Our 6 acre property sits on the E. Fork Obey river in the hollows of beautiful Muddy Pond, TN. The river runs right through the heart of our property which provides endless fun and exploration. With the 500 feet of river front, you have all the space to float, swim, fish or just simply relax in this secluded oasis of natural beauty. We have built an intimate 12x12 A-frame style cabin to accommodate 2 adults and up to 2 small children. Perfect for a family with small children looking for an easy camping trip or a couple in need of a nature retreat. This off grid cabin has everything you need to make living in nature as enjoyable as possible. Just enough to still feel close to nature without giving up any comfort. This cabin is located in Muddy Pond Mennonite community. Within two miles of our cabin you will find multiple leather goods stores, the Country Porch restaurant and store, Muddy pond general store, the variety store, sorghum mills, locally grown produce, hand made furniture and more. This is a wonderful and relaxing area full of adventure and hospitality. We are within 20 miles of 4 major waterfalls including burgess falls. Cummins falls, rock island and virgin falls. Several state parks, hiking trails and mountains are close by for an adventurous day trip. We hope you enjoy this place as much as our family does.This intimate studio cabin is 144 sqft and includes everything you need for a weekend in the woods. Our cabin sites on the Obey River with its own private river access and over 1000 ft of private river to explore. This is a terrific place to get away from it all. Our can is completely off grid but is equipped with solar power for basic electrical needs. Our cabin is within a short drive to some of Tennessees best waterfalls including burgess falls, Cummins falls, Waterloo falls and virgin falls. Rock island state park and fall creek falls state park are both about an 1-1.5hrs away. This cabin is great for a couple looking to get away or a young family with small kids. Cabin is most comfortable with 2 people but it can sleep up to 4 people.

Need to tell people that possibly since no signal anti theft could kick on like our vehicle did and had to have it towed to top of hill to get signal so it would start, not as nice as it says truthfully

It was very secluded and restful. The water from the stream and dripping of moisture through the canopy of trees was quite pleasant to my soul.

Cabin on the Obey

We really enjoyed our time at this beautiful little cabin! It's so private and we loved the easy river access for kayaking, the water is super clear and it's so gorgeous! The cabin was comfortable and clean, and had everything we needed. The perfect place to play in the water and reconnect with nature.
