Great secluded spot on edge of State Forest but still close enough to Echuca/Moama for any necessities or activities. A bit of a walk to Murray River but the on-site cow trough/dip pool was available to cool off in. Plenty of firewood supplied in each paid for barrow load. A beautiful black lab may come visiting. Hosts very friendly and easy going. We’ll be back.

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at the truffle farm. The farm animals were friendly and an extra excitement for the the kids. Perfect location not far from the pub and the river and perfectly peaceful and quiet. Tricia was an exceptional host and took the time to show us around and explain all about truffles. Portaloo was very handy- Just remember toilet paper and your own water to flush! Sites had beautiful picnic tables and fire pits. Looking forward to returning.

Beautiful little shack in a beautiful location on the riverside. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the evening fire with a good wood supply provided by Phil, very considerate. Highly recommend it if you like a cosy cottage with basic provisions.

upgraded the facilities from the last time i went, even though i loved it before now its even better. The road down has been smoothed down and my Audi A5 survived the decent. They now have toilets not the porterloo ones. It was beautiful and peaceful, the river and abundance of wood for making a nice fire was delightful. I look forward to coming back a lot sooner now.

We had a great time staying there. Very friendly, communicative and helpful owners. The farm is big and the surrounding is beautiful. We were able to walk around the farm and it was peaceful and tranquil. As this is a working farm, you can sometimes see and hear tractors and trucks during the day but they never came near to the camp-sites. There are also a few working dogs(all friendly) but they do not roam into the campsites freely. This site 2 is closer to the toilets and shower facilities than the communal fire place which was great for us. Beatrice suggested for us to pitch the tent just in between 2 trees which gave us some shade for our dining area and a chance to hang the hammock. There is also a bbq area just beside one of the trees.

Weekend Trip to BAJIMBA Eco Camping and Farm Stay

This place is AMAZING! The tent is beautifully furnished with absolutely everything you would want, wood stove, rugs on the floor, the quality of sheets and towels excellent, even supplies cutlery, tea, coffee, fresh eggs, games etc, the only thing you need to bring is your food and drinks. The sauna, hot tub and bathroom amenities are lovely, even supplying toiletries. The view is second to none, you can see for miles. Merv really goes above and beyond for you, but at the same time gives you 100% privacy. Wish we could have stayed longer honestly!

Other campgrounds are available near the entry gate that don't require a creek crossing for access and toilets are available on some of them. One side of the property is bound by Emu Creek and the other by Gerard Creek, both creeks have enough water with some permanent deep water holes for all year activities. Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m deep waterfall, nature at it's best. The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road. Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away. Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km. Once a working cattle property, in the 90's was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise. Two properties combined with close to 2800 acres, fronting Paddy’s Flat Rd for 2km and extends 7km to the back fence bordering a 22000 acre cattle property. The front section is undulating with plantation forest (spotted gum) and bushland, towards the back it has mountains, steep terrain and millions of trees with spectacular views and great hiking tracks.

Once a much larger property, we purchased our 120-acre (50-hectare) in 1984 as a means to live sustainably and raise a family. Living in our shed whilst we prepared the garden, put in watering infrastructure and built our house which we finally moved in when our daughter was 6 months old in 1990. Over the ensuing years we have continued to increase biodiversity on the property and set it up so we can live sustainably, harvesting our own water, electricity and food. If your lucky you could get a hamper of our product when there is sufficient in season. With the increased biodiversity you will find that in the mornings and evenings kangaroos and wallabies will visit with the occasional echidna, rabbit and hare; and to forget the large array of bird life - that may wake you early in the morning with the songs. This campsite is set on lovely grassy open areas interspersed with gum trees. The sunrise looks spectacular near the dam, when the trees give off a lovely glow. The main paddock has a Geodome, a shared space for relaxing in. With all that space you can park and set up camp anywhere in the paddock. There is access to drinking water, toilets, and a hot shower. Around the dome is a firepit, drinking water and a camp kitchen. The firepit features an Argentinian BBQ and a plate for cooking. The kitchen has plates, cups, cutlery, and other bits and pieces for you to use. We also allow for your pets to stay onsite, this also includes horses. If you want exclusive use of the paddocks - refer to Group Bush Retreat.

