Old stories say that Devils Lake once guarded a serpent or a water spirit. Today, as you bask lakeside at this picturesque state park, you’ll find other things filling the water with story worthy beauty--such as rainbow trout, yellow perch and largemouth bass. This freshwater playground is meant for paddles, swimmers, boaters, fishers and skiers and it offers 678 acres of watery wonderland to explore. Devils Lake State Park is nestled in Lincoln City (considered kite capital of the world!) and the surrounding coastal area is ruggedly verdant, packed with amazing hiking options, beachside adventure and small town enchantment. Come here for the day or for the night and leave with the salt air in your hair and freshwater in your palms.
