The Property: Located north of Cookeville in the rolling hills and farmland, our property is on Spring Creek, a state scenic river. Situated between two waterfalls and featuring over half a mile of river frontage to explore. Float, fish and relax listening to the cascading water. Perfect for bird watchers- blue and green herons, ospreys, hawks, bald eagles and more. You may spot the creek critters- minks, beavers, and otters. Various types of bass, craw dad's and minnows are in the creek. We operate similar to a state park. We are open to the public from 10am-7pm, peak season. We have other listings that are spaced so each of our guests has privacy. Please see aerial photo for an overview. We sometimes have small events (birthday parties, ect) at the pavilion. Please feel free to message us first, if you would like to see if there are any events during your stay. There are 2 restrooms centrally located at the pavilion. One bathroom has a shower with hot water, soap, shampoo/conditioner included. The restrooms are shared with our other listings. There are USB and regular outlets in the pavilion and WiFi. During warm season the outdoor kitchen is available as well. We also rent out a Suite which is located above the pavilion. Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and picked up after. Please note there is a gun range 2 hollers away and depending on the season, it can be heard from our property. Tent in the Trees Listing: Your tent site is built above the trail and overlooking the creek. The tent is equipped with a queen bed, linens, extra blankets & essential cooking gear. There is a fire pit with grill and griddles for cooking over wood or charcoal. Really, all you need is clothes, food and drink! Primitive Camp Site: The rustic camp site is DIY. It is 300' from pavilion, and 600' from Tent in the Trees. We provide a picnic table and fire pit You bring all the rest of your gear. Typically, you may park next to your campsite. No RV's, converted vans are permitted. If you have a very small camper, please message us to see if we can accommodate. There are no hookups, and no loud generators allowed. Bundles of wood available $10. Escape in nature and sleep soundly to the sounds of the creek!

Quarter Spring Farm is located in Liberty, TN on the western edge of the Cumberland Plateau. It comprises 63 acres of wooded ridges and hollows with exceptional hiking and distinct landscape features. Smith Fork Creek, which feeds Center Hill Lake, is visible from the campsite. Quarter Spring Farm’s history is murky and still being discovered. The house is over 100 years old. There are stone property walls that may predate the civil war. We believe this site was a Mississippian period settlement because of the large amount of artifacts we have found. Please note: there is no electricity at the dome. There will be a battery with a light and the option to charge your phone. There is no parking at the dome. The walk is uphill and takes about 5 minutes or so. This is still a tent, the dome is not insulated and is not 100% sealed. Bugs do get inside from time to time. I will also provide you with water for cleaning and at least a gallon to drink. Just let me know if you need more. If you can get here before it gets dark, that is the best. If you can’t, that’s ok, we’ll just be hiking in the dark. Luckily I know my way around pretty good.

The tent was very nice with a beautiful view of the river. Everything we needed was already at the tent. Bathrooms nearby. There is no fridge, so be sure to bring a cooler with plenty of ice. Also highly recommend bringing water shoes, as the waterfalls are gorgeous, but the beach is very rocky. Pet friendly! Well definitely be going back!

First of all the host was an amazing!! The sight was very private!! You could hear the water from the sight! We floated all afternoon and had an amazing dinner. Alice had thought of everything! There was pots pans , bed was super comfortable!! What a romantic getaway for us!!

Weekend Trip to Beech Hollow Hideout

It felt magical from the moment I turned in the driveway. I loved all the big rocks, the creek, the sculptures, and so much green everywhere… William and his animal friends were very welcoming and made it easy to find the hut on the hill. After the extremely challenging sweaty hike up (par for the course in a TN July!), I arrived at what felt like a fairytale cottage in the glen. It was beautiful! The perfect place to reset your nervous system and take several deep breaths… things I would recommend: pack light, take a good walking stick, guard yourself against chiggers if you plan to sit on the ground or venture into the wild areas in summer, and take a headlamp for seeing better inside the cabin and outside at night. I might suggest you take a solar shower bag. I didn’t have one, and it would’ve been wonderful to rinse off once or twice. There is a giant glass jug of drinking water there, so you don't need to carry the extra weight of water up the hill. Greet the trees when you get there; I’m pretty sure they appreciate it. And thank them when you leave. It’s a nice way to bookend your experience. William is a great steward of the land, and you will feel very safe and cozy there. Rest well!

2 nights at Quarter Spring Farm

We loved the dome! I stayed with 3 kids and we enjoyed the seclusion and goats! It is a bit of a hike to the dome, but Heather and JB helped getting in and out. We hiked at parks in the area during the day and came back to the dome to relax, have campsite dinner and sleep comfortably. The land is beautiful and enjoyed a very unique experience.

I loved Waterloo! There are so many state parks around but there’s no point in going cause the beauty is really just all right there! I had the time of my life and cooking was really simple during my stay in the tent in the trees. Alice was also incredibly sweet and helpful during our stay. When we had questions she was quick to answer and all the people we met that were staying on the property were super sweet as well. definitely will be going back!!

The property is beautiful and comfortable. The loft has everything you need to have a great time away. Clean and air conditioned, we were so happy to spend the days in the outdoors but have the hideaway to come back to. We picked it because it is close to our favorite TN state park, Fall Creek Falls, which is only 15 minutes away. Krys was so lovely and welcoming! She had our son collect fresh eggs from her hens, which was an absolute highlight of his trip. My family loved staying here and we absolutely look forward to coming back!

1 night at Camp David on Cumberland Plateau

There was an amazing amount of sleeping options in the tiny space, with a semi-private queen size bed with full linens, a full size futon, and 2 twin beds in the loft. There is also a hammock on the covered porch, tons of lounge chairs both with and without cushions, and a full table with chairs. Shower toiletries, soft and strong toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, and towels are all included. The toilet flushes, the outdoor shower heats up and I cant think of anything the outdoor kitchen is missing! My kids also appreciated playing with the cards and jenga. The creek is nearly dry, but we are in a heat dome this week (a couple battery operated fans we brought cooled both rooms enough for sleep). No electricity, but everything else you could want in glamping is there. If you forget basics or just want a soda, there is a convenience store maybe a couple miles down the street.

We enjoyed staying in the Tent in a Tree. Perfect place to unwind and enjoy the outdoors. The tent was clean and stocked with supplies. The property is amazing and we loved visiting the water falls and floating in the river. Highly recommend! We hope to go back soon

My friends and I had such a fun time here. Such a beautiful place and a great space for art, music, games, and reconnecting with nature. We absolutely loved having his dog beau there with us, he’s such a sweetie! The host William was the absolute best and so helpful. Will definitely be back!

This is a gem!!! This little apartment is exactly what we needed for a few days away. Krys has stocked it with everything you need to plus a few extras. The bed was comfy, the fridge and freezer was the perfect size. Loved the air fryer/ toaster oven. Coolest bathroom ever. We LOVED all the puppy and kitty cuddles. Krys was a joy to hang out with. I hope we get to come back through that way again soon. We highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Quarter Spring Farm

My kids and I had the best time at the GeoDome! A much needed break from the city. We played games all night. But first enjoyed our hiked in dinner on the patio with the sunset. The rainstorm sounded lovely as it put us to sleep. Accommodations were comfortable. And the visits from the goats were a delight. We look forward to coming back in the fall. Hopefully to make use of the wood burning stove.
