We offer numerous camping sites on cleared land lined by trees, near to our gully and seasonal creek. Each site is private and offers plenty of space. Campers must be self-contained with their own camp toilet, but there is a 24/7 dump station just 2km away.
A stone's throw from the campsites is access to the mobility corridor/bike path, which takes you straight into Hervey Bay and continues all the way past the shops to Urangan pier, offering 15km of ocean frontage to explore.
Our farm is located about 2.5km from both hospitals (private and government) for any care that you may need. All specialists and consulting facilities are very convenient.
Next door to the campsites is our fantastic local cafe, The Depot Espresso Bar, open at 6 in the morning. They're happy to take orders for our campers from 5:30 if you knock! It's perfect for hopping on your bike from camp, grabbing your morning caffeine fix, and continuing on the day's biking adventure.
Campfires are permitted, but please BYO firepit, and there is plenty of fallen timber you are welcome to collect and split yourself. Pets are welcome too!

We recently moved to Gundiah Qld and acquired a beautiful piece of land (approx. 320 acres) with about 70 acres of picturesque camping located on the Mary River.
Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx. 20 minutes from the Bruce Highway) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful.
We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top.
There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts.
Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles.
We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property.
Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times.
We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe.
Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Great atmosphere and meals "tell them we sent you".

You may be moved to a different site if your chosen site is too wet. We use Good Riddance products for the midges & mozzies during summer because it works, its non toxic + deet free. We offer numerous camping sites on cleared land lined by trees, near to our gully and seasonal creek. Each site is private and offers plenty of space. Campers must be self-contained with their own camp toilet, but there is a 24/7 dump station just 2km away.
A stone's throw from the campsites is access to the mobility corridor/bike path, which takes you straight into Hervey Bay and continues all the way past the shops to Urangan pier, offering 15km of ocean frontage to explore.
Our farm is located about 2.5km from both hospitals (private and government) for any care that you may need. All specialists and consulting facilities are very convenient.
Next door to the campsites is our fantastic local cafe, The Depot Espresso Bar, open at 6 in the morning. They're happy to take orders for our campers from 5:30 if you knock! It's perfect for hopping on your bike from camp, grabbing your morning caffeine fix, and continuing on the day's biking adventure.
Campfires are permitted, but please BYO firepit, and there is plenty of fallen timber you are welcome to collect and split yourself. Pets are welcome too!

Expect to see amazing colours at sunrise and sunset.
Enjoy the many birds and animals that you will see as you spend time exploring our bush and farm. We recently moved to Gundiah Qld and acquired a beautiful piece of land (approx. 320 acres) with about 70 acres of picturesque camping located on the Mary River.
Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx. 20 minutes from the Bruce Highway) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful.
We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top.
There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts.
Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles.
We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property.
Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times.
We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe.
Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Great atmosphere and meals "tell them we sent you".

We have a beautiful 600 acre cattle property with plenty of room to spread out where other campers are nowhere in sight. Here you will find that the serenity meets the bush. We have beautiful flat grassy sites situated on Gootchie Creek, and around our very large spring fed billabongs that never dry up. Come and enjoy the green flat grassy sites along the creek, you may even see the resident platypus.Enjoy some wildlife watching and escape from the city. Bring your hammock and gaze at cloud shapes.Camp fires permitted and bring along your pet too. We are located 45kms north of Gympie. In town you will find all the shops, fuel and supplies for your camping trip.A dump point has now been installed on our property for your convenience.

Our property is a 100 hectare cattle farm with 1 km of river frontage.
Fire pits and firewood is located in camping areas, FREE!
This a great spot to KAYAK and wet your line with bass, saratoga, sooty grunter and lots of catfish!
Platypus inhabit the river too, so bring your camera.
Biking and bush walking are popular with guests.
Please note that the river bank is quite steep. We recently had 2 access tracks constructed to the river for easier KAYAK launching.
We are pet friendly and welcome SELF-CONTAINED RV campers only (council regulations).
Our wetland has lots of bird life with quite a few raising young.
The property is located 50 minutes from Gympie and Maryborough

We had a great overnight stay! Janita was super responsive and gave us great directions as we were arriving late, and Mary the dog kindly showed us to the campsite when we arrived 😅
Toilets and hot shower were great and we enjoyed a paddle down the creek in the morning - would love to come back again!!

