The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal. “We have been blessed beyond measure with a small slice of God’s wonderful creation that we would love to share with you.”

Guppy Gully is a part of a working dairy farm on the Mary River situated in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland near Kenilworth. We have 4 sites with direct river frontage for self-contained caravans, campers and tents. Most of the sites have the capacity to fit numerous vans. Fire pits are provided at all sites. All weather 2wd access road. Please note we do not have amenities or drinking water and that you need to be self-sufficient and bring everything you need with you and take out ALL Waste. For the consideration of other campers and my neighbours please be mindful of noise levels. Firewood available by the bag to purchase. Smoking discouraged for the comfort of guests. The Mary River water level is determined by rain fall. We are just 10 mins down the road from Booloumba Creek and Falls and the famous Kenilworth Bakery. Kenilworth and 10 minutes from Conondale National Park and the Booloumba Creek and Falls. The farm has been in my family for nearly 80 years, four generations and these campsites have been hosting people for a very long time. I remember staying there as a little girl with a girl guide group.

Welcome to the 'Three Mile Creek' a cattle and donkey farm. Our property is located in the beautiful Glastonbury area, which is between Gympie and Widgee. Only 9kms to local Woolworths, Fuel Station, Chemist, Pub and Bottleo. The 'Three Mile Creek' winds its way through the property, providing beautiful shady camping areas and nice water holes to cool down on a hot day. Camping areas are secluded from the main road. Sites are along the creek, out in the open paddocks, or amongst the tall stands of bamboo. All with easy access for 4WD/Campers/Caravans. We have three large dams for swimming and kayaking (kayaks provided onsite). All sites have fire pits with no shortage of firewood, fires must be contained and supervised at all times. Some sites have picnic tables. Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and camp rubbish with them on departure. Perfect place to just relax or use as a base to do day trips to explore our beautiful region and what it has to offer. Pets are most welcome, but must be supervised and on leash at night, and if livestock are around.

Our property is 4WD access. You are risking your booking and vehicle if you turn up in a 2WD or family SUV. See Extras for booking park and ride option if your vehicle is 2WD. UPDATE as of Easter 2025 - creek is flowing, grass is growing. Some of our tracks are rutted and may become slippery in wet weather. We do basic maintenance to keep access open for 4WDS. Be prepared to apply your 4WD skills. Kobble Creek West is accessible from several locations on our property boundary. Ideal for creek exploring and rock hopping. There’s even a small lagoon now awaiting. Check out the short hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience! You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk. Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars. All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. You are welcome to enjoy our off-grid camping with the expectation that facilities are minimal. NOTE: Surcharges exist for a number of circumstances, including day visitors and single-night bookings. These can be found in the Extras and must be added at the time of booking for your request to be accepted. NOTE: Please also indicate that you are 4WD and your camping platform and size as you book. Please notify us if you are camping with other campers who have booked a separate site so we can have you camping beside each other. During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings. Kayaks are provided free of charge for all campers to use in Yabba Creek. Please treat them respectfully and return them back to their launching place just below the powerlines. If you wish to bring along your own kayak, you can launch them at the walkway between campsite 8 and 9 where our camp kayaks are stored, however, cars are restricted from driving down to the water edge so you will have to carry them to the water to launch them. Please note that you are responsible for your own kayak. All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding. Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek. We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres. We have 1km of creek frontage. The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them. It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots. There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle. This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower. Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits). Firewood is available and can be delivered to your site by our local contractor. Cost is $20 for a generous load or $10 for a half load. The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure. Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation. The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more. We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section. Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

Big Fig campsite was a fantastic experience! The camp spot itself was great—clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. Tucked away behind the scrub, it felt wonderfully secluded, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. The expansive campsite is accessed via a private driveway, which added to the sense of exclusivity and privacy. Its location right next to the creek was a highlight, providing a serene backdrop. The site is flat, making it ideal for setting up tents comfortably. We pitched our extra-large 8mx4m tent at the opposite end of the big fig and fire pit to avoid smoke drifting in, which worked perfectly and had the bonus of being grassier. Despite the tent’s size, it fit comfortably within the camp spot, leaving plenty of room for our two boys to run around and play. The cozy fire pit near the fig tree added a charming touch, perfect for evening gatherings. It’s just a short 50m walk to the composting toilet and hot shower, ensuring comfort without sacrificing the natural vibe. On the afternoon of setup, an unexpected downpour hit, catching us off guard. However, Jason, the host, was incredibly caring and went out of his way to check on us, even offering alternative shelter for the night. As we’d already pitched the tent and were nearly done setting up, we politely declined, but his thoughtfulness left a lasting impression. Highly recommend Big Fig for its beautiful setting and exceptional hospitality!

