We can accommodate most RVs/trailers, if you are uncertain about the size just send me a message. There is a portapotty in the hay barn cleaned regularly and a water spigot for non-potable water uses. There is no shower available but you could wash off hands and feet if desired with the hose. Pets are allowed at campsites #2 and #3 only. These campsites are farthest from the horses and dogs. Please keep dogs on leash at all times. Our property offers a beautiful view of Mount Shasta. Nature lovers, extreme sports enthusiasts, family vacationers and retirees, can all enjoy the vast recreational opportunities this area has to offer. Lake Siskiyou is about 20 miles south and offers a wonderful 7-mile hiking trail around the entire lake.

Groceries, massage, hardware store, laundry, bakery, showers, restaurants in Etna 8 miles away.  Farmer's market in Etna  Saturday morning. Not far from PCT trailhead outside of Callahan CA. If you need a ride from there, call and we'll pick you up if possible for $20. Firewood available, $1. a stick.  Near Kangaroo lake for fishing, swimming, hiking, boating. Bicycle groups and motorcycle groups going by every summer. We're at 3000 feet, so nights are cool even in summer.  Bright stars, Air fresh and clean.  Minimal mosquitos due to dry climate. We call it "RockFarm" because there's Serpentine rock here and you're welcome to collect some.  Even pan for gold and swim in Scott River nearby.

This was my first experience with Hipcamp. Greg and Karen’s Happy Valley Roadhouse is a gem! The property is located in a country neighborhood. The welcome from Greg and Karen and their canine companions was genuine. Their sharing of farm fresh eggs and a thermos of cauliflower curry soup and dog cookies was an added bonus. The views of the Trinity Mountains and Mt. Lassen were marvelous. Great place to camp and enjoy some downtime. I camped in a camper van with my Labrador retriever.

Campsite was great and was a little secluded from the RV sites. Bathroom was clean and also warm which was great when getting up in the middle of the night. Really enjoyed the friendly cat that kept visiting us. Only complaint was the freeway and road noise but earplugs will help with that.

Nice open meadow camping a short walk from well maintained hot springs along a beautiful river. Sites along the river have less shade but you get the lovely sound of flowing water. Sites across the meadow in the trees have plentiful shade. Check your dogs, in spring there are definitely ticks!

Honestly one of the most beautiful places that Ive stayed the night at. I was car camping and was able to drive right onto the property and park by barn to catch the sun set over the mountains. Also showed up alone but I wish I didn't because the space is perfect to relax and play some board games with friends. The hosts were also extremely kind and made me feel super safe and welcome. Toilet and outdoor shower amenities were also a huge plus and made the stay so much more comfortable. Its in a beautiful countryside area, away from people so you'll wake up to the sounds of farm animals and horses in the distance. Its a deal you cant beat and Im definitely staying here next time im in the area. No complaints from me! Thank you Karen!:)

This is a great stop off i5! Highlights include the am trail system right out the back door that leads to a river walk, and the close proximity to parks and waterfalls. The staff was friendly and eager to help. The airstream was tidy. If you’re a light sleeper the train and highway noise might be tough for you, and the airstream’s bed was pretty tough on my back, but it’s glamping after all.