Tuntable Bush Camp

The infamous Protestors Falls on Terania Ck Rd is 20mins away on beautiful winding roads. Eclectic Nimbin is 15 mins up a scenic winding road, and Lismore is 25 mins away for all your larger shopping needs. The popular Channon Craft Markets is on every 2nd Sunday of the month.

The farm is almost 200 acres which features sustainable pastures and plenty of animals to see and feed such as miniature goats, a donkey, Texas Longhorn cattle, chooks, rabbits, sheep and many more depending on the season and what is happening on the farm. We are happy to introduce you to the animals and share some information about them. We have three crazy Tenterfield Terriers; Maggie, Bart and Beagle who will occasionally visit you for a cuddle or a sit by the fire. Your socialised pets are welcome but must be on a leash at all times and campers must clean up after their pets. What we offer..... We offer animal spotting night tours (see Extras or ask your host) OR adopt and care for the farms guinea pig and rabbits for the duration of your stay. That’s if your parents agree!!! Don’t miss the opportunity to try and purchase some unique handmade “Eurah” soap (indigenous ingredient) made on site by Belinda. Farm produce is available when in season and abundance, this may include: - organic free-range eggs, fruit, vegetables and herbs. A septic toilet and creative outdoor shower are within walking distance to all campsites for a small fee (see Extras or ask your host) otherwise your camp must be self-contained. Bimbimbi River Camp

Bimbimbi is located at the free flowing, clear beginning of the Murray River, at Tintaldra. We have 5 separate sites. Each site is for a single group, so you know you will only have yourselves in close proximity. Each site has access to the river, although The Fishing Hole, River Red Gums and The Big Bend have better access than The Willows and The Old Pump Hole. Swimming, fishing for Murray Cod, hiking along the river bank (we have 3km of frontage), bird watching, relaxing are typical things to do here. Or, if you are more adventurous, borrow our canoes and do a down river trip, or go for a longer hike up Pine Mountain in the Pine Mountain National Park. Or, bring your mountain or road bikes and do some cycling on the picturesque roads and trails. The Big Bend is the most open camping site suitable for larger groups. Access to the river for swimming is good. This site is accessible to 2-wheel drive vehicles. The Fishing Hole is our most remote location, accessible during the summer by high clearance 2-wheel drive vehicles but 4-wheel drive is highly recommended. There is good access to the river here for swimming. This site is clothing optional. You are basically on your own in a remote place. Wear whatever you like, including nothing at all. River Red Gums is a single campsite, also remote and primitive, accessible by high clearance 2-wheel drive vehicles during dry weather. Again, 4 wheel drive is recommended. Access to the river is easy and the bank slopes gently down making it a great place for swimming. This site is also clothing optional. The Old Pump Hole is upstream of all the other camp sites. It is the easiest to access. Most vehicles will get to this site. The bank here is steeper so swimming is not as easy. However, always improvising, campers at this location jump in here with their li-los, inner tubes and other flotation devices and float down to The Big Bend, get out and then come back and do it again. This is an area set on a small hill overlooking the river, as shown in the photos. The Willows, our newest site, is between The Big Bed and River Red Gums, set under the shade of some willows a few metres from the river bank. The bank here is also steep, but again, campers can hop into the river here and float down to River Red Gums, or walk either to River Red Gums or The Big Bend for swimming. The Willows is also clothing optional. The campsites are well spaced out, with a minimum of 200 metres between the nearest two locations. In fact, it either impossible or very difficult to see anyone else at the other camp sites from your own camp site. Each camp site is accessible via its own track, so you won't have other vehicles driving past your camp site. We have a Leave No Trace policy, please take all rubbish with you. (This also means not throwing bottles, cans, bottle tops, aluminium foil and other non-biodegradable items into the camp fire.) Dogs are allowed, but please keep them under control, particularly if near cattle. Campfires are allowed only in braziers provided, when fire bans are not in place. You can gather your own firewood or purchase firewood from us (see "Extras"). Please arrive before dark if you haven't been here before. It is difficult to understand a new camp site in the dark. We provide a toilet at each location, for your convenience and the cleanliness of the camp site in general. Nothing but your human deposit and toilet paper in the toilet please. No disposable wipes, nappies etc. Please put these in your trash. Also, bring your drone but use it only over locations that are not occupied. We have canoes to borrow and seasonal produce is available from the garden. And, again, wood for purchase if you don't want to gather your own. Please see "Extras"

