We have an abundance of wildlife including fox, turkey, racoon, otters and even a resident piebald whitetail buck named lucky. There are 4 private car camping spots and plenty of parking for those visiting the trace with trailers for horseback or ATV riding. Water lovers, please bring the vessel. boat docks at each site and one near footbridge for hike-in water lovers too. human powered vessels only. We have 8 primitive hike-in camping sites that accommodate up to 12 tents with fire pits provided. All and their pets are welcome to come enjoy our little borrowed piece of this incredible planet. just please leave no trace when you go, come back soon and don’t let the frisky canines chase the speckled deer. Our Lucky is a lover, not a fighter.

Will absolutely return to this lil slice of heaven! I was lucky enough to be the only one there (I think) and it rained all night and it was peaceful and pretty and great for my dogs :)
Great place to car or tent camp! There are no facilities, but as long as you go in knowing that then you're good. It's pretty and easy to get to.
Perfect campground with plenty of space! The grass area is leveled off nicely and is right next to the lake. Beautiful when the sun comes up over the lake. Also Brad and Nikki are very responsive to messages and are super friendly! 10 out of 10 would recommend.
It was a beautiful and perfectly-priced place to sleep for the night while on a driving trip! While it is unfinished, I can see how beautiful and peaceful it will be once completed! The lake is certainly filling up.
If you stay, be sure to ask ahead of your arrival exactly where to go once you reach the GPS coordinates given in the reservation. There are no signs- either at the entrance or within the RV area for site numbers- and it was after dark, so it was quite difficult to know where to go. There is a bar of cell service (ATT) there near the road.
Brad and Nikki were responsive and kind! There was a small issue with receiving texts later due to service interruptions, but contacting them ahead of time will do the trick!
I will definitely stay here again someday!
This space is still being developed, so staying here felt a bit experimental, and a bit like I was invited to an exclusive location before the general public.
If you want to be off the grid, free to explore, and sleep under the stars, this is the spot for you.

The hosts were very nice, and the place was beautiful. It made for an easy setup and enjoyable stay. I’m excited to see the place when the whole project is finished.
I enjoyed our time at Lazy Acres Lake. Although the lake isn't full I can see the potential and am excited to spend time there fishing and kayaking in the future. Until then, it's the perfect place for disconnecting from the world and reconnecting with nature. We walked around the property exploring, looking at all the different animal tracks, played in the water that was there, and just enjoyed a peaceful day outside. It was just what I needed.
Camp sites are completely private, new lake not filled yet which made the trip for our family a bonus. The boys did some fossil digging, a hobby of theirs and found a Mosasaurus fossil. They are going back later this week! The host graciously welcomed their fossil hunting. Great trip!
