Come slow down, breathe the fresh mountain air, and experience the quiet beauty of Tennessee's Cumberland Plateau. We can't wait to host you!Ridgetop Tiny Cabin is a rustic, cozy, and quiet retreat with modern comforts! Parcel is 10 acres, with approx 1 acre cleared and easily walk-able. Guests will enjoy this quiet retreat and the modern conveniences which include: an outdoor shower with tank-less hot water, an air condition unit, a 3 cu ft mini fridge, a coffee station, a clean and easy to use incinerating toilet (no smell, a major step up from composting toilets!) and other common bathroom conveniences. One thing to note, please DO NOT run the shower while the toilet is incinerating. There is one gas line and the toilet needs a certain flow rate to complete incineration. There is a 325 gallon non-potable water tank that supplies the shower, sink, and garden hose, and is filled by rainwater collection. There is a 5 gallon tank in the cabin for drinking water. Bringing your own drinking water is encouraged. Electricity is supplied by the solar generation system. If there is a period of several (3 or more) very cloudy days it is possible there will not be power. This is not common and has never happened but worth noting. With this in mind, please turn the AC off if you are not in the cabin to conserve energy especially during cloudy days.
