If you are turning onto a dirt road without a sign....you are on the wrong road. Juniper Valley Spur is my short culdesac road with a road sign and a locked green pipe rail gate at the end. FIRE BAN IS IN EFFECT ALL YEAR ROUND. This includes NO USE of camp stoves, jet boils, bbq grills unless inside your van or trailer. Please plan on picnic foods. Thank you. This is a high desert terrain highly volatile and afternoon breezes can come up in the summer.
There are 3 RV and/or camping sites available for campers to book. Please note that there are no RV hookups for any of the sites. You will be parking on loose gravel and the sites are relatively flat. We can accommodate most RVs/trailers, if you are uncertain about the size just send me a message.
There is a portapotty in the hay barn cleaned regularly and a water spigot for non-potable water uses. There is no shower available but you could wash off hands and feet if desired with the hose.
Pets are allowed at campsites #2 and #3 only. These campsites are farthest from the horses and dogs. Please keep dogs on leash at all times.
The property offers a beautiful view of Mount Shasta. Nature lovers, extreme sports enthusiasts, family vacationers and retirees, can all enjoy the vast recreational opportunities this area has to offer.
Lake Siskiyou is about 20 miles south and offers a wonderful 7-mile hiking trail around the entire lake.

This is an extremely quiet and peaceful spot with access through a private gate. It is a one minute walk to the Gateway Hiking and Biking trailhead and right on the way to Bunny Flat and further up the mountain. I do not have bathroom facilities, but I do have electricity and drinking water. There is a covered kitchen area with a cold water sink available to wash face/hands/dishes or to obtain drinking water. There is also some counter top area, with electricity. There are no streetlights; we live in the country. There ARE lights at the property entrance gate and in the kitchen area. The vehicle camping/parking spot is on level gravel under a large oak tree and commands a generous view. The tent camping area and the covered kitchen are a short walk further, on a paved road. The tent camping area is again under giant oaks, on soft ground, nestled in a hidden cove amid the landscaping. and conveniently near the covered kitchen area. You will sleep peacefully under a multitude of stars and awaken to a chorus of early bird song, including quail, robins, finches, jays, audubon warblers and many others who may be migrating through. We are on the Pacific Flyway. Take your coffee to the pond sitting area and let the sounds of the waterfall wash over you.

We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). DO NOT TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THE NORTH, IT IS CLOSED! PIease try to ignore the "car art" in the Pit River Tribe's Rancheria as you're coming here. Drive right through it, it's no reflection on us. The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip!
No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

Near Kangaroo lake for fishing, swimming, hiking, boating. Bicycle groups and motorcycle groups going by every summer. We're at 3000 feet, so nights are cool even in summer. Bring layers. Bright stars, Air fresh and clean. Minimal mosquitos due to dry climate. Pan for gold and swim in Scott River nearby.

Formerly used as a horse property, we bought this property in 2016 and have renovated the barn and paddocks for llamas and alpacas. We have been collecting RV trailers for the last 10 years with the dream of having this kind of opportunity, and now it is becoming a reality! Now we have 16 animals that make for a fun getaway destination for campers. Stay with us in a "Glamping Trailer" or a "Comfy Sunroom" for the night while enjoying the One Thing Ranch experience with llamas and alpacas. Visit with our animals and take a ranch tour, or just get away from it all while you enjoy the beauty of the local area of Trinity County. Explore the nearby Shasta Trinity National Forest while staying in our ranch, or make us your launching pad for a backpacking trip to the Trinity Alps Wilderness...your first (or last?) We had a great stay at Eddies place in Dunsmuir! Nice deck and picnic table for happy hour and morning coffee. The site was level and easy to access. The location was quiet and walkable to the Dining car at Jubilee Railroad. Eddie was a great host who greeted us when we arrived. We will be staying again the next time we go to Dunsmuir.

It’s hard to put into words how special Michael’s property really is. The setting of the campsites on the river is just spectacular and the solitude and peace we found during our stay there was everything we were hoping for. We have a 23’ travel trailer and lot was pretty nice and flat for our unit. We also had the place to ourselves which was magical. The location is in close enough proximity to a few little local towns in case you needed to grab anything or want to go grab a bite in town. Michael’s communications were great, directions were easy and I would go back in a heartbeat. We hope to be able to go back again someday! Thank you so much Michael!

Amazing, magical natural hot springs. Campsites themselves are a first come first serve deal and they're pretty good, with most of them having at least one especially nice thing going for them (privacy in the trees, less privacy in the open field area but the sound of the river flowing by and goodnight sky viewing). I'll definitely be coming back.

The spot is beautiful. A little oasis with magical river and hot pools. I would visit again. It was late September and there were maybe 10 spots taken on a weekend, which gave everyone privacy. Instructions clear. The only downside: the teenage steers on the other side of the river were being weaned from their moms that weekend, and the 100 or so cows were very loud much of the day and night. Maybe just a once/year thing? I spoke with the rancher and he said that his cows are very talkative. They do look very well taken care of and mostly they look totally happy in the pasture. However, the bellows were quite loud and a bit distressing. Some people said they liked hearing them. Others didn't.

Such a great experience. I appreciate all the efforts the host puts into making this space enjoyable for visitors. The hotsprings were amazing. Might be good to mention in the instructions to pull hard on the lock to open it after entering in the code because we struggled with opening it but the host was very responsive when. We contacted them via their wifi. Thank you for allowing visitors to enjoy the hotsprings and beautiful nature here.
