area as well and my child got to enjoy the site of cows in the field across the river.

Very clean. Hot water and pressure was great. Hostess was very quick to respond. Cabin is close to main road but was quiet, we did not hear any road noise but it is located away from town. Convient store was up front made it easy if you needed anything or just wanted to walk over to get breakfast or lunch. Everything you need was provided. No stove but microwave was present. We just needed a place to lay down our head a couple of nights after a long day at an event. Served our purpose and was much cheaper than a hotel and quieter because you don't have people coming up and down the hall way and people all around. You have your own personal space which was nice. Would rent again.

The treehouses at End of the Trail were very cute and comfortable. Everything you need except bedding. No water though, and the porta potty was far away near Site #1. We stayed at Site #2 Freebird. The River bottom is too muddy for swimming, but the frogs, cicadas, owls, and lightning bugs made up for it. Could hear some highway noise but did not wake me up. Site #1 has a side creek that moves swifter and we rinsed off in it bc no one was there. Felt very safe. Great not to have to set up a tent.

A very special place. The swimming holes were so amazing. Definitely need 4 wheel drive to park by your site which we had. Only downfall was a very large group showed up our last day and night and it was close and loud. No fault of the owners, maybe just check to see if any large groups coming in before you book.
