Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping. There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek. There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area. Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite. Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

Running Water Creek is a unique, fully off grid campground just 20 minutes to downtown Chattanooga. We have 80+ campsites spread out over 120 acres. Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Our well and cabins are all solar-powered as we are not on the electric grid. Some info about the property: -we DO NOT have water or power hookups -we have gravel roads with a 5 MPH speed limit on the property (if you drive too fast the roads will seem rough) -we are right next to a highway and train tracks so there will be some noise (some days are better than others and we have no way of predicting how many trains will/will not go by) -none of our campsites have picnic tables (please plan accordingly) -most campsites have fire rings built, but if you choose a site without one you need to build your own

Our location is phenomenal we are an hour from Knoxville and Asheville and just about 1/4 mile off I-40. Right at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and 35 minutes from Gatlinburg about 40 minutes to Pigeon Forge (Dollywood), also about 45 minutes to Sevierville and one of my favorite Tanger Outlets!! The beautiful Smoky Mountains the National Park is filled with hiking trails and horse stables and trails. Some of the best white water rafting is less then 5 miles up the road along with zip lining and a lil taste of moonshine here and there. This property is primitive with no electric and has a camping style bathhouse. IT’s recommended for outdoor lovers and people that are not too needy. Hurricane Helene brought unforecasted changes in the land but the tranquility of the River remains. We have worked to restore as much as we could. As for us it’s still our happy place in the Smoky Mountains!

After hiking through what felt like every property for sale over 100 acres in North Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee, we finally found the perfect spot. Why do we call our property Whippoorwill Woods? Did you know that whippoorwills don’t nest in trees? They lay their eggs on the ground in the forest. They’re birds that love camping! As soon as we heard the whippoorwills start singing in the spring, we knew it was the perfect name. We’re so excited to share our property with campers who love nature as much as we do. We specifically set up the campsites to give as much privacy as possible. We hope you’ll come visit and soak up the bird songs, the wind in the trees, and the beautiful sunsets over the mountains. We have 20 acres of savannah grassland full of native plants and wildflowers and over 80 untouched acres full of awesome rock formations and creeks with waterfalls available for you to hike. There's a gorgeous view overlooking the Cumberland Plateau and the Sherwood Valley. Experienced and beginner campers are welcome! We live on one side of the property, so we’re available to assist (setting up tents for the first few times is no joke!) or we’re happy to give you as much space and solitude as you need. We have three campsites available in the native savannah grassland. We have a porta-potty available, but you'll need to bring your water with you. My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. The hosts are very quick to respond and send a lot of information before arrival. It was quiet and the tent sites were clean and a good distance from each other so that you don't feel like you are camping on top of one another. There are two bathrooms so when the site was full at times there might be a small wait to use the restroom. Bathrooms were very clean and I appreciate that they have a wash sink outside so that you can wash your dishes. There is no cell service but they do have WiFi at the site. Roads to the site can be tight and have a few blind spots so go slow and take your time. I cannot wait to camp with them again.

This was one of the nicest campgrounds i have ever stayed at! Not only was the view from the hill gorgeous, but the atmosphere was peaceful. Sites are well spread out, bathrooms are clean, and the hosts were extremely kind and friendly. It rained a lot during my trip but they had a barn available for us to still make food and play games since we only had a car and a tent. I highly recommend staying here!

The property was beautifuL, easy to get to, and the owner was very sweet and came to say hi and hive us stickers! Fire wood was available there. The owners dogs were sweet and the little dog Jobo hung out with us and made our night. There is a train that runs Every hour so if You are a light sleeper like me, try to find a spot away from the tracks. We haD a lovely time.

2 nights at The Falls at Sewanee Creek

We loved our two night stay at the Beech Tree House. The Tree House is an admirable and creative construction nestled on the edge of a cliff right next to a Beech tree. It was fun to stay on the futon bed which is under a roof but on the edge of being 'outside' - so one could listen to night sounds, watch the night sky, and drift in and out of dreams. The night sky was incredible with so many stars! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook. There was also a grill and a firepit. The shower was strong and warm. Our daughter who loves art and drawing enjoyed the sketches and paintings guests have left in the Treehouse. She added to the collection. This was our second stay at The Falls at Sewanee Creek. The first time we stayed in the Trampoline Tree Tent - also fun, but more bare bones than the Tree House. We love the grounds, the opportunity to wander down the gorge at the base of the water fall, and all of the creative dwellings and whimsical art that are around the property. Grant and Becky are fantastic and thoughtful hosts. Check in and check out was easy and quick, always coupled with an interesting conversation with Grant. We came back for a second visit because we loved everything about The Falls at Sewanee Creek, and because there are great hikes nearby with beautiful old growth forests and rock formations (check out the Fiery Gizzard Trail). Highly recommend!