Off-lead can be decided depending on the dog and the interaction with our passive 10 year old Koolie who is very relaxed around other dogs. They must be controlled as sheep are nearby and we have an abundance of wildlife. We have a slackline, a rope swing and badmitten for anyone looking to include more play in their stay! Responsible campfires are permitted in the metal fire pits in designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood can be purchased for $15 P bag Full Mobile reception for Telstra and Optus although we encourage you to minimise screen time during your stay and immerse yourself in the off-grid lifestyle 😉. We recommend extending your stay at least two nights at the station and taking the time to explore Cobar; a unique town, rich in mining heritage and natural attractions. Visitors will be amazed by open-cut mines, Aboriginal rock art, museums and colonial buildings and new sound chapel. If your into bike riding or long walks we have a bitumen walking/bike track that goes into town not far from our station entry. If you want to duck into the local club to have dinner, or a few drinks there's a courtesy bus to Golf Club Available that will collect you from our front gate. Add on extras to make your stay more memorable with tours, hampers, animal feeding, holistic treatments and if any farm work is happening your welcome to watch or join in.

If you like camping and staying in something unique Artisans Park is the place for you, If you want a luxurious five star stay we are defiantly not the place our stays are basic and clean. 1949 London Bus, WW2 Army Tower, 1885 Trig Hut Artisans Park is located 45 minutes from Bathurst and is the closest city for food and fuel. We do not have local shops or fuel stations. The London bus is suitable for children as the upper deck houses the bedroom. The lower deck houses the kitchen and bathroom with a front deck complete with barbecue and amazing views. Relax and watch the kangaroos and eagles from your private deck. Summer swimming in the crystal clear river and winter camp fires where you can toast marshmallows. The lower level has a cooktop "no oven or fridge share fridge at entrance of park", outside gas BBQ and tables. You will need to bring your own drinking water. There is a toilet and shower downstairs. The top deck has two small single beds and one double, quilts and pillows however BYO linen sheets and towels. This bus has featured on many TV shows and is often featured in travel magazines, including on Better Homes and Gardens television in 2013 and in many magazines shoots. No pets please. once again no pets including dogs.

It's close to the road so it is easy access in and out, another two at the back with water views and one in the forest (If you have 4wd and portable loo we can give you an exclusive spot in the bottom of the golden gorge). Enjoy the sounds of the bubbling stream and see the sunset at the waterhole. Sit back and relax around the campfire whilst toasting a marshmallow or some damper. This campsite offers a unique heptagonal toilet (no shower yet but its on the way). Please ensure you're fully self sufficient with all other supplies (including water). From here you can explore the amazing Blue Mountain views, marvel at a magical glow worm dell, check out the 2 apple cider breweries and taste some of the region's delicious produce. Colo River is 30 mins away, a clear waterhole is 10 min drive ( 4wd only- hosts can transport if available), the mouth of a hiking trail to the National Park is on the property, the main township of Bilpin is close by with the baker, fruit and vege picking, Mountain Bells Cafe (host recommendation), apple pies galore and the restaurant , the markets are on Saturday morning 10-12 noon at the local hall and there is a free meditation group 9am Sunday at the monastery. With so much to do you will need more than one night or plan a return visit to the amazing Mountain Lagoon Hideaway at Bilpin! We can also offer massage and reiki treatments on site as a 'nature immersion' experience or if you prefer it can be in the privacy of a massage studio (10 mins away), guided nature and wildlife walks/sunset walks or longer hikes, professional ecology tours, fire twirling lessons or performance and African drumming lessons, games for the kids, local produce hampers, eggs and BBQS (with notice and if hosts are available). Please discuss with your hosts for further details and availability :) PLEASE ensure you read rules and safety as well as directions, because GPS will take you to the wrong property. The land is a nature retreat and developing animal rescue sanctuary so we love to share the space with respectful nature loving people :) Our motto is leave no trace. We look forward to welcoming you to our unique and magical slice of paradise! 🪵 IMPORTANT : Only use rock circles for fire. Fire must be put out if you 1) Leave the site each day 2) Each night before bed and 3) When you leave completely. Sticks in the buckets for animals to safely exit if they fall in. Whats App us with plenty of notice if you need more water. If it is hot weather or windy there may be a TOTAL FIRE ban.
