Campers are encouraged to meander along the continually changing River and explore its many secluded swimming holes and enjoy the abundant wildlife that cohabitates with the Angus/Wagyu cow herd. Direct access to the neighbouring National Parks and State Forests offers an array of day trips to hikers, mountain bikers, or horse riders where they can discover the natural treasures of Basket Swamp and Boonoo Boonoo Falls, Woolool Woolooni, among others. For those who require a little more comfort, and lets face it we all do at times, the Mindoo Cabin is available. Featuring three bedrooms, open plan living/dining/kitchen,and a shady deck overlooking the River the cabin sleeps eight and still allows visitors to partake in all the adventures that "Mindoo" offers with the benefit of a comfortable rest when the day is done. Unfortunately horse riding is no longer covered by our insurance policy. You are able to bring your horses, however evidence of your own insurance policy must be provided. Be as adventurous or as restful as you please as both options are freely available. Mountain Biking, Hiking, or just riding your hammock and relaxing we are sure you will enjoy your time at "Mindoo". All of our river sites are designated and are space apart. As most of our sites are on the river and have farm tracks to access, if it is wet we may have to move you to a different site. 4wds are recommended for all sites and are required for some site. Bajimba Eco Camp is part of our stunning family property nestled in the surrounds of Mt Bajimba in the Northern Tablelands of NSW, 40 minutes south east of Tenterfield. Historically known as a resting point for bullock teams hauling timber from the surrounding forests on their way to a saw mill in the lower valley, Bajimba is now home to Merv & Carey. We are just over 1080 metres above sea level, with 57 acres of eucalypt & grass tree forests, grass pastures, and a small (but mighty) organic farm. Accommodation options include "West View “situated at our highest elevation with incredible views from the deck, and "Bullock Camp" which can accommodate tents, caravans or motor homes. When making travel arrangements, note we are in NSW and therefore are 1 hour ahead of QLD during day light savings months. It is encouraged if possible that guests arrive before 6pm to ensure a smooth and stress free check in to camp. Being able to experience the sunset is all a part of your Bajimba stay! Amenities for both sites include an ablution block with hot shower and composting toilet, with steam sauna and wood-fired hot tub available by appointment. Please call at time of booking if hot tub and sauna facilities are required (especially for same-days bookings). Wood fired hot tubs require four hours to heat appropriately. Also note that all toiletries are provided to ensure that our critical farm ecosystem is maintained. Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views. As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with. Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

Tucked away in a tranquil, secluded valley, this hidden gem is surrounded by Long Creek to the south and Findon Creek to the west, while the northern edge extends to the Dedicated Wilderness of the Border Ranges National Park. This much-loved family-owned farm has a rich history, transitioning from a dairy farm to a beef property. Today, it flourishes with a bio-diverse planting of native trees and a joinery workshop crafting designer furniture. Cabin at Valley's End is our flagship accommodation at Figtree Farm. Having 3-bedrooms and 3 bathrooms it is an ideal place for a relaxing weekend. The cabin has flat ground on 2 sides which allows for additional campers (up to 20 people). In wet weather, 2WD and AWD may need to park a short distance downhill from the cabin. In addition we offer 3 creek-side camp sites which have plenty of room for large groups; they are all situated on well drained, grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites. Also in wet conditions they are not suitable for large caravans (in excess of 21 feet) unless you have some serious towing power (Landrover or RAM, for example). Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional call of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Wiangaree is 15 minutes away and Kyogle is a 30 minute drive south. For those who enjoy a game of tennis there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall. Figtree Farm at Findon Creek promises opportunities for contemplation, relaxation and fun and it is our wish that you will have many happy memories of your visit here.

To the West there are hundreds of kilometres of Forestry and National Park roads through some of the most spectacular forested mountain country east of the Coastal Range. The Clyde River Berry Farm is just minutes down the road. Local fish and chips, great coffee and handmade bread is 25mins drive at Burrill Lake. Some of the best restaurants and bars on the coast are less than 40 minutes drive at Milton and Mollymook. If you are looking to relax and recharge in nature or explore amazing country, then Brooman is it.

I cherish the cleanliness of the river and surrounds and wish to be able to share this special environment with others who care to preserve all it offers. You can explore the property along the tracks, paddle, swim or fish in the river, enjoy the fauna, wildlife and birdlife. Located not far from Braidwood, a town steeped in history, with good shopping, coffee shops and great food. Sloping to flat land amongst the Scribbly Gum trees offering a number of sites and walks through the property. It provides both sun and shade. Access is good for vans of any size along a track through the bushland. Lovely swimming spots in the Mongalowe River, beautiful clear water, and several lovely bushwalks around the property. There is only Telstra reception available in this area. We offer 7 different sites and the maximum stay is 7 nights.

