Welcome to Kurrajong Camp located in Mothar Mountain, just 10 minutes south-east of Gympie. We offer two campsites, each giving you exclusive use of the immediate private area.

"Kurrajong Meadows" is a large open grassed campground that is flat and spacious, north facing with excellent solar access and a sheltered forest to the southern creek side. A flowing creek is a short stroll from the campsite via a rainforest pathway. The area is perfect for large and small groups or those wishing for their own self-contained space.
"Hideaway Camp" is located down a slight incline to privacy. This site is perfect for couples, families and small groups. Creek access is via an embankment and the water is suitable for paddling.
Each site has a firepit as camping just isn't camping without a fire. 🔥(Or "bush TV" as we call it!) Firewood is available for purchase.
Ask us about our Camper Trailer for hire. Includes setup and pack down, so you can come straight from work or home and get into your relaxing camping break immediately. BYO queen bed linen, pillows and towels.
We allow pets 🐕 "off-lead" and offer pet sitting for a small fee per hour.
We very happily welcome groups and celebrations and are available to assist where possible. Portaloo hire, 9x3m gazebos, generator, rubbish collection etc.
Note:
We are a self-contained site - campers must bring their own water and toilet facility.
There are train lines in the area and campers may hear distance trains at times.

There are various walking tracks across the creek, with beautiful views. Keep your eyes peeled for kingfishers, parrots, and other little birds or maybe even a platypus! If you want a slightly steeper trek, then head to the top of the mountain where you'll find expansive views overlooking the entire area and onto vast forestry.
We run a few head of cattle and horses on the property which will occasionally mosey into view, and say hello over the fence.
All campers need to be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, and we kindly ask you to take all waste when you go.

Terrific spot and would highly recommend if you want some peace and quiet. There are 2 seperate camps, we stayed at Hideaway for 2 weeks and loved it. We would recommend staying at the Meadow if you have smaller children or mobility issues as access to the creek is more level, but we found The Hideaway Perfect for our stay. The sites are beautifully maintained and owners Kev and Tanya have great communication and are terrific hosts.
The camp is only a short drive from Gympie, so accessing supplies is super quick and easy.

Wonderful place to camp with the family. Great little play area for the kids with animals to feed and pet. The camp sites are spacious and Susan and her family are very welcome. Highly recommend to stay here.

It was really quiet spacious just enough shade to stay cool. And only 12min to Marybrough. Owen and Wendy are very friendly and made it a point to make sure we were well looked after. Will definitely be going back. 10 out of 10. And dog friendly

I stayed on site 1 a true slice of paradise . Will be coming back and bringing my dog with me, can’t recommend it enough. The fishing was fun and by far the cleanest camp site I’ve been too. 2 other camp sites but far away enough to feel like you have the place to yourself. You won’t regret it .

Amazing location and so peaceful and quiet. Great having boat access via from this site to access Tinana Creek with plenty of Australian Bass, along with Saratoga. Wendy and Owen are lovely hosts who got out of their way to ensure your stay is memorable. Will definitely be back with the family next trip.

We stayed on a powered site with our caravan so we could enjoy the air conditioning. We had a fantastic stay and so did our 2.5-year-old, who absolutely loved the animals.
Susan was an amazing host — she showed us around and even let us help feed the animals. It was lovely chatting with her about the vision for their farm stay, and it’s clear this place is only going to get better and better. Highly recommend!

The peace and quiet along with the beautiful scenery added to a fantastic 5 day stay at Creekside. The campsite had lush green grass which was well maintained and a fire pit was provided. Wood was available from Owen and Wendy who were amazing hosts. Will definitely be back.

We originally booked for 1 night and stayed for 5. We camped at the Creekside camp which was a lovely grassed area with lots of space. The area was well maintained and even had a shade shelter with table and chairs. The camp is private, quiet and with a lovely outlook over the creek and a fire pit is provided. We caught numerous catfish, which was fun, and 2 quite large lungfish which we photographed and released unharmed back into the water.
Owen and Wendy are lovely friendly hosts who were very accommodating after we had a booking hiccup with another site. We will definitely be returning.

We had a wonderful stay at Wrights on the river. It's a lovely spot with a large body of water, great for water based activities & fun for the whole family. We will be going back again! It's an excellent spot for group camping, with two large caravan/tent sites side by side. If you want to ensure privacy we would recommend booking both sites, which is what we did. Owen was very welcoming & their place is very easy to find.

Kurrajong Campground was the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous — plenty of trees, open spaces, and beautiful sunsets. It’s quiet, peaceful, and feels really private, which made it easy to relax.
The hosts were welcoming and easy to communicate with, giving clear directions and making sure we had everything we needed. The campsite itself was well-kept, with fire pits and flat areas for tents, and great value for money overall.
If you enjoy off-grid camping and don’t mind bringing your own setup, this spot is ideal. We’ll definitely be coming back!