It was a beautiful, remote, relaxing spot. beautiful breeze and captivating star gazing. I would bring insects replant especially if near the water, there was all sorts of bites and itching when we first arrived. Showers are nice. very quiet when we went. only 3 other people were there. Would recommend for a family or a relaxing getaway but country side vibe.

The camping experience with the animals was absolute delight, especially the animal's interaction was delightful for our grandchildren. However, one minor feedback we found it inconvenient that rubbish bins were not readily available near the recycling bins at our camp site. But we will definitely return to this heavenly little haven.

10/10 very recommend! Stay there for one night on my way to the south, it is a beautiful farm stay. I was luckily only person there that day. The bathroom, kitchen all the public area is sooo clean and well maintained. And the I’ll cry for the pressure of the hot shower! Better than my own place ! I also met two pony horses and two donkeys, they are all so chill and friendly! Tho I drive my lil car there, the access is very rocky had to go extra slow

Weekend Trip to Gundy Getaway
I enjoyed our one night stay around the fireplace.
The grounds are mowed and flat and the shower and toilet clean and tidy.
It was nice to hear the sounds of water running over the rocks in the river which is a very pretty part of the property.
We enjoyed this property and would recommend to any visitors that want a quiet stopover.

What a great campsite! Callan was really lovely and super accommodating for us. An amazing host all around and always stopped for a chat when he saw us exploring the land. The site was beautiful and clean. Animals were friendly and you got lots of opportunities to pat and feed them! there was lots to explore and places to see within the site. we loved going for swims in the lake and it was nice and quiet for all of us. We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to visit again! We recommend this site if you love peaceful walks, seeing lots of animals, going for swims, and staying somewhere quiet and peaceful!

We really enjoyed this place. Kym was the best host. Communication great and nothing was too hard. Very helpful and friendly. The layout is cosy but great. We were surprised how much we enjoyed staying there. Plenty of animal life. Lots of birds chirping away. Grass was actually lawn 👍. We didn’t intend to spend a lot of time on site as we had a function to attend. But we did laze around for most of 2 days of our 4 days. Also……
Close to town (Hervey Bay)
Best part is security!
So unlike caravan parks and the like this property is secure. Also gated. So when we went out, we felt comfortable leaving things in and around the van as they were.
All in all we will go back there when we visit again. Certainly recommend ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Sasja’s place was fantastic! We had a nice private camp spot with a good amount of shade and all the basic amenities you could need including a camp kitchen - access to fridge, power outlets and BBQ. Mouse the dog was our immediate best friend. My daughter loved patting the horses and tagging along for feeding time. Sasha and her husband were great to chat to and were great with all the inquisitive questions coming their way from a curious preschooler! We felt very welcome.

Where to go
Fraser Coast
Maryborough is the gateway to the Fraser Coast, where you can take your pick of sandy beaches and island getaways. Cruise out to Fraser Island to enjoy 4WD beach drives, bushwalks, and beachside camping, or head to the whale-watching capital of Hervey Bay.
Capricorn Coast
North of Hervey Bay, the bohemian beach town of Bundaberg is famous for its sea turtles, seafood restaurants, and Bundaberg Rum factory. Check into a beachside holiday park, set sail on a cruise around the Southern Great Barrier Reef, or continue along the coast to Agnes Water and Seventeen Seventy.
Sunshine Coast
The golden shores of the Sunshine Coast lie just south of Maryborough. Zip along the beaches of the Great Sandy National Park in a 4WD, then camp out by the beachside, or head to neighboring Noosa Heads for a surf lesson. Further south, popular attractions include the Eumundi Markets and Australia Zoo, and a hike around the Glass House Mountains is a must.
When to go
Maryborough’s mild climate makes it a year-round destination, but the biggest crowds come in July for the annual Mary Poppins festival—book your campsite well in advance if visiting at this time. July through October is the time for whale-watching along the Fraser Coast, but coastal towns are busiest in summer (December through February).
Know before you go
- The Fraser Coast has good public transport links, but having your own transport is useful for exploring the coast and national parks.
- Maryborough has several shops where you can pick up camping gear and stock up on supplies before heading out to the islands.
- Fire bans are common in Queensland during summer and dry periods, so check local recommendations before lighting a campfire.