Macallon farmstay blew our expectations! Not only was the camping area easily accessible, clear, flat and close to amenities but a running creek flowed through the property to listen to day and night. We were welcomed so warmly and authentically onto their farm and Michelle ensured we had everything we needed. Her tribe of boys welcomed my 2 young boys into the 'boy club' and showed them the ropes of how to be a 'farm boy'. From having access to inclusive, unlimited use of farm provided kayaks to explore their creek, to ample firewood supplied for our camp-fire memories, to up close and intimate feeding experiences- especially with the alpaccas (my favourite) and not to mention riding the very cool farm train created by Michelle to get us around. A thrill for all! A favourite of mine was the outdoor shower built in rustic farm style. Where else can you have an outdoor hot shower looking at the star-filled sky above? We created such beautiful memories that we will cherish in our hearts. Thank you for your beautiful hospitality from our family to yours. We hope to be back again soon and everyone I speak with has been hearing about this beautiful place and planning their visit too.

We camped on sites 6 & 7 with 5 adults & 5 children, the serenity was great, slight road noise but did not bother any of us at all there was a fantastic amount of bird life to listen to that over shone the cars. Kids spent a lot of time either in with the animals (ducklings were my son’s favourite) or swimming in the creek, we took little blow up boats & that was a hit! Cafe food was delicious, Moreton Bay Bugs were soooo good! Then they also had cocktails for $10 at 5pm & again so delicious. Both Steve and Ingrid were both so friendly & approachable. Only thing I’d pick on if I had to was the state of the bathrooms, old & not very clean but I will still be back despite this as the rest of the place was so good 😊

We loved our stay here! The hosts were lovely, the site is beautiful and it’s located so close to everything. We went with our 2.5 year old and 8 month old, and stayed in a tent near the creek. The 2.5 year loved playing in the creek, the petting farm and bouncy castle were also a hit. We loved the on-site cafe, which had delicious food and great coffee. We have already recommended to friends and will definitely be returning.

We loved everything about this place, The cafe is the perfect spot to sit and have a coffee or a bite to eat while you watch the children with the animals, jumping castle and playground. We ate dinner at the cafe on Saturday night and all we could say was wow! The food is sensational and the cocktails went down a treat. My partner and I stayed at Equine camp. The property was beautiful - very well maintained sites and amenities. Jason was very helpful in providing relevant information to the National Park walks given recent weather. We completed the trek to Wrattens Falls which was stunning. We enjoyed our overnight stay at Sublime camping in Kia Ora. We arrived fairly early in the day, just before lunch. We pulled up for the night amongst the orange trees and called into the awesome pub to say hello and have a drink. We decided to stay for lunch and it was a real treat. The schnitty burger and chips was huge and so yummy, loved the sauce on it. My partner was really happy with his meal too. He had the spring rolls. We had a good restful night in the orange grove and left fairly early in the morning. I’d happily come back if we pass this way again.

