You drive through the grid and a peace descends as you take in the sights of this lush horse property. Situated in the Hinterland between Maleny and Kenilworth, the property is approx. 60 acres of timbered pasture, with the Mary River as the boundary. There is plenty of natural bushland and the river to explore or for quiet contemplation listening to the sounds of cows, sheep, goats and chickens in the distance for those who wish to spend a quieter time with us. Behind us is the Bellthorpe Range for 4WD, bushwalking, mountain biking, or riding your own horse. There's fishing under the Conondale Bridge, 10 minutes away and if you want to drive a little further north on your way to Kenilworth, there's a variety of State Forests and National Parks to enjoy. Kenilworth hosts quite a lot of festivals, including the Kenilworth Rodeo, so it's country living at it's best. In the opposite direction is Maleny, a trendy town, with lots of day visitors and coffee shops up and down the street. If you come in May, there's the Maleny Show and there's always historic places to visit along the escarpment with magnificent views down to the Coast. PLEASE NOTE: FISHING IS BANNED IN THE MARY RIVER FROM 1 AUGUST TO 1 NOVEMBER ANNUALLY AS THIS IS FISH BREEDING SEASON. We (and the fish) appreciate your understanding and co-operation.

Waterfall site is a flat grassy space on the banks of the river, directly across from a permanent rocky waterfall. In warmer weather you can swim across and sit on the rocks to let the sight and sounds of surging water wash over you. So much fun. The camping site is quite large and flat. Plenty of room for vehicles, tents. There is a small firepit but no shade. A short distance away you can reach walking tracks that meander through the property and spend the rest of your day exploring the river, the parklands and the bush. You will need to wear proper walking boots and take a camera. So many beautiful things to see.

Riverside Camp

Riverside Camp Site (Site 1) is on a flat and lush grassy bank facing the tree lined Mary River. A short step down to a sandy beach where kids can play in and out of the shallow, crystal clear water. As the sun goes down you can sit around a campfire on the beach, marvel at the sights and sounds of the bush and gaze at the star-studded evening sky. Peace and quiet descend as you relax and let the rest of the world go by. There is plenty of room for vehicle parking. You can explore the property along freshly mown walking trails or take a short walk up to the horse paddock to say hello to the friendly horses. Carrots are a particular favorite. Exploring, swimming, canoeing, fishing, panning for gold or just relaxing by the river are a part of this beautiful location. You will need to be self-contained for showers and toilet amenities as these are not available at this site.. Please take your waste/rubbish with you. You may see some other campers further down the riverbank but they will be far enough away not to disturb your peace and tranquility.

Reflective Pools

For those who seek privacy, peace and tranquility, Reflective Pools is the place to be. It's at the end of the camping area, right on a stretch of riverbank, with shade trees offering a perfect place to sit and gaze at reflections in the water or savor the serenity for self-reflection. There is ample parking and if there are other campers, they are at least 100 metres away. Often you will have the place to yourself. You can swim, canoe, bushwalk or just spend your time relaxing. Mornings are beautiful as you waken to the sounds of our diverse birdlife. Outside, if you are early enough, you'll see the morning mist rising from the river until it disperses into the warmth of the day. Nights are still cool and if you look up, you'll see the most amazing starfilled sky. Campfires are ok but either out in the open (away from the trees) or down on the sandy bank of the river. Enjoy your stay with us and please be aware, there are no bathroom amenities here. You will need to be self-contained, take your waste with you and leave no trace. Pets are welcome.

Waterfall Site

You camp opposite a permanent waterfall, on a flat grassy space on the tree-lined banks of the Mary River. A short walk down the bank takes you to a sandy shore and the shallow and crystal clear waters of the Mary. The river is not wide at this point and you can walk/swim across and sit on the rocks to let the gushing water spill over you, like having your own cold water spa.

Reflective Pools
What a great spot. Hosts communicated well. Campsite down near the river was private and peaceful. Birds, horses and serenity. Dog loved swimming in the river. Thanks for letting us stay.

Beautiful camp site overlooking the river, nice flat ground for a tent & gazebo. Chris & Peter were such lovely & helpful hosts and their 2 friendly happy fur babies Joy & Archie. Loved the horses too. Thanks for the firewood it was great. Will def be back to stay. Thanks guys x

We loved staying at the Waterfall site in Conondale Valley Farm. Chris and Peter were super welcoming and helpful. The creek is so beautiful and clear, I wish it had been warmer so we could have gone for a swim, we'll definitely be back in Summer. The site drained very well after they'd had some rain, so it was no worries getting our 2wd campervan in and out.

Camped for my wife’s birthday, Peter and Chris are lovely, both their pups were cute as, we had little Archie wait with us all through breakfast (snuck a snack or two) until check out when he led us to the exit - we met the horses, explored, wonderful experience - can’t wait to come visit again! Thank you for opening your home to us!

Beautiful spot with large area of mown grass right on the river. Chris was very welcoming and helpful on arrival. Water is not deep with sandy patches so would be great with younger kids in warmer weather. We will return.

This property is the most beautiful riverfront I’ve ever visited. The day walk around the river front of the property is nothing short of stunning. The hosts were amazing and made sure we are welcomed, and had all the info we needed. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks to Christine for opening her property to us.

Paradise in Nature

Chris and Peter were fantastic hosts on what I can only describe as a slice of paradise. We explored along the paths in the lush forest, watched horses graze in the paddocks and swam around fish in the river. We saw black cockatoos fly over in the morning and evening and then shooting stars fly over as we laid on the river beach with a fire at night. We were visited by Chris and Peters dogs; Joy and Archie and enjoyed having the company of two well mannered and behaved dogs who kept us company often following us on walks. Our stay was absolutely magnificent and I can't wait to return
