We really enjoyed this place. Kym was the best host. Communication great and nothing was too hard. Very helpful and friendly. The layout is cosy but great. We were surprised how much we enjoyed staying there. Plenty of animal life. Lots of birds chirping away. Grass was actually lawn 👍. We didn’t intend to spend a lot of time on site as we had a function to attend. But we did laze around for most of 2 days of our 4 days. Also……
Close to town (Hervey Bay)
Best part is security!
So unlike caravan parks and the like this property is secure. Also gated. So when we went out, we felt comfortable leaving things in and around the van as they were.
All in all we will go back there when we visit again. Certainly recommend ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

We stayed at a Hipcamp just outside Hervey Bay and thoroughly enjoyed the calm, secluded setting. The campsite is nestled within a beautifully curated garden, complete with sculptures and a tranquil dam, creating an almost idyllic place to rest and reset.
Kym is a warm and genuinely caring host who has clearly put a lot of thought into the space. It feels welcoming without being intrusive, striking the perfect balance for a hosted stay. The location is ideal, only a short drive to Hervey Bay and perfectly positioned for trips over to K’gari, with shops, fuel and the barge all close by.
A lovely, peaceful stay that showcases exactly why Hipcamp experiences are so special. Highly recommended for those seeking quiet, character and thoughtful hosting.

We had a very peaceful and relaxing 3 nights on kym’s lovely property . Kym was a lovely host and we felt happy to travel the 7 min into Hervey Bay knowing our van was secure while we did our sight seeing . We would not hesitate to recommend this camp and will definitely return next time we are in the area 😊

This is the second time at Squids for us. Kim is very accommodating, nothing is a problem.
Very secure, close enough to Hervey Bay to use as a base. At night you might hear two cars pass by, other than that it's the sounds of nature.

It’s a beautiful spot, clean, well maintained and surrounded by wildlife and horses which makes it feel extra special.

Although very wet, We had a lovely stay. Kym is very accommodating and brought over an activity for the kids during the wet weather. Very beautiful and secure stay and only a few minutes to her way bay one way or K’Gari barge the other. Thanks Kym we will certainly be back.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay in our caravan off grid. Kym was a gracious host and we loved the horses, birds and other wildlife by the dam with a campfire at night. A very well kept property and great communications throughout the booking and stay. Will be back again.

Loved this spot!
We camped here over Easter for 5 nights and it was a good spot to spend with our toddler.
Not only was Kym super accommodating, she also provided us with access to water and unlimited wood/fire pit. (Our little guy loved taking our trolley to go collect the wood.
We we're camped near the horses and we had kangaroos/baby ducks visit us daily.
We were 5mins away from town, beach, parks and shops if needed.
The property was also decorated with amazing statues of wildlife. Kym added a lot of Easter decor with lights.
If you want a simple spot, easy to entertain young kids. This is your spot!

A great spot to camp. Quiet and we were lucky to have the spot to ourselves. Kym was a great host and made us very welcome. She had great tips for local fishing spots ( tho the recent wet wasn’t making the fish bite) close and convenient to Hervey Bay. Clancy has definitely made a new friend !

It's a fantastic spot to base yourself for visiting Hervey Bay. The host was very kind and provided us with all the info we needed to have a great stay. The property is well-kept and secure with a locked gate as entry. We felt really safe here. Horses were friendly and the duck and roos visited daily. Great for kids.