The Croft provides a quiet place to sit relax and take in the fresh air. Birds doing the day will provide you with the Australian bush experience with the clear skies above you at night to shine a light on how big the universe is. You will have a 5-acre area to explore during your visit with a large flat campsite area with power and water if that is what you need. The onsite caravan – BETTY – is also available for your to book if you need a bit more of a glamping holiday. Self sufficient sites are available as well in another part of The Croft property near the dam and is accessed via the main property. Options for visitors are tailored for the horse rider however you don’t need a horse to visit and enjoy what The Croft has to offer. You can also spend time with the horses here with a variety of courses and lesson times available as both extras and as part of package deals and our flag ship Back in the Saddle retreat option. Bookings are all made via HIPCAMP and require pre approval so I can make sure that horses are available if you need a retreat package and to make sure that everything will be ready for your arrival. There are many things to do in Blackbutt as well as spending some time at The Croft. Every 3rd Sunday is our market day, the renowned Blackbutt Bakery is always at your disposal and a great pub for a pub grub night. If you are a rider and have your own horse, there is also a great dressage instructor in Blackbutt – Yarralee Dressage Development – who you can book lessons with during your stay. If you are wanting more western discipline work, I can provide you with some basic instruction on patterns and ranch trail tips. The horse trails network is 500m up the road and has signage. I have access to the rail trail via private property, or otherwise you can utilise Staines Road to get into Benarkin State Forestry or the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. Kybong has "Hell Town Hotrods" as you imagine, this place is an Alladin's Cave for those into anything vintage, retro, car or petrol.... complete with a workshop for custom hotrod rebuilds. There is a neat cafe and bar on site too. Gympie is close by with the Heritage Museum, featuring the history of gold mining and industries of the area. You can learn how to pan for gold there then come back and practice in the creek. Art enthusiasts should drop in for morning tea at Chai Chai, and see what’s on exhibition at The ART POST then Gympie Region Art Gallery - both venues offer high quality exhibits and sale of artworks by our local artists. Riverdell is 166 acres located on the eastern side of the Blackall Range extending down to the Mooloolah River headwaters. Escape off grid to enjoy the peace and quiet, watch the cattle grazing in the paddocks, spot the native birdlife or cuddle up by the fire in your own secluded paradise. Sunrises are spectacular while sunsets by open campfire are also a highlight of the Riverdell experience. Take a short walk up the creek, west of The Junction carpark above the camp site to see some scenic rockpools and waterfalls in the cool of the rainforest canopy. Walking boots are highly recommended. There is plenty to do and see in the area including exploring nearby Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Gardeners Falls, Kondalilla National Park, Australia Zoo, indulge in a tasting at the Barrel at Clouds Vineyard opposite the front gate, stroll through Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World or take a short drive to some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. Access during daylight hours via 4WD ONLY with AT or MT off-road Tyres, RT Tyres are not permitted due to the steepness of the tracks. Off-road camper trailers are suitable for some campsites (max weight 1500kg and max length 5m restrictions apply). Caravans are not permitted due to the steep terrain. A Portaloo is located between the Ocean View 1 and 2 sites and a second Portaloo is located centrally and within walking distance to The Knoll, Upper Plateau, Valley View and Little Bunya campsites. There are no facilities at The Junction, and you MUST be self-contained. Riverdell is dog friendly, off leash if trained, and recommend tick treatment before arrival. For safety, no arrivals after dark unless arranged prior.

