• Limited access to water, no power available (generators ok within reason).
• Various sites to camp or unhitch a caravan.
The property overlooks the glorious hills and valleys with a direct view of the Back of Mount Perry so it's time to unplug and chill!
• Dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead.
• We have cattle which graze freely throughout the property.
• Your welcome to come up at feeding time (approx. 4pm) to help feed the
sheep, goats pigs and chickens. (probably the cows).
• Our front gate must be kept closed at all times, all other gates the rule is if it closed then close it after you.
• We do have surveillance around the property.

• Mount Perry town is only approx. 10 minutes away.

Campsites have a breath taking view. Watch the sunset over the hills as you enjoy a well earned beverage by a camp fire. Set on 200 acres of bushland. We are private, we have a working farm of cattle and horses which roam freely through our property. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead. We also have goats, sheep, chooks, working dogs, geese and lots of beautiful trails to enjoy a walk.
Our nights sky's are perfect for Star Gazing.
Our sites are unpowered, no water and we have no facility's. You will need to be fully self sufficient.

In peaceful Mount Perry is a remote paradise, I call TAKAMUNA (house on the rise).
• I have 70 acres of beautiful land which you can, bush walk, swim in the dam
and enjoy a campfire (some wood provided).
• You will need to be fully self-sufficient, there are no amenities.
• Limited access to water, no power available (generators ok within reason).
• Various sites to camp or unhitch a caravan.
The property overlooks the glorious hills and valleys with a direct view of the Back of Mount Perry so it's time to unplug and chill!
• Dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead.
• We have cattle which graze freely throughout the property.
• Your welcome to come up at feeding time (approx. 4pm) to help feed the
sheep, goats pigs and chickens. (probably the cows).
• Our front gate must be kept closed at all times, all other gates the rule is if it closed then close it after you.
• We do have surveillance around the property.
Worth knowing
• Mount Perry town is only approx. 10 minutes away.
• Very limited cell coverage, no wifi, no amenities.
• Guests must be fully self contained.
• Guest will need to take their waste with them and leave no trace.
• We ask that you do not touch any wildlife on the property.

Day trips, Bundaberg is 1.5 hours away as well as it’s beautiful surrounding beaches. There’s also beautiful nearby country towns of Gayndah, Monto, Biggenden and Eidsvold.
The Burnett River is 30min down the road at Mingo Crossing. Here you can take a boat out or just swim and picnic by the river.

This camping spot is an absolute gem. The peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect place to switch off and unwind. The dam was maintained and ideal for enjoying a paddle on the kayaks or a refreshing swim. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Fire pits and firewood were available upon request. There was also the added option of a Vietnamese cooking class when booing to stay for a small extra fee. If you’re budget conscious and looking for serenity, nature and genuine hospitality, this place delivers it all. Highly recommended.

Fabulous find while we visited family in the area. We are 2Ad in a caravan & loved the spacious peaceful bush setting along with having potable water available. Great place ,plenty of room. We were a party of 6 +1 child and a dog. 3 vans and cars. Jess is very welcoming, she took us around and let us sample all the different fruit and told us what each plant was. We did the cooking class was great. Also Vietnamese iced coffee. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Nice big dam with kayaks to use. Definitely be back.

Brilliant! Exactly as described, so close to town and beaches. A great place to park up and explore Hervey Bay and surrounds. The grounds are kept beautifully and the kangaroos were awesome!!!

Well looked after site with a lot of space and clean ammenities. Matt took us all on a night time nature walk, spotlighting some of the local residents.

We loved our stay at Breathe at Rules Beach.
Camp ground is located on top a small ridge with cool sea breezes & ovean views through the trees. Camp sites are large, flat & grassy with plenty of space between sites.
We originally booked five nights but stayed an extra 2 nights, loved the access to Mitchell creek perfect for Kayaks & small boats.
Would like to thank our host Camille she was allways very responsive and very helpfull.

We loved camping here and will definitely want to return in the future. The owners and family were super friendly and helpful. We celebrated NYE by watching all the kids come together for a dance and karaoke session using the big projector, party lights and smoke machine. They had the best time! Camp sites were extremely spacious and had lots of tree coverage.

We had the best time at our campsite. So many bird species and loved the cattle.
We had plenty of space for our 2 vehicles and a lovely view of both the land and sea.
We took a brief stroll down to the fishing area which is small but lovely. Take not though the sand flies are ferocious so put bug spray on first. Also spotted an Emu and a beautiful red belly snake, which we didn’t disturb. Rules is so close to plenty of fishing and also the beach. Definitely coming back.

We had the most beautiful stay at Big Rocks Hip Camp for New Year's Eve. Peaceful, spacious and genuinely special, it’s one of those places that instantly helps you exhale.
The setting is beautiful – quiet and natural so you feel immersed in nature without feeling crowded. It was ideal for our kids, who had space to explore and just be kids, and equally perfect for our dogs, who were very much living their best lives. 🐕🌿
John and Lyn are the kind of hosts that make a great place exceptional – warm, welcoming, incredibly accommodating, and clearly passionate about sharing their little slice of the world. Nothing was too much trouble, and their care and thoughtfulness really showed.
