I absolutely fell in love with this container cabin overlooking the mountains. I originally booked for 3 nights but ended up adding an extra night so I could enjoy the pure serenity for a little longer.
Next time, I’d take a mini chainsaw for collecting wood for the fire pits, as there’s so much around to gather in addition to taking a few bags. I’d also recommend taking hiking pants and boots if you plan on wandering around the property, as some parts are a little overgrown, naturally.
I did notice the wheelbarrow tyre was flat after collecting some wood, which was a bit annoying, but I ended up just driving around and loading it into the boot instead.
I loved waking up to the morning mist and the birds singing. Next time I’d definitely take a 4x4 so I could explore more of the property and nearby tracks, as the dirt roads are steep and quite narrow in places.
I took pre-made curry and made a stew over the fire pit, so I didn’t really use the inside kitchen much, as cooking outdoors on the fire pit was far more fun. You do need to bring your own cast iron pot though if you want to do this type of outdoor cooking. I did have my own, but there were heat protection gloves there for this.
John, the host was friendly and super quick to respond to all of my inquiries leading up to my trip.
All in all, I would absolutely rebook this place.