If your preferred site is not available , shoot us a message , we may have an alternative for you:) Our rules are really not rocket science, don't take things that are not yours, use the toilets instead of our bush, don't cut down trees or damage things, that includes damaging trees, don't leave anything but ash in the firepit ,make sure the fire is fully extinguished, remove your rubbish and respect and consider your fellow campers and our neighbours. Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety. We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups ( unless you would like to book out the entire property) Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush so you will feel like you are the only ones there. You are welcome to have a campfire in the provided fire pit or drum when there is no fire ban in place, however due to the unique surroundings we offer, we do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety. You are most welcome to use your own off the ground firepit anywhere in your site. Please read site descriptions carefully as we have sites that are substantially different in access, privacy , level ground and distance to a toilet. We affectionately call our property "The Rustic Resort". This is a tribute to the rusty water tanks and dilapidated animal shelters that were left behind when we moved in. Our farm was once part of a thriving rural property in the 1920's. It used to be a dairy farm and then a banana farm. We now raise goats and cattle. Our property is dog friendly to responsible dog owners, we are happy for your pups to be off lead as long as you are the one in control. We have a large farm dam that never runs dry, (NO fishing please as we use this for livestock and swimming, and the last thing we need is hooks in peoples or animals feet. ) It is wonderful for a refreshing swim, there is a ladder to make it easier to get into the dam and during the summer months there are floating noodles for your use. Feel free to bring your paddle boards and canoes. We are centrally located to explore the Glass house mountains ( 20mins), Stoney creek (15min), Rocky holes (35min), Bribie island (40 min), Woodford (10min), Mt Mee (10min), Montville, Maleny (40min) and much, much more. We are 10 minutes from Woodford and the wonderful Woodford Folk Festival. "White Ridge Farm" in Elimbah is only 20 minutes from us, and the kids will love the interactive farm experience and cuddling the baby animals. Wamuran town centre has has an IGA, a wonderful butcher, bakery, bottle shop, 24 hour servo, a rural supply shop, fish and chip shop, a new pizza place and a Thai/Indian take away that is sensational. Wamuran holds a local country market every 4th Saturday per month from 7am to midday. There is a Woodfire pizza van in town 2 out of 4 weekends, look up Deadwood Pizza Wamuran to check the dates. We love them. If you would like to stay longer but feel like you need a shower occasionally, there is a public pool in Woodford and a public pool on King Street towards Caboolture , both are about a 10/15 minute drive from us. Wamuran is less than an hour north from the city, yet you will feel like you are far away. There is a total of 1km creek frontage on Yabba Creek Farm for your to explore. Attractions include kayaking - provided and are free to use, hiking in adjacent Imbil state forest and wildlife watching. Platypus are frequently sighted in the Yabba creek. Lungfish can also be viewed while kayaking or snorkelling. Koalas, wallabies, gonnas and an abundance of bird life are also commonly sighted. Dogs are welcome on very strict conditions as we have farm animals including, chickens, horses and a turkey, so must remain secure on a leash at all times. Our spacious level sites are surrounded by lush paddocks and beautiful scenery. Guests can also bring their horses to Stirlings Crossing as Imbil State forest is perfect for horse back trail riding. Horse yards can be set up on request. The Tom Quilty has been held here twice before and will be held here again in 2026. Other endurance events are also held here during the year. There is an extra $10 charge per horse per night. Unfortunately there are no horses available here to hire. It is just over 100km north of Brisbane. The town of Imbil is only 6km away and has a recently opened IGA with all the supplies you need. There is also a bakery, 2 coffee shops, a pub with great meals, and a well equipped petrol station. There are markets every Sunday in the Main Street. Borumba Dam is 4.5kms up the road. It is perfect for boating enthusiasts who want to fish or do various water sports. The property has a large modern ammenities block. * Ladies toilet and shower amenities x 5 * Mens toilet and shower amenities x 4 * Disabled/Family bathroom x 2 There are limited powered sites available on request. There is access to the Yabba Creek for kayaking, swimming and fishing. You can also access the Imbil State forest either by 4wd, trail bike or mountain bike. Pets are welcome but must be on a lead as there are horses in paddocks on the property. This is a breeding and training horse facility so could guests please stay away from fenced off paddocks and the large horse complex. It is also requested for guests to please take all rubbish with you on departure and leave the area as you found it.

During the day you can enjoy a walk through the pine forest, and in the afternoon experience the incredible sunset vistas from our hill or from the luxurious outdoor bath. By night, sit by the firepit and gaze up at the stars while listening to the sounds of nature on the fig tree swinging chair. The outdoor bathtub is available for hire for the evening with prior notice, and will come with beautiful dried flowers, natural bath salts charged at $60 per use. We recommend our guests bring swimmers for the bath. During your stay you will have access to our outdoor shower and composting toilet with a view. These facilities are shared by 1 other person or if another camper stays, and we kindly request that our guests are mindful of water consumption as we are on tank water. Connection of power and water is an option for extra. Our campsites are also dog friendly as we love having your fur babies visit! However if you are bringing your furry companions with you, please ensure they are friendly with other dogs, kept on a lead and supervised at all times, as our baby chickens and miniature pigs like to explore during the day along with my dog who will constantly want to be around. We’re just a short drive to Eumundi, Pomona or Cooroy for cute shops and markets, or venture 25 minutes to Noosa for a day at the beach and a variety of quality restaurants. Close to the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Atkinsons, Wivenhoe and Somerset dams, markets every weekend at Esk and Fernvale (20 min to drive to either), and one hour to either Brisbane or Toowoomba! This location is fantastic to use as a base to travel from, if you’re looking to explore all that the Somerset Region and Lockyer Valley has to offer. The sites are located on predominantly flat land, which should make for a quick and easy set up so you can get on with enjoying your stay! If you are looking to bring your bicycles or horses to ride the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, we are 1.7km from the entry point. We have two yards with shelters if you are bringing horses. Valoros Arabians is 1.7km from the centre of town, which has a small grocery store, a service station/takeaway shop, a pharmacy and pub; where you can get a delicious meal and if you come at the right time; a live band! This is a working farm with horses, free-range chooks and other animals. Please ensure your dogs are contained if they’ve not been introduced to other animals.
