This 55 acre park is home of a large sandstone that contains 8 markings believed to have been made by Vikings many years ago. The park features a seasonal waterfall, covered picnic areas, playground, amphitheater with seating, community building, scenic views, gift shop and approximately 2 miles of nature trails. Be advised that most tent sites have a tent pad but a few are primitive mountain terrain (rocky). There is also a camp style grill for cooking right at the rivers edge. Dedicated hammocking area overlooking the river, or have some friendly competition with a game of Bag-O game (boards provided). This area offers a wide open space for exercising, walking/bike riding along a country road, or just relaxing by the riverbank. Want a little more adventure? This area boasts an expansive network of country dirt roads and trails for your ATV/UTV or Jeep, and is less than five miles from the Ouachita National Forests' Fourche Mountain Trail. All this but still close to civilization. A 24 hour convenience store is less than two miles from the campsite. This quaint little spot has a lot to offer!

Electric sites are 30 amp, if using for tent camping you will need a 3-prong converter (we can rent one to you for $5 if you do not have your own). RV/Camper MAXIMUM length is 28 feet.
Tipi rental is a camping experience only; it does not have electricity, a/c or heat. There are solar lights inside. We do have a Queen Sized outdoor bed and bedding available to add to rental for $10/night.
Bunkhouse is a camping experience - bring your own bedding. A/C, heat, electricity, TV & DVDs, Microwave, and Mini fridge are inside. Guests use campground restrooms
Campground restrooms and showers are a short walk from campgrounds.
We are pet-friendly. Dogs must be leashed at all times that they are not in a tent or camper and friendly with other dogs and people. There is a working dog on the property-he is friendly with all people and dogs.

Hosts were accomodating and very quick with communication. Camping spot was pretty level and hookups were obvious and logically placed (for example, sewer hookup was near where most rv sewers tend to be…no Tetris skills, stretching of sewer hose, or praying needed😅)
I chose it for price and distance to freeway. Price can’t be beat in that area for rvs. A smidge awkward getting there, lots more turns than I expected… but really not an issue overall. For an overnight it was perfect.

We enjoyed our stop at Heavener Runestone Park. The terrain is hilly and scenic. Our highlight was watching the sun set from the scenic overlook. The amenities are a bit faded, but functional. This was a comfortable place to spend the night on our way south. It was fun to learn about this odd bit of history, too!

Lovvvved this little get away. We took our rambunctious pups here and they had so much fun (they were sad to leave and made some friends while there were there!). The views are absolutely stunning, and if you're seeking a deep immersion in nature, this is the perfect place. Nestled in the heart of the woods, the property offers a serene escape ideal for forest bathing, quiet reflection, and soul-soothing solitude.
Little Mulberry Creek winds gracefully along the edge of the land, revealing beautiful swimming holes that invite you to relax and explore. As a delightful bonus, friendly donkeys roam the nearby pasture—and they’re just as affectionate as they are adorable!
We stayed at the RV campsite with our camper, and the setup was a breeze thanks to the perfectly level ground—by far the easiest we've experienced.

I absolutely LOVED my time here! The views were stunning, and there were so many beautiful spots to wander and explore right around the campsite. The creek was incredible — crystal clear water and natural swimming pools that felt like a dream. The wifi connection was also great which was important to me and I was able to work from my camper with no issues. Jill is the definition of a super host. She was so kind, checked in on me often, and even offered to grab anything I needed from the store. She and her husband are both the sweetest people, and it was such a pleasure meeting them. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

It was raining and cold when we camped but we still had an incredible experience. The location is absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by forests and stunning mountain views. The campsites are well-maintained, with fire rings, clean facilities and plenty of space to set up camp. The peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We enjoyed hiking nearby trails, as well as down to the runestone. The lady at the visitor center/gift shop was friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to reconnect with nature and enjoy a peaceful getaway!
