We have horses and cattle and it is a quiet and peaceful spot to kick back and relax. Well behaved dogs allowed on a leash, as we have dogs and other animals on property The single campsite (yes just the one site) overlooks a large dam with jetty. Horses and cattle roam around out the back. Feed the wild birds such as duck, parrots, kookaburras, and more. Just 5 minutes from Smiths Crossing for fresh water fishing, canoeing or swimming or go to Moore Park for a swim, surf or take the bike and use their great cycling paths. Other beaches close by are Miara, Norval Park and further away are Winfield, Baffle creek and the iconic Agnes Waters and 1770. All great spots to fish or crab. The Avondale Pub is 1km away with great meals and drinks, and the Bucca Pub is 10 minutes away with weekend entertainment. Jo's road house is just up the road and has all the essentials food wise with great pizzas, and fuel. Next to Jo's is an RACQ centre and mechanics. Great location and only a short drive to the beach. The camp itself is pretty simple but it’s what we expected when we booked. I would say to avoid this site if you have a low clearance 2WD as we struggled a little bit to get out with our campervan. Overall we would stay again purely for the location 😊

Great location, walking distance to Mon Repo Turtle centre and a healthy walk to Burnett Heads. Great advice from Karen for places to eat. The Windmill & Kelly's by the Sea both fab. Lovely large grased area right on the ocean. Peaceful close to Bundaberg too. We will definitely stay again. Thanks Karen

Our family loved our four nights at this campsite. We were on site 1 and were on our own for the duration of our stay. The location is amazing; literally a 30m walk to the public footpath, and a few metres further to the ocean. There's a great sandy beach around 100m walk away, which is perfect for a high tide swim. The site itself is grassy and totally open, which is great for solar and gave the kids somewhere to safely run around. Karen was very friendly and greeted us on the afternoon we arrived, explaining some of the local attractions. We would definitely stay again when we are next in the area.

Nice being a single site, undercover area and ensuite is great as can leave stuff in the area. We were in a tent and that worked well. Nice fire area, easy to find wood. Pub not far if needed. Went off looking at Bundaberg and small places in the area. Easy to find, and shown what was there. Friendly dog came to visit. No internet service, which wasnt bad.

Weekend Trip to Peaceful Bush Camp-Wrinkles

Wrinkles Bush Stay is a 10/10 must visit. It is the perfect blend of privacy with all the creature comforts you could need. Pull up your van and set up nothing because you have it all. A hot shower, toilet, fantastic patio with built in furniture including a bar overlooking the fire pit (which has flood lights) you have your own self contained area with a quant bush craft fence. You have a bit of bush walking to do which is great and there are giant gumtrees everywhere and firewood galore! I also found some great sticks to craft a couple walking poles and some smaller pieces that could make great spoons. I really enjoyed walking the property, I saw wallabies, a duck, a stallion and a mare, three bulls and three cows. I saw eagles and honey eaters I also saw black cockatoos flying in large flocks overhead in the afternoons which was a highlight. Really one of my favourite spots. I recommend staying here after camping off grid for a while to recharge. Couldn’t say one thing wrong about the place. Extended as long as I could. Thanks for having me.

This was our second time camping here for a week and it did not disappoint. It's so nice to have the whole space to yourself along with the covered area with power, toilet, hot shower and a great firepit from which we had many delightful meals. For those who enjoy wildlife spotting, I've seen over 55 species of birds on the property, wallabies, kangaroos, goanna, snakes and microbats, the horses and cattle are very friendly and enjoy a pat. Firewood is plentiful if you have a decent large toothed handsaw or chainsaw as it's very hard wood. Owners are also very friendly and communicative. Highly recommend staying here.

We loved our stay at Mon Repo Pines. The property is very well kept and directions there were easy to follow. We felt very comfortable there and safe to leave the van to go site seeing. It is right across from the beach and the bike/walking track. To be able to take a beautiful ride from our campsite to Burnett Heads town one way and Bargara the other was the highlight for us. Many thanks to the hosts, we’ll be back for sure!

We loved our stay here, in site 1 - closest to the beach. The trees along the south fence line provided an awesome wind break for the one windy day we had during our stay. So quiet at night, often visited by kangaroos in the evening. Karen popped by once to say hello and left us to ourselves for the remainder. The bicycle and footpath north and south along the coast provides easy access to Mon Repos Turtle Centre and the Bundaberg Marina, we loved taking the escooters along there. Highly recommend, we would stay here again for sure, next time during turtle laying season!