Sit back and relax around the campfire whilst toasting a marshmallow or some damper. This campsite offers a unique heptagonal toilet (no shower yet but its on the way). Colo River is 30 mins away, a clear waterhole is 10 min drive (4wd only- hosts can transport if available), the mouth of a hiking trail to the National Park is on the property, the main township of Bilpin is close by with the baker, fruit and veggie picking, Mountain Bells Cafe (host recommendation), apple pies galore and Melange restaurant , the markets are on Saturday morning 10-12 noon at the local hall and there is a free meditation group 9am Sunday at the monastery. With so much to do you will need more than one night or plan a return visit to the amazing Mountain Lagoon Hideaway at Bilpin! We can also offer massage and reiki treatments on site as a 'nature immersion' experience or if you prefer it can be in the privacy of a massage studio (10 mins away), guided nature and wildlife walks/sunset walks or longer hikes, professional ecology tours, fire twirling lessons or performance and African drumming lessons, games for the kids, local produce hampers, eggs and BBQS (with notice and if hosts are available). This is a great little multi-container based off grid pad with everything to keep the ladies happy “hot shower” and kids happy fire - marshmallows - but still a feeling of being remote with no neighbours or noise. John don’t develop the place further- it will loose it’s magic if you can see or hear other visitors. Would visit again we all had a great weekend, even with the highway closure.

We had an amazing time at Trickling Waters! Truely private and tucketed away into nature right beside the running creek. Everything you could need was provided making our stay so comfortable! The weather wasn't on our side for our stay but the tent was so cosy that it was never an issue, we just bundled up on the deck and in the tent listening to the rain and creek. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Fern Valley Ranch

Our second time staying at Fern Valley Ranch but this time we brought the village and booked out the bus, new tiny home and surrounding camp sites which catered well for all families with varying requirements. Was a thoroughly enjoyable stay with clean and accessible amenities and plenty of activities for the kids - manageable hike to the private waterfall, farm tractor tour, daily farm fresh eggs, orchard walk and of course, fire! HUGE shout out to Jiji who was so patient and accomodating throughout the booking process, with lightening speed responses. Would highly recommend and looking forward to our next stay.

Weekend Trip to Wollombi Springs

Robert is a great bloke who takes looking after his guests seriously! From putting the fire and kettle on before we arrived, to making sure solar batteries were fully charged, or giving a walkie talkie guided tour as we drove in - Robert made sure we were comfortable and settled in. The shack is basic but functional with everything you need to cook up a feed and stay warm after exploring outdoors. It is ‘rustic’ so if spider webs or saw dust are on your no list then maybe book a hotel... The grounds are beautiful, we lost count of the different types of fungi we spotted, and I’ve never seen more wombat holes in my life. The bird song was amazing in the morning, but the best part was the outdoor bath under the stars. A great place that I’m keen to return to some day.

The lodging was incredibly lovely and had plenty to discover in it. Campfire area is perfectly placed for an early morning fire or a comfy sunset. Plenty of animals to go observe and enjoy if you're interested as well as a lovely mix of farm and bush area :) Definitely coming back in the future!

Weekend Trip to Scribbly Gum secluded bush camping

Really enjoyed our two night stay at The Shack, large amount of firewood provided which warmed the shack perfectly on the cold and frosty winter nights. Really handy to have the kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook with, just bring your own food etc. Perfect escape to enjoy my 60th birthday. Lyrebirds were visiting us constantly, thanks for having us Phil, will be back for sure.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Trickling Waters in a beautiful glamping tent nestled right alongside Commissioners Creek. This is a truly private and tucked-away gem in the Mount Commissioners Creek area of the Mount Warning region, surrounded by lush nature that makes you feel miles from anywhere. The gentle, tranquil sound of the creek was soothing and created the perfect backdrop for unwinding and relaxing after busy days exploring the region. Everything felt peaceful, secluded, and restorative — the perfect spot for a family escape or a quiet recharge in nature.

Stunning place just like the photos. Constant sound of the river which we loved, made for deep and restful sleeps. Fires under starry skies, private and quiet, even gets the afternoon sun in winter. Owner’s friendly and helpful, wood on hand to purchase, we had an axe which was useful for kindling but had forgotten paper, so appreciated them giving us firestarters. Great area to explore, walks etc. loved it!
