A hidden gem in the Wide Bay/Fraser Coast area of Queensland where relaxation, peace and privacy are unavoidable as are the sunsets and shooting stars in the clear skies above. We are 20 minutes from the quaint Childers Township and 50 minutes from Bundaberg. The property is totally private and caravans cannot been seen from the road, the owners live on the property and only booked guests are to enter the property offering security and peace of mind. Whether you want to bird watch, kayak, fish (catch and release only), hike or ride one of the many trails or sit, relax and read your favourite book, we promise a warm welcome; from the wildlife and the proprietors Tracie and Jimmy. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and made to feel completely welcome. The campsite itself was absolutely amazing super spacious, beautifully kept, and with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The owners were incredibly kind and genuinely lovely, which made the experience even more special. Overall, it was an unforgettable stay and worth every single bit of it. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back in a heartbeat!

Beautiful place to relax and unwind. Swimming in the big dam was beautiful. The dogs we free to play and we’re very happy. Jess was very lovely and made us feel very welcome. Definitely in my top 5 stays ever.

Great stay at a beautiful Hipcamp overlooking the dam. Peaceful, well set up, and perfect for a family getaway. Farmer Jess was a fantastic hostsuper welcoming and even brought down fresh watermelon, which was a lovely touch. We’ll definitely be back.

Jess’s place is incredible. Jess is amazing, the place is so well kept, Kayaks for use, heaps fire wood dropped off for $10, lots fruits grown in the orchard and super friendly goats and animals to pat. The place is stunning, quiet and sheltered. Our dogs loved being able to swim, and having some privacy and quiet time was perfect. Will be visiting again!! There aren’t amenities yet, but worth the stop.

Excellent spot to stay. We have a large caravan and dogs. The hospitality was great and we had a lovely meal at the hotel. The beach across the road was brilliant for the dogs and we would stay there again.

The land is beautiful, big open field with lots of places to camp. There is a small like you can fish in or sit out in a kayak and relax. We got lucky and had the whole area to ourselves but if you enjoy being around people and camp when others are there it seems like it’d be a lot of fun and not cramped at all. Jess the host was amazing, grows lots of exotic fruits and was very accommodating. 100% would recommend.

Great spot, fantastic dam for swimming and a paddle with free kayak use. Love the jetty and boat shed! Beautiful grassed campground but be prepared to do some leveling if you are in a caravan on some sites. Can't comment on toilet's as we are self contained so didn't use those facilities.

Such a gorgeous spot!! We had an incredible time camping at site 2, plenty of space from other campers! The toilets were flush toilets, with running handwashing water and soap, very clean! Our dog had the best time watching all the activity, going for leash free walkies on the hiking trail and having nice big swims in the dam! We also had fun with the complimentary kayaks! Owner is super nice and welcoming! This will definitely be our family camping spot from now on!

An amazing and stunning view this campsite has can’t be explained. More than anything, I’ve gotten a lot of help from the people from VietJess. Our car battery was dead and she took care of us and we finally fixed our car. It was all thanks to her. You should try the Vietnamese coffee she made.👍👍🏻👍🏿 I will definitely visit this place again !

We found this little gem of a place. Viet Jess which is on Rosedale Road Avondale QLD Jess and staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed 3 nights in this most relaxing camp site Hanoi 2 right in front of the dam. There are free kayaks with life jackets supplied. You can fish and swim in the dam. There is a play ground for kids and an animal farm with chooks, ducks, geese, pigs and goats. There is also a huge veggie garden which you can help yourself to beautiful vegetables. Thank you to Jess and the boys for the iced coffee and tea along with the melon soup that they made on our last night, absolutely delicious. There are no toilet or showers however we were self contained in our caravan. Everyone do yourself a favour and come and support Jess at her little hobby farm which has only been open about 3 months. Plus we had a great meal good prices at the Avondale Tavern which is only 3 ks from Viet Jess hobby farm .
