The Property: Located north of Cookeville in the rolling hills and farmland, our property is on Spring Creek, a state scenic river. Situated between two waterfalls and featuring over half a mile of river frontage to explore. Float, fish and relax listening to the cascading water. Perfect for bird watchers- blue and green herons, ospreys, hawks, bald eagles and more. You may spot the creek critters- minks, beavers, and otters. Various types of bass, craw dad's and minnows are in the creek. We operate similar to a state park. We are open to the public from 10am-7pm, peak season. We have other listings that are spaced so each of our guests has privacy. Please see aerial photo for an overview. We sometimes have small events (birthday parties, ect) at the pavilion. Please feel free to message us first, if you would like to see if there are any events during your stay. There are 2 restrooms centrally located at the pavilion. One bathroom has a shower with hot water, soap, shampoo/conditioner included. The restrooms are shared with our other listings. There are USB and regular outlets in the pavilion and WiFi. During warm season the outdoor kitchen is available as well. We also rent out a Suite which is located above the pavilion. Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and picked up after. Please note there is a gun range 2 hollers away and depending on the season, it can be heard from our property. Tent in the Trees Listing: Your tent site is built above the trail and overlooking the creek. The tent is equipped with a queen bed, linens, extra blankets & essential cooking gear. There is a fire pit with grill and griddles for cooking over wood or charcoal. Really, all you need is clothes, food and drink! Primitive Camp Site: The rustic camp site is DIY. It is 300' from pavilion, and 600' from Tent in the Trees. We provide a picnic table and fire pit You bring all the rest of your gear. Typically, you may park next to your campsite. No RV's, converted vans are permitted. If you have a very small camper, please message us to see if we can accommodate. There are no hookups, and no loud generators allowed. It's a mountain or some may say a hill. We call it a mountain because of the rock bluffs, cliffs, and dramatic nature of this spot. As such, there are cliffs you could fall off, trails that are difficult and dangerous at times depending on your hiking skill level. Located at the edge of the prarie on the main trail is a sunrise/sunset/bird-watching platform that is 20 feet in the air with a 2 stage bridge to access it. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, propane grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill. A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer! We look forward to hosting you!

Weekend Trip to Beech Hollow Hideout

William has it going on ! He makes amazing art, has cool goats, and dogs. The stay in the little cabin was awesome. The views from the cabin are amazing aswell. Theirs also a 1.5 mile hiking trail on the property. The out house was super nice. Everything on the property is hand built. Ask him if he has anything cool for sale, he has more than art! I’ll definitely be visiting again soon!

Driftwood Treehouse is cozy, private and pet friendly w/Queen and sofa beds. All you can see is forest from the porch. You can even see the firepit while laying in bed!

Weekend Trip to Awakening Adventures

It was a lovely escape from the city. Just me and my pup, who unfortunately doesn't care for other dogs, and the owners were super kind about putting their sweet pups up so she could have the freedom to live her best life too. The treehouse is the perfect size and has everything you need to just relax. The porch faces away from the other sites so even with another group there, it didn't feel like I was in a fishbowl. The hiking trails are nice and there's plenty of them to just escape into the woods. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and if you're just trying to escape the noise for a chill spot to light a fire and stare into the void for a while, I highly recommend it.

It was very peaceful at Helga's cabin. It's just a sweet, simple space to be quiet and enjoy some alone time with my dog. It was such a treat to be able to talk with Helga in the yard. I wish it had been warmer to sit on the porch and enjoy my coffee. Bad timing in weather (it was 20 degrees!), I would have loved to sit on the porch to drink my coffee. I also would have loved to have more time to chat with Helga. Hopefully there will be a next time!

Weekend Trip to Quarter Spring Farm

My sons and I had an awesome winter weekend camp out at the farm! The dome was really cozy and Heather made sure we had everything we needed. We felt right at home from the moment we parked our car until we said our goodbyes on Sunday morning. The property was perfect for exploring during the day and it was quite peaceful at night. The farm animals, especially the goats, were really cool. We even got to be there to welcome a new baby goat into the world! 10/10 recommend this place!

Weekend Trip to Grandview Camp @ Lemon Lane Farm

Had a great time at the cabin. We came in the off season on a rainy weekend that turned pretty cold, but overall it was a great stay. The cabin was very easy to find, had plenty of firewood (absolute must, no insulation) and secluded enough from the main part of the property to really provide that peace and quiet we were looking for. It could use a little tlc, but again, we came in the off season so it's hard to take any points off for that. Would absolutely stay here again.

2 nights at Glamping at Deer Camp Cabin

I can hardly express just how amazing our little vacation at Deer Camp was. My wife and I were blown away by the cozy and welcoming atmosphere we walked into. The photos on the website hardly did it any justice for just how truly wonderful our stay was. We had planned to explore the area, but instead spent our time at the cabin for our entire stay. Mitch and Lori were fantastic hosts and we can’t thank them enough for the care and love they clearly put into the place. They really went the extra mile to stock the place with everything you need and more. My wife and I are already planning our next visit!

Weekend Trip to Stone Branch Cabin

This cabin sits in a beautiful area surrounded by old trees and a creek. The wood burning stove was nice to have when the temperature dropped at night. The games and art supplies in the cabin were an added surprise. I would stay again!

Weekend Trip to Hannsz Hideaway

This loft perfectly met our needs for a quick, comfortable stopover mid road trip! The appliances all seemed new, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and our fur babies had plenty of space to move around. The host seemed experienced and thoughtful with little touches around the loft (ice in the freezer, shampoo in the shower, hot chocolate and mugs ready for a nice treat, tv on a swivel arm so you can watch from the bed, gate on the patio to keep your dog contained etc) and clear instructions for where to find everything and what to expect. The craftsmanship around the loft was also impressive (well built doors, countertops etc). We would definitely stay here again!

1 night at Beech Hollow Hideout

The cabin and land are a beautiful invitation to stillness and time with self~ just what I was looking for. The energy of love and community in the space is potent and reminded of “trail magic” with all the art and tokens of wisdom left behind by friends. William and Sharron are gracious hosts, available to help and respectful of privacy allowing you to feel both secure and secluded. They have the sweetest welcome pups too :) Thank you thank you. I look forward to visiting again.

This was my second time staying at William’s cabin. This unique HipCamp is my favorite. Peace, solitude and a warm wood stove on a freezing night! William is an extremely attentive host and an all around fascinating person. The cabin is so thoughtful and cozy. The craftsmanship and details are amazing. Thank you again William and see you (and the pups) again soon!

Weekend Trip to Peaceful Haven Cabin

We loved it! The cabin is cozy and cute! Plenty of hiking onsite and friendly dogs/cats to keep you company! Helga was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. She gave great local recommendations and even had fire wood ready for us on arrival! This was great because it had rained the day prior and we had dry wood! The hiking on her property is beautiful. Plenty of rock formations and views. Thank you for a great stay!
