Had a great time and beautiful weather. Caught several large catfish, bluegill and bass! Hosts were kind and happy to help in any way possible, would love to come back!

Site 2 - Getaway Camp and Retreat
Lane and Dan's property is a beautiful place for a respite from your routine. Lane and Dan are great hosts and will make you feel at home. They have provided a sparkling clean pool and unique bathhouse (that even has a washing machine) and full hookups at the two shaded gravel RV sites.
Away from cable TV and WiFi, nature takes the stage at The Getaway. From your campsite you can watch the fish jumping in the pond, deer strolling across the grounds and thousands of butterflies fluttering about. At night, the dark is broken only by the moon and billions of stars above.
The only downside was that the brutal heatwave during our stay limited our outdoor activity. We will visit again.

Wife and I needed a few days of complete downtime and we found that here at Lane and Dan’s little slice of heaven. The hosts were amazing from the start of the reservation till the minute we headed back to reality. The bathroom/showerhouse is an amazing addition to this beautiful property. The views are spectacular, the lake has some great fish, the pool was refreshing and we’ve already booked our next trip to Lane and Dan’s property. If you don’t book here you will never know what you are missing out on.

I did not get to stay here due to being sick, but the hosts were very responsive and accommodating to my flex in plans. I wish I could’ve stayed to meet them. I will definitely keep them in mind next time I’m in town.

Great campsite with wonderful hosts. Gorgeous pond in a natural setting. Full RV hookups and a bathhouse with a shower and toilet. Couldn’t ask for anything more!

we camped next to the pool so we could utilize the extension cord, the lake was beautiful and reflected the trees line on one side, plenty of bird watching at this HipCamp, everyone was friendly, facilities were clean. Traffic is loud of the mornings and afternoons. Bring your own firewood. We pretty much had the whole property to ourselves, there were two other campers setup, this place has a lot of potential!

Had a wonderful long weekend on Dan and Lane's land. Peaceful and relaxing, access to the bath house was an added bonus that made everything so much easier. We enjoyed the nice, big, clean pool to cool off during the heat of the day and all the butterflies that flew around sampling flowers landscaping around the pool. We will definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, escape and get back to nature.

Beautiful spot! The hosts were friendly and the other campers were quiet and respectful. We didn’t use most of the amenities but the pool looked fun and the shower house was clean. Great to have a flushing toilet and hot water to wash hands.

What a beautiful gated property and land to share with other hipcampers. Upon arrival, Mr. Dan greeted us with some home-cooked bbq chicken and after a day on the road, it was an unexpected treat. We did not have time to enjoy the pool, but the bath-house was truly adorable and one of the best features on the property for those used to primitive camping. A+ on the hot water shower. Embrace the open-air concept and get back to natural! Wish we could have lingered longer.

We arrived right after sunset and were welcomed as we were putting up our tent. We felt welcomed and right at home on Lane and Dan's land and will happily go back again when we are in the area. The camping spots were spotless and the bath house was much more than I had expected. You'll need someone to stand guard for you while you shower as it is shielded only on three sides... unless I missed something. We missed the sunset but the sunrise was spectacular! If using GPS to get there, use the address to get to the property but use a dropped pin at the drive to actually get you there!

Picturesque property with amazing views of nature and the lake. Host we're great and came to meet me as i got lost. Do note maps tries to take you a different route so watch for the road to turn on. Was impressed by the amenities in the bath house with warm showers.

I said that we would return again and again, and we did. I love this place! It is so quiet and peaceful. The hosts are so nice and thoughtful. I feel spoiled coming here. I honestly don’t want to go camping anywhere else.

The area is peaceful Dan and Lane treat you like like long lasting friends. The full hookup is awesome along with the bath house/toilet/laundry. We plan on going here often in the spring and summer great location east to get to and just simply one word AWESOME! The fishing is Great there almost forgot that part!

A lovely piece of property with a large pond and pool! This is a FHU site, but they also have a bath house if you are tent camping. This site is not very level, so bring plenty of blocks. We greatly enjoyed the peace and serenity of this site and loved the privacy from everyday city life. This was also a great area to stargaze. The hosts are super friendly and we would recommend staying here!

The pictures do not depict how beautiful the property really is in person. Lane and Dan were very gracious host and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. Full hookups and level gravel sites overlook the large pond and pool. They also have washer/dryer and washroom next to the rv site. Very quiet and peaceful.

Beautiful and relaxing Hipcamp. Lake is awesome to kayak & fish. Having gravel to park on keeps area clean. Bath house is fantastic & clean. The pool is wonderful, but just note the host are open to clothing optional at the pool! Would absolutely recommend this Hipcamp. Dan & Lane are very friendly host. Keith & Susan Voll

My family absolutely enjoyed staying at Getaway Camp! A little while after we arrived Dan came down with some catfish food for the kids to feed the catfish. My kids thought that was the coolest thing! We will definitely be back to make more memories!

This site was perfect for our first camping trip. With electricity, the bath house nearby, a fire pit, a lake, and a pool, it was almost like we were camping in our backyard but with better views! We were obsessed with the bath house, and we were relieved to have running water. Such a unique and fun experience all around!
