Our 6 acre property sits on the E. Fork Obey river in the hollows of beautiful Muddy Pond, TN. The river runs right through the heart of our property which provides endless fun and exploration. With the 500 feet of river front, you have all the space to float, swim, fish or just simply relax in this secluded oasis of natural beauty. We have built an intimate 12x12 A-frame style cabin to accommodate 2 adults and up to 2 small children. Perfect for a family with small children looking for an easy camping trip or a couple in need of a nature retreat. This off grid cabin has everything you need to make living in nature as enjoyable as possible. Just enough to still feel close to nature without giving up any comfort. This cabin is located in Muddy Pond Mennonite community. Within two miles of our cabin you will find multiple leather goods stores, the Country Porch restaurant and store, Muddy pond general store, the variety store, sorghum mills, locally grown produce, hand made furniture and more. This is a wonderful and relaxing area full of adventure and hospitality. We are within 20 miles of 4 major waterfalls including burgess falls. Cummins falls, rock island and virgin falls. Several state parks, hiking trails and mountains are close by for an adventurous day trip. We hope you enjoy this place as much as our family does.This cabin is located at the bottom of scenic Peachstone camp hollow on the East fork Obey river. Relax and enjoy 500 feet of one of the clearest rivers in the state. Spring feed year round, this river is crystal clear and full of beauty. This is the river that feeds dale hollow lake, one of Tennessees cleanest lakes. Our 12x12 cabin offers a queen size bed plus all the amenities you would ever need for a camping getaway. 2 person Hammock, fold up rocking chairs, games, dvd player with dvds like “the office” and “always sunny”, tiki torches, cooking supplies and utensils, pour over coffee maker, coffee mugs, grills, griddle, Coleman 2 burner and a smoker, indoor circulating fan (not air-conditioning), indoor heater, pop up canopy, fire pit, hiking sticks and so much more. We have everything you need for a weekend at the river. This cabin is also minutes away from the Muddy Pond Mennonite community where you can find plenty of hand made items like furniture, leather goods and produce. Fresh donuts and pastries every Saturday morning are a must at The Country Porch! We are also close to many waterfalls including Burgess falls, Cummins falls, Virgin falls and rock island. Come enjoy the simple, yet adventurous life on the crystal clear Obey river here in Muddy Pond, TN.
