Daniel Boone National Forest and Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area both offer horse-friendly campgrounds, as do five of the state parks. If you're heading to the Kentucky Derby, stay at a Hipcamp or campground in the Louisville area. Of course not everything in Kentucky centers on the equestrian life.
